    Memphis

I'm up to July in my 1991 viewing and its safe to say Eric Ermby is fucking gold, the slimey heel role is played brilliantly by him and Tom Pitchard is also very good as his long term Texas partner. I don't know if he's booking at this point I would hope not as weve just had The Master Baster come though and some other delightful characters. The Memphis Texas feud has been on fire in the first half of the year, the disappointment is you don't see much of the blow offs or top matches. It was nice to a see Steve Austin come though and he really stands out as a star in the few apparences he makes. RVD and Sabu have been a nice adidition to the roster for the summer months, but just as RVD is starts really getting over he seem to be gone. You can see where TNA got there Aces and Eights idea from the Bar Room Bawlers gimmick Doug Vines and Jeff Sword play after the lose a Loser Leaves Town match to Jarrett and Fuller, and the Bar Room Brawl they have looks great equipped with Bar and droids in the ring. Other highlights have been Jim Cornettes ad The Fabs run at the beginning of the year, but that ended to soon as I read in WON that they weren't drawing well against they wage, but Kiern does come back in the summer as a face....

    1990 hype!

I can't remember what's year it was, but if you do a Euro set, the Kendo Nagasaki unmasking is a complete must, one of my favourite bits of British wrestling. We have been spoilt here in the UK with having WOS returned for so long, imagine of in the if Crocketts TV was re-aired in the Mid Atlantic area for 3 hours a day. It's great getting home from work and finding another Royals brothers tag match on TV. For those that haven't seen it, here you go....

  7. Listened to all of them now lads, and enjoyed them, I especially like hearing people first hand accounts of shows from that era being a huge mark for 80s JCP. Although my favourite podcast is OSWP, this is certianly number two...

  9. What about Vince? Face to fall 1997 Heel to spring 1999 Face to Summer 1999 Heel to winter 1999 Face to mid 2000? Memory loses it then but there was the turn in early 2002 until the Hogan/Mr America or Taker fued in mid/late 2003? I know he's not a constant on screen talent but for at less 6 years he swapped about a lot...

  20. If this is still open, I've been watching some USWA from early 1991 I can give some brief write ups for stuff that were pretty well done from the begining of the year...

  22. I was thinking the same thing recently. I was watching some USWA from 1997, and its built so well, Match -> Angle -> Promo/Challenge -> Mid week match -> Follow up on TV -> Addition Angle and the cycle begins again until the blown of. Nothing is given away on TV or DVD, surely this day in age where everything is available, promotions should try and hide things so people go to there events? $15 dollars paid by 500 people has got to make more money than DVD's?
  23. My personal favourite tag match is Arn and Tully Vs Hart Foundation from Summerslam 1989. I know it ended in a 20 minute time limit draw, but its a fine match. Really quick paced action packed match. A few others I'd have to find dates for, one being Head Shrinkers Vs Stieners from 1993 which I'm sure was pretty hot. Edit: Just thought of another one was Steiners Vs The Heavenly Bodies from Summerslam 1993 is fantastic. Actually 1993 is a pretty good year for tag team wrestling...
