I’ve heard the opposite, when it came to rock concerts. Infamously called the “rectum” for how bad the sound was. -
I wonder if he’ll give it back or take it with him, or they sue him. It honestly surprises me this is happening again 32 years after Flair brought the big gold up with him.

WWE on ABC could be huge The TGIF era -
This picks at so much of history that’s gone before but also just the psychological underpinnings alone of everything going on in both companies, in a year in which the business’ most horrific tragedy will be on the big screen and on a day 28 years after things really began to change, it’s almost funny if it weren’t so sad too.

Clearly nobody is going to come out of this smelling like roses, for awhile anyway. Tony did the right thing but as many have noted it’s been maybe too long a time coming too. That said this could also galvanize the company against the sort of Chicken Little-ing this news tends to dredge up. As for the man himself I just hope he retires and moves onto something else. He’s smart, witty and could find himself in a better place without the industry again.

It would really put to test what he thinks is best for business if he makes amends with Phil, or just lets this current story play out enough that it makes it clear enough to the new bosses this is a headache they don’t need. Of which they obviously have a few at the moment.

AEW All In Wembley - 8/27 - Bruv, This Has All The Makings
flyonthewall2983 replied to Timbo Slice's topic in AEW
Watched Collision last night and now I can say I’m properly hyped. Whatever deficiencies in the booking or this guy not getting along with that guy, really melts away when considering the way this roster of matches has been set up, as basically the company’s coming out party internationally as it was when it began four years ago. I thought this years WrestleMania was perfect in a way I didn’t see coming. It felt more reflective of the entire history of professional wrestling in ways that were just multiplied by everyone’s effort and ingenuity towards putting on the best show possible. I think today will be no different, with the added twist of it being London and Wembley Stadium and a new market for a company that is as different to WWE as it also is obvious that they’ve been enriched by talent on screen and off that honed their craft either in the WWE or elsewhere across American indies or internationally in some cases. -

I love Camel. They were one of the last bands in the first wave of 70’s British progressive rock. Andy Latimer is a superb musician, on the guitar especially. Didn’t realize someone used their music but makes a lot of sense. https://youtu.be/UfyutJ-QHcs?si=lTU1CkOG5oqD2wLx

His WWE Hall of Fame speech was particularly touching concerning themes of life and death in pro wrestling.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4

Larry and Tony Schiovane briefly discuss the Shea Stadium match at the first Slamboree during that shows infamous cage match. I saw a thing with Bret more recently giving Rey Mysterio his props, to the point which he said he regretted not working with him in WCW. He seems to have aged out of some his more ignorant views he expressed when he was younger and in his book, thankfully. -
I disagree, but don’t think it was meant to be a full time series anyway just something of an interesting side note to stories featured not exactly fitting the format, but essential to understanding the culture of the territory era. And some of the round tables were really good. Watching Jeff and Jerry Jarrett talk together was a touching thing to see.

Not so much an odd pairing but two names I didn’t think I’d see next to each other, Ric Flair and Big John Studd were tag team champs in the Crockett territory for awhile
