soup23
Silver King has become the unsung hero of the WCW C-shows. King is really good here redoing it up throwing Lash outside and biting him. I didn’t like Leroux making a comeback by going for a low blow. Silver King does a unique 360 elbow to the outside and uses the steps again. Double jump moonsault misses for King and here is Lash’s comeback proper. Some fairly weak big offense including an armdrag that he goes for the pin on. The frog splash for Lash misses but King misses a big dive moments later. This allows Leroux to hit his Whiplash 2000 which looks fucking awful to win. Bad effort from Lash here. *3/
Loss
One of the most consistent C-show guys against one of the most inconsistent C-show guys. You can't completely ignore Lash Leroux because occasionally, he'll bust out something decent. I'm all for Silver King bringing FOREHEAD BITING to WCW Saturday Night and all against Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson not even calling it. He had a rough night here, blowing a basic criss-cross sequence, going for a pin after an armdrag (Whaa??) and even messing his finisher (unless that's how it's supposed to look, which ... wow). Silver King tried, but found himself in the Tracy Smothers role. Lash was at least better than Scotty Sabre, though.
AstroBoy
Yeah there was some miscommunication and general ugliness here which prevented this from living up to the heights of Silver King vs. Barry Horowitz from January. Lash is just very annoying and there is something odd about the way he wrestles plus he seemed to be a step out of place at different points here. Both men sort of get their shit in during the finishing stretch with King busting out some neat top rope moves but it's Lash who wins with his incredibly weird finisher. Bring Horowitz back. GSR
I wasn’t a fan of this at all. It had its moments but LaRoux looked very hesitant at times, and it was the worse match of the three that Silver King has had on Saturday Night so far (although I would attribute that almost entirely to LaRoux). Lash hits a nice rana, jumping from the second turnbuckle to Sliver King, but King had to stand waiting for a couple of seconds whilst Lash prepared himself. Spinning DDT by Silver King for a one count, and a terrible miscommunication on a botched crossbody attempt by LaRoux when it looked like King was going for a clothesline. Lash tries for a Boston Crab but Silver King fights the hold in what looks like a bit of on the spot improvisation after the previous botch. Silver King misses his double springboard moonsault, and a crossbody off the top from LaRoux but he doesn’t even go for the pin (why do such a move then???). Crucifix by Lash for a two count and he then misses a splash off the top. Silver King with a powerbomb for a near fall. He misses a corkscrew senton and Lash catches him with his Whiplash 2000 for the pin. The Whiplash 2000 is a neckbreaker variation and I’m pretty sure he used it last week against Kaz Hayashi, although it wasn’t a finisher then. grendel
This match was a mess, thanx to Leroux. Silver King had to make this match all on his own, which was hard. I loved Silver King's 360 elbow spin to the outside of the ring. His performance was good throughout the entire match. Sorry, but I just don't like Lash Leroux........
