  1. YouTube comments are the worst thing ever created, so I refuse to read those.

    LOL Strike Force

I doubt they'll lose Showtime. Also, CBS, at least publicly, is viewing it as an isolated incident.

    LOL Strike Force

Because it wasn't my idea and I get paid to run it. Being on a network of blogs that also includes Bloody Elbow and a bunch of other straight MMA blogs, our role is essentially "pro wrestling, some MMA coverage for wrestling fans, and some wrestling coverage geared towards lapsed wrestling fans who became MMA fans."

  5. RIP awesome fantasy booking fuel.
  6. Fuck it, they should do a live show with the FCW crew and whoever else is in the US, main evented by a street fight with Vince vs Funaki dressed as Shawn Michaels.
  7. Of course, he posted a more detailed version on the forum: The original report at the Torch site said he was dancing. At any rate, the questions still stand: Would this woman have been "grossed out" or would "guys" (wrestlers? other bar patrons?) be ready to beat up up if it wasn't 2 men kissing? Exactly what was boyfriend guy doing that was so lewd while dancing?
  8. It was from a one-off appearance more recently I think.
  9. Sorry Bix, but I have to disagree. He fucked up by the first sentence of the third paragraph. He fucked up by even sending an email to Terry Taylor with such bile. He should know by now how the wrestling business works. Terry Taylor is friends with Vince Russo and I believe was one of the people who went to bat for him to help him get his script writing job back. That this email would be passed around and used to disparage Cornette as being legitimately crazy was inevitable. Moreover, it's also inevitably going to be used to disparage any sane vocal critics of Vince Russo and TNA Wrestling's current direction, like Dave Meltzer, Bryan Alvarez, Wade Keller and Bruce Mitchell. This is only going to add to Vince Russo's persecution complex and Dixie Carter's belief that everyone is unfairly out to get him. If he really wants Vince Russo to lose his job for the good of the wrestling business, then he went about it in the worst way possible. Thanks a lot, Corny! Let me be more clear there: Cornette absolutely fucked up. Taylor was right for going to management. To keep things from blowing up even worse, Taylor could have at least called Cornette at some point to say something to the effect of "You sent that to my work email account, which TNA is able to read, and you know Vince is my friend. If I don't report it as I'm supposed to, I could get in a lot of trouble with the company and maybe even legally, as well as damage my friendship with Vince. Please be more careful in the future." Just an explanation for why he had to do it.
  10. If the new WON is any indication, the DOI story is actually true.
  11. He was working as a veteran player coach, people saw how funny he was backstage, and it didn't translate to TV.
  12. I love that this comes out within hours of my post about how I didn't think he really let that stuff get to him, though his reasoning taken on its own (that, like with Jim Herd, he feels that Russo irreparably damaged the wrestling business in ways that damaged the livelihood of him and his friends) is sound. The email itself isn't necessarily problematic in terms of threats (just in terms of Jim needing to deal with how angry this makes him) until the "willingly go to jail" line. He did fuck up there, and he needs to find a healthier way to deal with his anger, but Taylor should've talked to him about it first.
  13. I didnt know Pillman was bi-polar. I just thought he carried around a lot of guilt over his partner before Melanie, Rochelle's suicide. Piper always struck me as a bi-polar type. The Pillman thing came from Meltzer at some point.
  14. Kanyon, Eddy Guerrero, and Brian Pillman were also bipolar.
  15. Sweeney's bipolar. He went off his medication for an extended period of time and was in really bad shape throughout, with some bizarre episodes taking place like showing up at a show covered in dried blood and doing spots with fans outside the arena the day of the Raw taping after WM25. During that time, he made some comments that kind of implied a sexual relationship of some sort with Silkin, which had been rumored. He was eventually hospitalized, and has been properly medicated and doing fine since.
  16. As someone who talked to Cornette for two hours recently for a Slam Wrestling piece that will eventually come out, he comes off as someone who's happy not to talk about Russo et al, but does it in interviews because it's what people expect of him and find entertaining. When I asked him about doing a podcast where I promised not to mention Vince Russo, he laughed and seemed to love the idea of doing an interview where that stuff doesn't come up. Just look at how much he seemed to enjoy talking about his early years in the business on the YouShoot DVD. Sure, he has strong feelings of dislike of Russo but it seems more like a performance as opposed to letting that stuff get to him, especially as he's made it clear in interviews that he knows he needs to de-stress as much as possible for his health's sake. As far as the DOI piece, it's DOI, so I don't really believe anything they say.
  17. Right after the "death," later, or both?
  18. You mean he sent them other under names? Magnificent 7 at DVDVR emailed Mike and posted his reply.
  19. That really is a better way to put it. I'll ask the same thing I asked at DVDVR: It's not overly presumptuous to be sure that's why he did it, right? What else is there?
  20. I believe that he's dead but not the Charles Harris people found the death records for.
  21. Dave Meltzer gives more details at his forum, but cannot see the forest from the trees.
  22. Sorry Bix, should have been clearer: I was responding to SLL. Gotcha. So the anthrax/lost package thing with Mailman was legit and he just felt he was in over his head since he spent the money after sending the orders out?
  23. Oh, I know he was reviewing movies before that. That was part of the point, that he was using existing aliases, plus he was on that movie review site (Where he's listed as dead; it hasn't been updated since '08, but his death had been outed as fake before then, albeit with less proof than is easily available now) with Lorefice, Cobo, and a few others who he would've met through wrestling circles. Anyway, whether it's Victor Szanyi, Kevin Cook, Scott Mailman, or whoever else just faded away, or someone like Jose who's still in contact with people but not really on wrestling forums anymore, it doesn't require faking your death and devastating the people who considered him a friend.
  24. The Friday thing surprises me also because that's when Syfy runs their top shows. Smackdown on Friday throws off their established scheduling.
