KrisZ
Kris & David are joined by Pete Lederberg (WFIA) to discuss the week that was April 26-May 2, 1987. We discuss the early stages of Jim Crockett’s Global Domination, Riki Choshu back in New Japan, the awesomeness of Austin Idol vs. Jerry Lawler’s steel cage hair match, and a great Bob Backlund story that came out of nowhere. Really fun show so check it out. 0:00:00 JCP: Main circuit, CWF, & UWF0:54:11 Int’l: AJPW, NJPW, AJW, & UK1:24:06 Eastern USA: Continental & Memphis1:50:23 Western USA: AWA, Portland, WCCW, & Potpourri2:22:30 WWF The PWO-PTBN Podcast Network features great shows you can find right here at Place to Be Nation. Parties
I'm 30 mins in, and already dig how much Pete sounds like George Saunders.
Outsider
Thank You for going back to what I believe is the "Golden Age of Wrestling!" (1982-1992) Anyway I love your show and love the Audio inserts and promos.
Mad Dog
A bit late on this one. Part of Heenan's promo was bleeped on the original broadcast. It happened before Patera started talking.
Blazer
Just wanted to let Bix and Kris know how much I enjoy these shows. I download them and listen as I'm falling asleep at night. This time frame ('85-'88) is my favorite, and in particular this period in '87 is just absolutely my wheelhouse in terms of good wrestling memories while growing up (still with a half dozen or so different territories running on tv every week). If I could ever guest-host with you two, it would be an honor. Great stuff. Love the format of the show and especially the sound clips you've been adding.
