The matches planned for ECW One Night Stand are Terry Funk/Tommy Dreamer vs. Edge/Mick Foley, Chris Benot vs. Dean Malenko, and Cena or HHH (depending on what happens Monday as it's not been leaked if Vince is even sure yet) vs. RVD.

Mark Henry may end up staying with WWE. He's not ready to leave and they are thin on the Smackdown side of things. Dusty Rhodes and others think he is coming along as a monster heel and they can work with him.

Ric Flair has signed a new deal and will be getting married again.

Billy Kidman in an interview said he knows he was fired for speaking at a meeting how undercard guys were being flown long hours back and forth to Europe tours on business class. It was uncomfortable especially with guys in suits and ties for dress code. He said the company told them they are doing well overseas yet travel for certain talent was part of expense cuts. He openly said it didn't make sense and he could see if it was done in the US based on that. He said he likes working indy's much better because wrestlers in WCW and WWE higher up were always paranoid someone on the undercard was going to steal the show with moves that will make them look bad. He said WWE management was all over cruiserweights for every little thing in a match expecting them to work the same style as everyone else with little time to jam everything in. He said morale was really bad among a lot of workers and the office doesn't even have a clue how it's hurting workers and the company.

Jim Cornette will do his segments for TNA mainly at the Nashville studios by tape because he's always been scared to fly. He will drive into Orlando mainly for ppv's and there will be some ppv's he'll miss if he's booked for ROH the night before thus not being able to make TNA in time by car. He is expected to do some sort of promo in ROH noting that he's in charge on TNA TV too. His role will only be as an on-air character as he has no interest in booking as he's tired out.

Yeah, now probably wouldn't be a good time to tell him that he has a greater chance of dying in a car crash than on an airplane.

Cornette's fear is more along the lines of knowing you're going down and not being able to do anything about it, IIRC.

That's why he used to leave standing orders with one of the Road Warriors to knock him into unconsciousness if they experienced extreme turbulence because he didn't want to be awake for a potential crash.

My favorite part this week of the Observer was the mention how Jarrett set up a conference call for the War Games Cage match; so all the participants could plan it out. The no shows for said call were Styles,Rhino,Killings, and one of AMW. The guys were fined 2 hundo. Rhino's status on the fine was unclear. Styles tried to call Jarrett, but Jarrett wouldn't take his call.

I mean a fraking conference call to go over a match. Wrestling is too corporate nowadays.

It sounds ridiculous, but pretty much everyone in that Wargames besides Sting and JJ take indy bookings during the week and probably couldn't all be in one place at the same time prior to the show. Considering having 8 guys in a cage would take some planning to avoid it becoming a total clusterfuck, they had to do something to get some planning done.

Personally, I'm waiting to see how the ROH-botz and TNA haters (they're usually the same people) reconcile Corny being the on-air authority figure in both promotions.

Why would anyone give a shit? I've heard nothing but positivity about it.
