shoe
Honma is a major upgrade.
shoe
Pretty nothing opener. Komatsu's bump off Nakanishi's boot was pretty cringe worthy.
shoe
reDragon looked good. Jay White gets it. The false finishes were done so differently. You can tell reDragon watches 80's wrestling from MX to Tully and Arn.
shoe
Awesome 6 man match. It had a really good build. This allowed the high spots to achieve their maximum impact.
shoe
Liger vs Owens was ok. Owens works the back. It made sense, it's just wasn't very compelling.
stomperspc
Okay first half. Opener wasn't anything. The second match was fine but White and Tiger Mask didn't look too sharp. Junior six-man was fun and Dorada continues to look good in New Japan. He's over and that's also nice to see. Liger match was the typical solid current day Liger match but any number of US indie guys could have done the same or significantly better than Owens in this role. Lots of junior titles floating around in New Japan now. Wonder if they will do anything with that? NWA title match was poor 75% of the way but the crowd rallying behind Tenzan late saved it. Guess the NWA is sticking around after all.
shoe
Tenzan vs Conway started slow. It got going and the crowd really got behind Tenzan. They bought into all the false finishes as did I.

shoe
These last 2 matches have been pretty mediocre coming out of intermission.
shoe
I thought we got some smart work in the Bullet Club 6 man. They work over Tanahashi's cut from the other night was good. I liked this match. Best match of the 2nd 1/2 by leaps and bounds.
shoe
Awesome match. I had some real small issues early but a MOTY contender. What a build and so much drama. Ishii and Honma came through big.
pol
oh my god Honma. I thought the first 10 minutes or so of that was actually pretty whatever and was ready to say this was nowhere near the level of their previous two, but by god did they turn it up by the end. Always hard to know where to fall on matches like that (Doering vs. Shiozaki was a similar deal), but when it comes down to it I haven't felt anywhere close to as emotionally involved in any match this year as I did in that one and that has to count for a lot. I was literally shaking by the end thinking Honma was actually going to win.

Through the work I thought Honma was going to win. To me that means a lot.
pol
Main event couldn't follow Ishii/Honma at all, neither for me nor the Sendai crowd, it seemed. In fairness I was still on such a high from the previous match that I was having a hard time paying attention, but even were I to rewatch it I don't think it would be any better than a ***1/4 - 1/2 deal

Shining Wiz
Still making way through as I fell asleep watching live, but I have to say that I can't decide if the Bullet Club painting their faces like KISS is hilarious or hilariously stupid. shoe
I think Meltzer fell asleep during the show because he quit updating his live report.
Shining Wiz
I can't judge. Of course since I tried watching in bed on my iPad, I probably should have seen that coming.
Shining Wiz
Honma/Ishii was all kinds of goodness. THAT is now the best match I've watched all week.

I got a good chuckle out of Tonga posting pictures of it on Twitter.
Shining Wiz
No problems with the main. Solid match, maybe slightly hurt by the fact that the crowd in no way gave Nagata any chance of winning.
