WingedEagle
Rock came back to Raw in February 2011 to set up his role at Mania and his & Cena's 3 year run headlining the show. When was this deal put together? Was there ever an alternate plan in the works for Mania 27?
Beast
They only had 2 matches, not a trilogy.
Ricky Jackson
WM 27 was essentially built around Cena and Rock with Miz as Chris Jericho in WM
Fantastic
Rock came back to Raw in February 2011 to set up his role at Mania and his & Cena's 3 year run headlining the show. When was this deal put together? Was there ever an alternate plan in the works for Mania 27? Pretty sure the Observer mentioned around the time that serious talks between WWE and Rock were going since as early as Summer 2010, at least those pertaining to him hosting Wrestlemania XXVII. Presumably The Rock during these negotiations expressed interest in wanting to actually wrestle a match or two, so Mania would be written prior to his return with planting the seeds for a future match with Cena in mind. Of course, if Rock pulled out, you'd still have John Cena headlining and most likely winning the title from the "evil" Miz to send the crowd home happy. Hawkeye12
When did Rock switch agencies and go with his ex-wife instead? She's the one that told him he needed to go back to the WWE and get his name and fan base back if he wanted to save his Hollywood career. She was obviously a smart lady!
