Segunda Caida review of the match.

  • DORY FUNK JR. vs BUDDY COLT (07/27/1972; CWF House Tampa, FL; 00:06:28)
From ohtani’s jacket at Pro Wrestling Only: “These two match up well. I discovered that it's actually Mark Nulty on commentary with Buddy. I absolutely love Buddy's commentary, especially his explanation for this taped thumb. Great selling and offense from Dory. The crowd was molten too. Buddy has a beautiful counter to the spinning toe-hold. Buddy thinks he's won the title at the end but doesn't see the leg on the ropes. Very good footage.”

  • THE CRUSHER vs BLACKJACK MULLIGAN & BOBBY HEENAN (08/05/1972; WWA Indianapolis, IN; 00:11:06)

  • DORY FUNK JR. vs JACK BRISCO (08/07/1972; CWF House Orlando, FL; 00:08:14)
Dory defends the NWA title. Most of their matchups that we have look a lot better than this one, but there’s still good wrestling here.

  • JACKIE FARGO vs AL GREENE-NO DQ, HAIR (08/08/1972; NWA Mid-America; Mid South Coliseum; 00:33:43)
This match drew the first-ever sellout at Mid South Coliseum. The feud was so hot that Nashville ran outdoor shows for a while. Heel Al Greene defended the U.S. Junior Heavyweight Title on behalf of his brother Don, and if Greene lost, he, his brother and their manager would all have to leave town. One of Fargo’s biggest programs.
