This was taped in Tampa and aired clipped on the 8/15/81 episode of CWF.

 

Gordon Solie quickly explains the heated rivalry between the two and notes this will be no disqualification. Great heat for this but as they lock up we lose about 14 minutes and cut right to the final punch out. Still fun to watch these two throw blows at each other and of course Funk's selling is off the charts. Ends with the All Japan 70's finish. Neat little slice of history right here.
