  1. Awesome, I learned something from you guys today about daylight savings time haha!
  2. LMAO thats great!
  3. T.B. had so many great matches & promo's, like Will said above he was just a genius w/ his psychology in the ring & out. Another guy like Flair who always made every match mean something, even the ones against the jobbers. I've been watching a dvd set I have of him & Gino Hernandez lately & they had some great matches back in SWCW both together & against each other, some of his best matches were with Arn in the NWA, there were so many that stick out to me I don't think I could just name one, T.B. had better matches against Magnum TA, Dusty Rhodes, & Ron Garvin than Ric Flair did. Great ring general & master psychologist!
  4. It's not, Raw has started at 8pm for a while now since it switched to 3 hours.
  5. Sadly Valentine was a guy I only remember growing up seeing on WWF t.v. & I never really cared much for what I saw of him there, except for the Santana feud & a few bulldog tag matches I saw, that was good stuff, since getting into tape trading I've been able to see some of his old Mid-Atlantic stuff which I loved, I've always thought Greg Valentine was one of those guy's that deserved a 3d set by Will for people to get there hands on. I've worked on several shows w/ him over the years, most recently a tag match in 2010 w/ Bob Orton & George South, a match in which he never officially got in the ring in because he was too drunk to wrestle, nonetheless he is still a Legend in the business IMO even tho I never cared much for him.
  6. I just wanna point out that I love Flair & Bret, I grew up watching Flair at the Dorton Arena every Tuesday night in the early & mid-eighties.... HOWEVER Flair is easily the better of the two WORKERS, case & point is as follows: Flair had great wrestling & entertaining matches w/ guys everywhere he ever went period, overseas, wccw, puerto rico, wwf, Japan, St.Louis, AWA, the list is endless, & while Bret has several, several very good or even in some eyes great matches in the wwf, he didn't have ANY great matches once he left the wwf & went to WCW (except for the tribute match w/ Benoit & a few Booker T matches). The rest of his WCW tenure was very ummm forgetful at best, Ive heard him blame his lack luster performances on WCW's booking time & time again, but being a professional wrestler for 13 years myself I can say w/o hesitation a GREAT worker can wrestle & have a good match with ANYONE at all times. Bret Hart IMO couldn't do that on a consistent basis & his WCW run proved it. I've seen Ric Flair wrestle jobber George South & make him look like Dusty Rhodes for 20 minutes before ''going home'' w/ the match when other were squashing him in 2 minutes on a weekly basis, he had great matches w/ all types of wrestlers all different sizes & skill levels, how many good matches did Bret get out of Lex Luger again? I'm not bashing Bret, he is one of my personal favorites off all time as well but he is not on Flairs level. Right now Flair has a 2:1 lead in the voting so thats good to see lol
  7. I worked Steve Corino back in the mid 1990's in Raleigh, NC when he was a mainstay in ECWA & MCW indies, I think it was 97 or 98 when he was living in Wilmington NC, It was me vs Steve vs Joey Matthews (Mercury) in a 3 way latter match, the match took place in a bar full of drunken NC State college kids, Corino wore UNC basketball jersey to the ring & was literally attacked by 3 or 4 guys, we had no real security in the building & it turned out to be a huge mess, the ceiling in the bar was very low, compared to a regular building so he gets the idea to jump up onto the light fixtures in the ceiling like spiderman to get away from all the drunk guys who were beating him senseless, upon doing this he blows up the transformer that the electricity was run off of in the bar LMAO, causing firework like sparks to shoot & scatter everywhere in the building, all of the electricity went out because of this & we were still wrestling in the pitch black dark when the fire trucks showed up, they shut down the show & cancelled our match, at this point Corino decided it would be a good idea to get heat by picking a fight w/ a fireman, what he got in return was a night in jail, a legit ban for life from the bar we wrestled in & a court date for assault, that guy was freaking hilarious, crazy, & insanely ring smart all at the same time, I Love Steve Corino & will consider him a friend for life. Great times we had on those indy shows back in the day.
