  1. It's more like he's suplexing, then he's moonsauting and then he's MMAing. It's cool he can do all that shit but save some of that shit for other matches.
  2. One of my friends was at the AEW press conference and there was a marriage proposal. My wife and I went to a WEC event on our honeymoon so I can't really speak on that.
  3. I like Matt Riddle but I feel like he needs to simplify his offense a bit. His matches can get a little incoherent with him trying to show all the stuff he can do. He needs to learn how to keep it in his pants a little more.
  4. I like that they dimmed the crowd. It's not the super bright WWE presentation.
  5. I generally like Mauro but he has been insufferable for awhile now.
  6. I think there's a lack of hype because it's a really mediocre card on paper. The Gargano/Cole rematch is dumb and kind of breaks the NXT formula. Dream/Breeze has hype I don't think it is a big enough match to sell a show. Also the tag title situation is one of the worst missteps that NXT has made booking wise.
  7. Sam is just fucking useless. He must be working for next to nothing and that's why they use him. Even on that Hart/Magee doc he added nothing of value. He also looks like a troglodyte made love to a goat.
  8. I had some single friends that wouldn't believe me that I had to see my wedding ceremony to remember any of it because I was so focused on repeating what I was told and all of that stuff. So I understand them not remembering any of it.
  9. It can't be worse than Jericho: "Wow, that's crazy Mox, let me tell you about this product that got advertised on the Howard Stern show 15 years ago!"
  10. I'm actually glad he didn't sign with AEW. I don't hate the dick spot and there has been some creative uses of it. But he can't do that with a promotion with weekly TV and the audience is going to want it. So he's really in a situation he can't win with if he went to AEW. Honestly, Adam Cole kind of sucks too but I would probably take him over Joey Ryan. I think Joey Ryan at his best is a special attraction you bring to your Con so people can take goofy pictures with him. Then he works your show and does something silly with a legend like the battle with Socko or Jerry Lawler fireballing him in the dick. Shit like that's funny and gets memed up. So Joey Ryan serves a purpose popping up 3 or 4 times a year or at big shows with a Con attached.
  11. Well you can't have things being fun on TV.
  12. Oh yeah, that looks pretty awful outside of that match. Joe and Nakamura never really clicked in their matches either. Wasn't Asuka/James pretty terrible?
  13. I also wanted to mention what I think has been NXT's biggest blunder recently and that's the North American Championship. Dream has kind of made it seem important but they did an absolutely shitty job with the belt for a solid year. It was a meaningless prop almost immediately after being introduced. I also think the way they handled the current tag team title situation was absolutely terrible and buried the Street Profits. That angle was straight out of the bad booking handbook.
  14. The worst ones were the late 2016 and early 2017 ones where Bobby Roode was moving up the card and becoming champion. I would have to go back and watch but I remember one of those being sort of bad. Maybe Orlando or San Antonio. There are a lot of them that I would classify as one match shows though.
  15. Yeah, I find Twitter to be an absolute cesspool. Awful tech too as it's a bandwidth hog on your phone and runs like shit most of the time.
  16. What pissed me off was him bashing the Cody and Dustin hug. He was critical of an aspect that they straight up said in the build wasn't there. That match was "we love each other but we're going to beat the fuck out of each other for these specific issues." And I would hate to see what a thumbs up show looks like if you are giving that a thumbs in the middle.
  17. Like I said. I think he was mostly right and he did like the show. Brian was annoying though.
  18. The problem with the talent hoarding is they are just signing guys so no one else can have them. Do you really need Trevor Lee and ACH curtain jerking NXT house shows? Could anyone see those guys on the main roster doing anything meaningful? On HHH and NXT. His best choices there have been letting people like Regal run the show for him. I would question how many of the day to day booking choices he makes down there. Also I think the Specials are great almost always but I think the TV can be dry as hell at times.
  19. I feel like the "HHH is the savior" thing is just working the marks. I'm sure some things will improve but his programs have consistently bombed for 17 years now and I just don't see how he's going to be any better.
  20. I mean what do you expect. Their answer to the bad ratings has been to spam Roman and Shane all over both shows.
  21. I actually though Cornette was generally okay with his review but I thought Brian Last was being a try hard as he usually is with the modern stuff.
  22. It was weird because he was reading off of notes. I don't know if it was intentional or not. It was almost like 5 minutes were missing.
  23. He completely skipped the joshi match for some reason. I thought he was more positive on the show than I expected. I think he would have actually been more positive but Brian Last would always interrupt him and derail his thought process when he was saying more good things about it.
  24. See, I disagree with this. He could build a money bin and swim in it like Scrooge McDuck. Guy is cheating himself of the good life...
  25. I think he is talking about the people that endlessly harp on when he reports on what they are planning to do and then suddenly the opposite happen.
