The Moondogs defeated Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs. NWA United States Champion Magnum TA defeated Swede Hanson. Terry Funk is shown on a pre-taped interview from after the Clash show. Terry Funk challenges Magnum TA to a rematch. He wants that US championship. Rocky Johnson defeated Ray Apollo. Iron Sheik defeated Jim Powers. Paul Jones says that they have to give a rematch to the former champions, but it won’t matter, his team is the best and they will retain the titles. Nikolai Volkoff defeated Paul Roma. One Man Gang defeated Mike Sharpe. Superstar Graham defeated Terry Gibbs. World Wide Wrestling Taping: Tully Blanchard defeated Steve Lombardi to retain the Television Championship. JJ Dillon brags about his two champions retaining their championships at the Clash of the Champions. He has a huge announcement...next week on WCW. Luna Vachon defeated Madusa in a rematch from Clash of the Champions. Clash of the Champions recap was done here for the entire segment. March 23, 1985 Charlotte, NC Charlotte Coliseum The Hart Brothers (Keith & Bruce) defeated Master’s of Torture (w/ Mr. Fuji) in 8:29. Madusa defeated Luna Vachon in 9:36. The Vachon’s & Thunderbolt Patterson defeated The Grappler’s & Luke Graham in 11:56. NWA Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Championship Match George Steele defeated Adrian Street (w/ Miss Linda) in 7:15. Pedro Morales defeated Mr. Saito (w/ Mr. Fuji) in 6:22. Rocky Johnson defeated Mr. Wrestling II in 10:38. Bob Orton Jr. defeated Johnny Weaver in 7:58. Main Event: Eight-Man Tag Team Match NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Foreign Legion {Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff} (w/ Paul Jones) & 24 Karat {NWA Television Champion Tully Blanchard & NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair} (w/ JJ Dillon) defeated Barry & Kendall Windham, NWA United States Champion Magnum TA & Sam Houston in 36:01. March 27, 1985 World Championship Wrestling TV Taping (Airing 3/30/85) Greenville, SC Memorial Auditorium Referees: Tommy Young, Earl Hebner, Sonny Fargo & Dean Malenko In a Mid Atlantic championship match, George “The Animal” Steele © defeated “Crazy” Luke Graham to retain the title. Sam Houston is back, defeating Steve Lombardi. The Grappler’s defeated Jerry Saggs & Brian Knobbs. NWA International Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk defeated NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Bruce Hart. After the match, Funk challenges Magnum TA to a rematch for the US Championship. Mr. Wrestling II defeated Terry Gibbs NWA Television Champion Tully Blanchard defeated NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Keith Hart to retain the NWA Television Championship. JJ Dillon arrives at the announcer’s set. He grabs a house microphone and begins to introduce the members of 24 Karat. He does these long, drawn out introductions. The longest reigning US Tag Team Champion in the history of the NWA….Ray “The Crippler” Stevens! Ray walks out, shaking JJ’s hand, arrogantly waving towards the fans. JJ then goes on to tell us how wonderful and successful the Television champion is, finally bringing him out. Tully comes back out with the TV title around his waist, his robe back on, hugging JJ and shaking Ray’s hand. JJ then brings out the World Heavyweight Champion, going down the champs accolades. He then brings out the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. The champ struts out in his custom made suit, 10 pounds of gold around his waist. JJ then says they will be introducing their newest member...but first...let’s go to commercial…”We sold mega dollar commercial deals for this announcement...go to the commercials!” When we come back from break, JJ introduces Bob Orton Jr. to the group. The other members clap their hands as Orton arrives from the locker room dressed to compete. He shakes everyone's hands. He tells Tony and David that the he will show everyone in the NWA why he is the newest athlete in 24 Karat, right now. He then strolls to the ring. Bob Orton Jr. defeated NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Owen Hart to end this week’s show. Dark Match: The Great Kokina won a $15,000 prize battle royal. March 28, 1985 World Wide Wrestling TV Taping (Airing 3/31/85) Rockhill, SC Winthorp Coliseum Referees: Tommy Young, Earl Hebner, Sonny Fargo & Dean Malenko Dark Match: Thunderbolt Patterson defeated Ray Apollo World Wide Wrestling TV Taping Adrian Street (w/ Miss Linda) defeated Rocky Johnson after spraying something into his eyes. After the match, Street challenged George Steele to a rematch for HIS Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. The Moondogs & The Vachon’s went to a double countout. 2 Cold Scorpio, fresh off a huge tour of Japan with New Japan Wrestling, defeated Toru Tanaka (w/ Mr. Fuji). The Great Kokina defeated Pedro Morales. During and after the match, Kokina is calling out One Man Gang. You got now a veteran group ready to do as much damage as the Horsemen did back then!
