  1. This is one of those times where I really hope 1Bob and PWI are as full as shit as I think they are.
  2. Randy Savage Savage could get good matches out of Warrior, whereas Benoit couldn't do the same with the equivalence of Billy Gunn, among others. Savage was a better draw too.
  3. Mick Foley Drew better than Benoit, and got decent->good matches out of lugs, something Benoit didn't do too often, if at all.
  4. Eddy Guerrero Better matches, and Eddy was able to achieve more than was ever thought possible given his circumstances. Better draw too.
  5. Chris Benoit Better upper card success, and better matches as a single. DBS had some good stuff in tag matches, but was in the shadow of his partner.
  6. Shawn Michaels This one is based on match quality and I think Shawn beats Benoit's WWF career here, especially dating back to his Rockers days.
  7. Chris Benoit I've never claimed to be an objective person.
  8. Chris Benoit Really tough call here, as I almost voted Jericho just because he's never been injured for a lengthy amount of time, which is a huge accomplishment in itself. However, to put it in short, it's almost safe to say that, looking back at Benoit's career, he's accomplished as much as he could do under his own circumstances, whereas Jericho's career is looked upon as a disappointment. Jericho's best match trumps Benoit's, but Benoit has had the better set of matches as a whole.
  9. Steve Austin This is similar to the Rock vote, as Benoit's slide in match quality after the injury is the big factor here. Oddly enough, I remember more great Steve Austin WWF matches than I do of Chris Benoit. Also, it's tough to ignore Austin's impact.
  10. Randy Savage I'll let GH do a detailed explanation, but Savage had better matches than Rock did and could play both face and heel better. Savage's time on top of the promotion is very underrated, as he had a nice run with DiBiase, plus his initial WWF championship wasn't in the original plans, and it worked out for a year. I think, in comparison, Rock's time on top had always been in the company's plans at some point. I often wonder: If Honky hadn't refused to drop the IC title, how much longer would Savage had been a midcarder?
  11. The Rock Hogan probably drew more money, but I think Rock gave back to the business more.
  12. The Rock If this was entire careers, I'd go with Foley, easily. But most of Foley's work, aside from a few things, doesn't hold up. Some Guy, I thought Rock was a Democrat? Or am I mixing him up with someone else?
  13. The Rock Often, I'd lean towards the better worker, but DBS became another musclebound freak in the early 90s, so tough luck for him. Rock wins everywhere else.
  14. The Rock No contest here.
  15. The Rock Jericho's a better worker, but the rest of him is Rock-lite: All the character, charisma, overness of the Rock, but without the push. It's a shame, because I think Rock saw that in him too.
  16. Steve Austin Austin's a far better worker and brought the company back to its feet. The Rock grabbed a hold of things on the mainstream level, but is it possible that he would have done this without Austin 3:16 leading the way? I think Rock's been the more professional guy and never let his career slip into the foolishness that Austin allowed his to go into, but it's hard to ignore the impact, considering the opportunity for Austin 3:16 to emerge almost never happened, thanks to Hunter Hearst Helmsley originally being the man to come out on top of King Of The Ring. I think Rock's always been pushed stronger, as evidenced by his early years. Austin maybe more later on, once Vince really became a fan of the guy, but Rock has the mold that Vince likes in a superstar. That reason alone is why I choose Austin here, because he brought in a new era when it's doubtful that Vince fully had him in mind to do so.
  17. The Rock I voted Eddy Guerrero over The Rock previously and I stick with that vote. However, now I choose The Rock over Chris Benoit, because when I voted for Eddy, I voted him because the uphill battles he faced have been bigger than what the Rock has faced and what Benoit's faced. I almost voted Benoit, because for a guy who was never marketed strongly by the company, he's done fairly well for himself. (Remember when, in 2000, there was one T-shirt for Benoit, in a company known for its marketing priorities?) However, unlike Eddy, Benoit hasn't had as good of matches, nor ability to draw money. Maybe Benoit would have that opportunity if the company really gave it to him, but Eddy's been able to do this without anyone's help. Anyways, I'm REALLY getting off the subject matter here... Rock's better on the mic, is great at working the crowd and, unbelievably enough, his best match in the company is better than Benoit's best match. Benoit's also faced a decline in the company, possibly more severe than any of the ones that have come from WCW. While, ring-wise, it doesn't take nearly as much ability to work a typical Rock match, if he came back tomorrow, he may not miss a beat, judging from his other returns. I'll go with Rock here, slightly, because of that, plus he's had a greater impact.
  18. Bret Hart I'm using goodhelmet's reasoning, but with a different outlook: Warrior > Diesel, in my opinion. Plus more people gave a shit about Warrior, so Savage had a slightly easier task. And thus concludes my "Vote for Bret Hart" day.
  19. Bret Hart Hart stuck around longer than Hogan did, had better matches and even near his exit, prepared the company for the future more than Hogan did.
  20. Bret Hart Like the Hart-Jericho vote, this is another program I would have loved to see.
  21. Bret Hart Hart remained consistently good in his career, whereas Davey Boy wasn't the same once he became a superheavyweight.
  22. Bret Hart Far more well-rounded than Michaels was.
  23. Bret Hart Better matches and longevity win here.
  24. Bret Hart It's too bad these two never got to work with each other in a major program.
  25. Bret Hart HTQ saved me some typing work. See his reasoning.
