KrisZ Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 Kris & David are joined by Pete Stein (Death Valley Driver Video Review) to discuss the week that was November 17-23, 1991. We discuss Randy Savage getting bitten by a snake, Atsushi Onita crying over All-Japan, the ULTIMATE Dragon, Ricky Steamboat returning to WCW, and the formation of the Dangerous Alliance. A very fun entertaining show so again a must listen!!!!!! http://placetobenation.com/between-the-sheets-18-november-17-23-1991-with-pete-stein/
PeteF3 Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 That Onita crying story is hilarious knowing what was going on at Survivor Series, probably shortly after this show was taped. Wrestlingdata says the Shooter was Katsutoshi Niiyama/Great Punk. Verichev's partner was Boris Gogichashivili--yes, THE Boris Gogichashivili. Edit: Bix must have found an outdated site--Online Onslaught is still up-to-date and already has an update on Sheamus winning the WWE title, and Rick Scaia recapping the quarterfinals episode of Raw.
The Chief Posted November 23, 2015 Report Posted November 23, 2015 THE RED X!!! I vividly remember getting THE RED X as late as 1996. I live in Upstate NY and we used to get CKWS TV (Canadian channel) that would have their own version of the syndicated shows. The always aired months late, at least two or three months after the original air date. They would talk about how Ultimate Warrior is on his way back to the WWF when in real time he had already left the company. Anyways, I remember they were very sensitive about violence. Anytime a chair was used, they would flash the red X and I think they may have also freezed the screen on occasion. It became something of a running gag between me and my friends where we would guess which parts of the show would be censored months later on the Canadian version.

Looks like I ended up at this page somehow.
WrestlingPower Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 LOVE the Champ Forum talk, I loved that show. The public access show that Dean & I ended up doing was sort of inspired by that. At the time I think I knew whether or not Music & Sports Channel turned into Gaora, I think it did as I think I have a tape of where the last Champ Forum was then replaced by Gaea TV. Was it ever revealed who the masked guy was on that show?
