This is a fun episode as we go through the Gordy list to actually see if Mistico is deserving of going in to the WONHOF. Keith has some great points during this show, and is definitely worth a listen if you want to learn more about the candidacy of the much maligned in regent times candidate.

This is more of an argument for CM Punk but, when it comes to the whole "affirmative action" argument I would just like to point out that when adjusted for inflation the average ticket price in the 80's is equal to a shirt today. So to me with the product being more readily available on tape merch sales are directly equal to draw especially when people make their purchases at places other than live events.

Also this is quickly becoming by new favorite podcast.

Another great show with Dylan, Allan, and Brandon -- three voices I always seek out regardless of platform. This is a purely subjective point, but if Shawn Michaels is in the Hall of Fame, I don't see how you can exclude Danielson, and I think that this point will become even more apparent in the coming years. A large percentage of the current indie rookies will cite him as an influence, I am sure, and this will be an even stronger trend a generation or two up.

Danielson, one could argue, was a more important figure than Angle. Then again, even as a big Angle fan, I don't like the the fact that he made it in as quickly as he did.

Thanks for listening Ryan, it's very much appreciated.

I can't really argue your point there to be fair; apart from saying Michaels was more influential due to being on National TV the majority of his career. Does that mean Danielson being as big an influence is a fantastic achievement due limited eyes on him earlier on than Michaels had? Inversely, could it be said that if WWF's recruitment policy was to deep dive in to the indies in the 90s like it is now, that Michaels influence would be even more pronounced?

I'm really enjoying this show super excited for a CM Punk episode you may guess I'm a huge supporters of his HOF case.

Quick note I'm in no way a pro at audio editing but I've noticed your levels are a bit off your intro music is pretty loud and you (host) always seem to come in much lower than the guests

Welcome to the fifth in a series of shows discussing varies Wrestling Observer Hall Of Fame 2016 candidates.

Each show will be discussing the merits of a candidate with someone who would likely vote for that candidate.

Over the coming weeks and months we'll be joined by a variety of guests; writers, historians, podcast personalities to discuss candidates on the ballot.

This episode we're kindly joined by The Great Brian Last - Brian is the host of the popular (and great) 6:05 Superpodcast - A podcast about classic pro wrestling with co-host David Bixenspan as well as co-host of the Jim Cornette Experience over at MLW Radio. Brian is here to discuss the candidacy of Kerry Von Erich.

There are some audio issues during this episode that I'm afraid couldn't be edited out in post production. They however, shouldn't detract from a great episode. Brian and I go through the reasons why we feel Kerry is a worth candidate, and at the least someone who maybe should be getting >10% of the vote.

Brian is a great guest and I hope you enjoy the show!

Really enjoyed the episode, going to back and listen to the others. I think Kerry deserves to be in the HoF. Keep up the good work, Allan.

Thanks for listening and really appreciate the comments. Do you now feel Kerry has a better case for the HoF or do you still see him at the lower end of the votes?
