  1. Ludvig Borga did. Oh, and Dr. Guildo.
  2. I'm pretty sure Hogan and T only got booked because the original host canceled. That's the story I've read though I don't remember who it was who they replaced.
  3. Uh, I'm pretty sure AA did listen to doctors and retire. But it was only 14 years ago, so he's still right.
  4. He had a knee injury, but it was nothing so serious that he couldn't have worked on it. Didn't Austin also have a knee injury at Mania 13?
  5. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2011/04/08/17929556.html Oh lord
  6. When was Punk a heel in ECW? I didn't watch much ECW on Sci-Fi but I don't even remember reading about that.

  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1PbJCUgFpc Watch it while it's still there
  9. Yeah, after Taker got stretchered out they could have had Rock come out on the stage to say some last words, "Wasn't that a hell of a match," blah blah, then Cena comes out to brawl with him and gives him the AA (I don't know if Rock would want to take a bump on the stage but it probably doesn't hurt much worse than the ring). Or they could just do a pull-apart as the show came to a close. Either way, this would work better had there been no physical interaction between the two on the go-home Raw.
  10. Yes, Wade Barrett is champ.
  11. The double countout thing was pointless. They didn't need to do that to justify Rock coming out. He could have just come out right before the bell rang and did commentary, or just stood there at the entrance until his run-in.
  12. I really didn't get the part in the HHH/Taker match where HHH went and brooded in the corner after hitting Taker with the chair. Was it supposed to be that he had immediate remorse and didn't want to win that way? He had a chance to beat Taker and chose not to, which is totally against his character. Then when Taker starts to wake up HHH yells at him to STAY DOWN. Stay down for what? He was down for a minute and HHH didn't do anything!
  13. That was in '90. This time Tully turned them down because their offer was too low.
  14. Not bringing Tully in for this was one of those penny wise/pound foolish decisions WCW seemed to excel in. With Tully, they could have marketed the return of the original Horsemen and used that as a house show draw all over the south, with Flair/Arn/Tully in six-man tags with Ole in their corner. I can't say how well this would have drawn but I do know that WCW house show attendance sucked ass in 1993 and this couldn't have hurt. With Paul Roma, you just don't have that marketing hook, and that's not meant as "lol Paul Roma". Nobody else in WCW was an original Horseman either. But seriously, lol Paul Roma.
  15. Excellent article. I had no idea he offered to help the McMahon campaign months after denouncing it. The Superstar is still a worker, huh? What a sad life.
  16. Worth noting is that Stu Saks is all over this DVD. I have no idea why.
  17. I've long felt that either WWE or TNA at least once needed to have a major PPV title match end in 1-3 minutes just to show the fans that a match can end at any time and teach them to pop for near-falls, but this was SO not the way to do it. They need to fire Hardy now. I doubt WWE will take him in this condition anyway.
  18. Looking back, I don't know if I like WCW's frequent booking of Vader in squashes during his title reign. I don't really think it makes the champion look good to constantly wrestle jobbers, even if Vader is one of the best, um, squashers of all time. When he wasn't champ, then sure, no problem. I just think that it shouldn't look like any scrub can get a match with the world champion, even a non-title one.
  19. This Raw was an edited version of the March to Wrestlemania from the night before, so this was a recap. I assume given the time frame that the video in question was "Respect," right?
  20. He's wrestling Sheamus at next week's MSG house show.
  21. Until they fired Wes Adams for counting a pin on Morrison because Miz screwed up.
  22. It makes Vince feel like he's in the legitimate entertainment business, which is worth a few million lost.
  23. I had always heard that it was supposed to be Flair vs Magnum. Are you sure it wasn't supposed to be Nikita vs Garvin? Wikipedia says that they were feuding at the time.
  24. HHH should one-up him by releasing a shirt depicting himself riding a Triceratops.
  25. Someone 'shop that onto a Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper.
