Highspots Wrestlecon Supershow, Friday 3/31/17

 

I had two friends who were there live saying it was the greatest match they had ever seen. Another one disliked it and called it a silly spotfest. I watched it yesterday. It was very entertaining, but I could have done without the dance competition in the middle of the match. Meltzer rated it 4 1/2****. I would have gone around 4.

 

This match seems to have been overlooked from some people who reviewed the big shows last weekend. It definitely needs to be seen

My thoughts exactly. Thought this had the potential to be on par with say a really good Dragon Gate tag like they used to do on early 2000s ROH shows. But once the dance off started, things only got more and more contrived. This is a bad PWG house show main event and PWG doesn't even do house shows.

I might be a sucker for these type of matches and the only person to post here to like the dance off. So much fun. I hope Wrestle Con does more matches like this. If this match had a Johnny Cockstrong/Joey Ryan/Sexxxy Eddy crotch spot it might have had every wacky cliche in independent wrestling.
