goodhelmet Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Does it even start tonight??? Honestly, I thought it debuted tonight. I could be wrong.
sek69 Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 it started a 11 om EST. I'm watching it right now. They're gonna run a replay at 12 midnight Monday too.
goodhelmet Posted October 2, 2005 Author Report Posted October 2, 2005 Ok, a couple of notes... First off, with 1/1000th of the budget, the production values are 1000 times better than those of WCW. I know the ent is harping on featuring guys like Jeff Hardy, Leonard and other WWF rejects but I can see why they are doing it. The X division match was total spot-fu crap but the crowd was hyped and had more honest to goodness heat than anything I have seen in WWE in awhile. I am probably going to order the PPV tomorrow to check out Liger-Joe and to see how they handle the rest of the roster.
Mad Dog Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 The new production to the show is awesome. I loved the new camera angles and the fact that they turned the lights down. I thought it was a pretty good first show, better than what the spoilers told.
MyOwnSummer Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 I'm glad I stayed spoiler free. I admit I marked for "team sd". It was certainly an impressive debut show. I hope they can keep it up.
sek69 Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 I love how TNA has that vibe where the fans really mark out for the show. The matches might not all be five-star classics, but the crowd is buying what their being sold and that makes any show seem that much better when the fans are into it. It's a big contrast to WWE where most guys get entrance pops then maybe a pop for their finish.
