  1. I think the problem with the oversea tours are the long flights which leads to immature men drinking and then you're stuck with drunk frat boys who are bored.
  2. I believe that he got drunk and out of control on one of the recent overseas tours.
  3. I've watched a lot of 80s WWF recently and I've found that I appreciate Don Muraco as a worker the more I see of him.
  4. Inoki owning the company would be interesting. It would probably mean Bryan Danielson and James Gibson in TNA.
  5. I would believe more of the opposite. He's been a problem well before his heel turn. RoH had trouble bringing him back in late 2003 because he was refusing to job. He also works for far fewer indies than he used to and he doesn't have near the positive press he used to. I think it's more he's become a huge mark for himself like Teddy Hart is.
  6. The funny thing was that Low Ki was quite the seller in TNA and got massively over as an underdog. Though he went to Japan in the fall of 2002, got a big head and became very difficult to deal with.
  7. It's mostly because they're watching the match. You'll get claps when there's rope breaks etc. The only thing that always gets a pop from the crowd are dives. The weirdest thing I've seen is Konnan's shoe throwing thing in TNA. It's extremely over and the crowd holds up their shoes after his matches.
  8. I think a match similar to the Ron Killings/Low Ki match from TNA would've come off well in that situation.
  9. My other beef with the early shows was they gave the Christopher Street Connection a ton of screen time and they didn't even get into the ring until the 6th or 7th show. That and they should've pushed them when they got massively over.
  10. Samoa Joe is a great wrestler. He's kind of average at first but he rapidly improves. His match with Homicide at Scramble Madness, I think, is a fairly good match.
  11. The best are the sports entertainment rants and talking about how it's about real wrestling in RoH during one of their spotfest scramble matches. BTW I hate RoH's scramble matches.
  12. The announcers get to the point where it's basically them treating the fans like some jilted prom date that needs built up.
  13. They switch announcers shortly after where you're at. But the new guys wouldn't know emotion if it bit them in the ass. The elitism never gets better though. The length equals quality attitude starts up soon as well.
  14. Watch RoH shows as the announcers are always terrible. The worst part is the RoH mutants buy their brand of crap and think they're these elite wrestling fans and every RoH match is a classic.
  15. Their first RoH match was better and the dumbed down TNA version was better as well.
  16. I liked the match. It wasn't great or anything but the announcers killed it by trying to be clever several times. I think there was more substance to it than it's getting credit for here. I think it did a good job of building Low Ki as a monster and Red as the underdog that you have to essentially murder to beat. I think Doug Williams/American Dragon and Christopher Daniels/AJ Styles were both better matches on that card.
  17. So were those extra 4000 tickets worth burying the young guys. This whole PPV annoyed the hell out of me. Hassan got buried every week leading up to it and they completely exposed the fact that his manager is a better wrestler than him. But I'm not surprised, they've always been short sighted like this.
  18. I think I paid $15 to the show I went to. The good seats were 30something.
