  1. The story in the latest WON about the behind the scenes stuff leading up to Black Saturday is absolutely fascinating. It kind of makes sense that Ole is a bitter old fuck now after reading that.
  2. Either they want to make it an option in areas with little to no access to internet fast enough for streaming video, or they aren't giving up hope on making it an honest to goodness real TV Network.
  3. The thing about Cena is while he's always going to be WWE's security blanket when they need to put the belt on someone, I don't think he's going to be able to physically be able to go at the level he's at much longer. While he may still be in cosmetic shape, Dave's always talking about how thrashed his body is. I'm sure he'd want to do what he does for the next 100 years, but at some point he's going to hit the wall.
  4. Well that can't be true since Tenay and Taz didn't spend the whole time calling the women whores and bitches.
  5. A title change just doesn't seem right without the Fink declaring a NEWWWWWWWWWWWWW champion. Every WWF/E announcer since then seems like a substitute teacher.
  6. So what's the deal with that Bill Flood guy on Twitter claiming he has inside SCOOPZ about WWE? Per his bio he was a scout at some point and states he still has contact with the guys. His latest is that he talked to Punk personally and he'll be coming back after SummerSlam but before Bryan returns. I don't think much of it personally, but I'm kind of surprised no one seems to mention him one way or another.

Bryan and Dave were adamant that the injury was completely worked with the point being for fans to think it was real since they had the doctor run in and made sure to keep the cameras off him. All I know is this meta-booking is starting to veer into "everything you see is fake except this segment right here" shooty-shoot Russoish bullshit.

If it's true that the Rollins/Ambrose match is being pushed to SummerSlam, that seems to be another attempt by WWE to not give the fans what they've said they want in order to push what they feel fans should want. It really is amazing to see. They picked who they want to be top guys based on mostly cosmetic reasons, and the one they didn't see star potential in has been running laps around the chosen ones.
  9. Some quality trolling going on at the ol' WWE Dot Com right now: http://www.wwe.com/inside/polls/who-is-the-biggest-crybaby-in-wwe-history
  10. This sounds like me trying to sound contrarian, but I always feit Bret was overrated. Not that he wasn't any good, but the WWF was by and large not that great when he started to get the serious singles push that it made him look 10x as good as he actually was.

The up close shots seemed to be Sting, they showed shots of a guy in Sting gear walking down the aisle who was probably an actor.
  12. I'd like to mention another big issue with the network: awful customer service. Videos still don't play when I try to access the Network via my mac mini computer, and my only options for support are to call an outsourced call center where the people barely are understandable and only can do the very basic troubleshooting, or try via email and get obviously cut and pasted replies that don't fit the question being asked. I tried the email route and their reply bot thinks a mac mini is a device like a Roku or Apple TV and is trying to tell me they don't support it.

Ironic that someone would go down with a knee injury on the cusp of their main event push on a show Sting first appears on WWE TV.

If it was a work, it was well done. Lil Naitch kept looking at him and you could see the doctor running to that side of the ring.

Yep, he's the pre order bonus like Warrior was last year.

Assuming he can stay on the wagon (I know, I know...), Ric would be a great 2014 version of Classy Freddie Blassie.

...or the program with Wyatt isn't over. Doesn't seem like its something anyone wants to see.

I kinda want Lana vs Zeb now too.

Oh man, Lana is so amazing in this segment. Biggest heat in a while and Swagger/Zeb didn't even have to say a thing.
  20. I dunno, I'm all for living the gimmick but I'd kind of feel like an asshole having to carry that around in public.

Ric was punching directly on Bray's eyebrow which is a time tested way to get accidentally-on-purpose hardway bleeding.
  22. I know MLB At Bat doesn't have any kind of contract subscription like the Network has, you pay a lump sum at the beginning of baseball season to get the whole year. In fact, they used to allow you to split the cost over the cost of up to 4 months of your cable service but they stopped that last year. So MLB AM would not have had any gating in place in terms of keeping people from canceling after X amount of time.
  23. Which is why there's a backlash brewing, there was an implication to the hardcores that there would be way more historical stuff available than there ended up being, so now the one segment of the audience they had locked in is now considering not renewing when their six months is up.
  24. Yeah, that's my point. They already had the hardcores, yet the advertising seemed to be aimed at them instead of the folks they need to target to make it work at the level they wanted.
  25. It's weird since it was almost like they were targeting the hardcores (who would likely already know how to stream things to their TV), but delivered the content casual fans would expect instead.
