These guys worked hard here. This is usually not my cup of tea but what is the score thing that would pop up in the corner from time to time.- 13 replies

Totally hate filled brawl. The rudos reallly built the heat. I don't usually LOL but this bout made me do it. Chicana was getting his ass beat down. They grab him and start to drag him away from the fans. He then grabs one of the fans legs and he begins to get dragged with Chicana even though he is desperately trying to get away.

[1992-03-01-NJPW-Big Fight Series] Masa Chono vs Shinya Hashimoto
shoe replied to Loss's topic in March 1992
It was a solid match that could get lost in the shuffle of some much greater bouts. Still this was a hard fought bout. Though I did find the pacing slow too.- 11 replies

When I saw Loss gave this 5 * I was no way is Rambo in a match that good. I was thinking of the guy who worked Europe. It was a much better Rambo here. This is a great match. I don't like it as much as Loss but do agree it is a MOTY contender. I loved all of the creative spots just that this match has in spades. Watching this stuff has me dieing to see the 80's Lucha set. I have been blown away so far by Dos Caras, Los Cowboys, and Negro Casas.

[1992-02-29-WCW-Superbrawl II] Rick Rude vs Ricky Steamboat
shoe replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
This is a great 70's style match that old pros in the back would love. It is based on Steamer working the arm, and working high spots around it. Rude worked the neck and did spots around it. They would take the crowd up and then took them down. Still what made this standout was the selling. It's hard to outsell Steamer, but I think Rude did.- 24 replies

I really liked this bout. The intensity was great. Al 4 looked good. Some people bag on Austin's performance but I don't see it. Sure he was the least of the 4, but he still brought it.I still would have liked to have cut a few minutes.

[1992-02-29-WCW-Superbrawl II] Jushin Liger vs Brian Pillman
shoe replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
At the time this was amazing. Still is a great one. I bought this show hoping that my man Sting would take the title along with Steamboat defeating Rude. Yet it was the Liger match that syuck with me and got me into tape trading. My 1st tape I got was best of Liger and got to see the Sano feud for the 1st time.- 22 replies

Just an amazing segment. Jake was a heels heel. -
Luger had the backne going. The crowd has always been behind Sting as champ, but not at the box office until Starcade 97.

[1992-02-24-WWF-Worcester, MA] Ric Flair vs Roddy Piper (Cage)
shoe replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
Escape the cage rules. The video isn't the greatest, but we get an all right bout. -
This was just super awesome. The heels were great during the shine segment. All 4 were awesome here. Rhodes was great in his FIP role. We get an awesome clusterfuck finish.Plus the fans are hot for this particularly Sting.

[1992-02-22-SMW-TV] Interview: Ivan Koloff, Vladimir Koloff & Jimmy Golden
shoe replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
This was a great segment. Super wild brawl. The chair shots that Ivan took were nasty. I will say after watching Fulton in SMW I really began to like his fire, intensity, and his cement like punches. He also was an effective promo.- 11 replies

In the Observer from this time they mention that they did the angle behind the curtain at another arena and just made it seem it happened at the SNME arena.- 18 replies

What everybody said is spot on. After seeing this match the audience was thinking if Pillman almost beat Rude, Steamer has got to beat Rude for the title.

This was a really strong match. The Can-Ams were throwing everything at Kawada and Kikuchi. This was a total battle.
