Rise of the WWE

Thought this was the best place to post about a subreddit I found discussing the Rise of the WWE. Posted about 6 months ago, it's actually about Vince McMahon's purchase of the WWF and it's rise in the early 80's. I just finished part 2 and it's been a pretty good read so far. It's not sourced, but I have seen comments pointing out anything that may be off. Would be interested in hearing what anyone else thought of it. Are there any good books or articles that go into this time in detail?

Taking a quick glance, it contains a lot of info found in Sex, Lies and Headlocks from 2002, plus I'm guessing a lot from Meltzer over the years

Also, not sure how much truth there is to his claim that the original plan was for Hogan to defeat Backlund but Bob refused to drop it to that "stiff"

The bit about the champ not travelling to Detroit to George Cannon's Superstars of Wrestling promotion is something I've never heard before. In fact, I don't know much about Detroit post-Sheik at all.
