  1. For me it had to be Sabu. Seeing him in the mags with all the bloody pics with barbed wire and scarred skin instantly made me think he was something big and drew me to ECW
  2. Is todays show missing or am I the only one?
  3. Thats a very good point. He even had the wrestlers themselves getting the "sheets" to see how good or bad they were rated. That had to have some play in how things turned out as well.
  4. Haha I knew it wasn't I was just bs'ing. I never debate anyways I just chime in.
  5. Was that a shot at me Parv?
  6. Personally I think Meltzers ratings are good to use as a reference point if nothing else. There's plenty to agree/disagree about but that's natural with differing opinions. I don't think people should bash him for calling a match they don't like 4 stars or whatever. There's no universal equation that makes a match great or shitty. Myself for instance ten years ago would never think of guys like Lawler as a personal favorite of mine. I was into straight up technical style and spotty spectacle matches whereas now I love watching great brawls the most so Lawler is a top three guy for me easily now. My favorite match of all time is Bret/Austin from Mania 13 and if someone said that match sucked and had a reason why then I'd have no beef. Different strokes for different folks
  7. Parv doing the "yea yea yea" and "good gawd" in one show might make me piss myself. Please make me piss myself
  8. How are you guys finding the mini docs and the Lawler house stuff? I'm oblivious to this stuff. Is it something i have to search or is it just something you have to catch?
  9. It's definitely part of the big four. Some years its better than Summerslam.
  10. It's hard for me to put someone above Mysterio at the moment. I love Liger too but Mysterio was such a great babyface and was the catalyst in some ways for masked wrestlers of his generation in the US
  11. I agree that to me that stuff isn't pro wrestling. You can pay two meth heads 10 bucks each to do the same thing and you can't call it wrestling. I'd say half of those guys aren't trained and it being coreographed doesn't justify it.
  12. I'd have to go with Vader here. His burtality is so fun to watch, both giving and taking. His match with Shamrock at Cold Day in Hell is a great hidden gem to add to his case.
  13. Parv, were all of those matches in AJ or just the first two and the latter in Memphis? That Dory/Lawler brawl intrigues me
  14. I love the Briscoes and that match sounds awesome. I'm wishing I would've ordered it now. I have the dog collar I believe but ill check the rest out. The Briscoes match from last night sounds must have though.
  15. I have the first HIAC and the Benoit Jericho TLC already I was just iffy on the others. I don't necessarily feel brawl when I think of the first two TLCs but I can see it being on there too. Depends on feedback I guess. On a side note I think there's definitely going to be an extras disc or two of backstage brawls, beatdown angles and stuff like that
  16. Yea when I think death matches I think of two meth heads cutting the hell out of each other. There will still be bloody and almost gory stuff like the war of the wire and the Sabu Terry Funk stuff. At least there is some story telling in that. I'm sure there are some solid death matches but I agree that it is its own niche. One question I do have is, should I include stuff like the first two TLCs and the Taker Foley HIAC just so the historic stuff is covered or is that too spot heavy?
  17. Yea I think ill leave the death matches off when it comes to the true death match types.
  18. I may include a couple of death matches if they "fit", but i'm definitely not a guy who specializes or really even likes death matches so i'll have to take other people's opinions on them.
  19. A regular blade job wouldn't have been enough anyways so I think it was awesome and totally necessary. Avenging a murder means pints of blood
  20. I'm gonna have to put it on a video game or something at least. I'm hyped for a match that will probably never happen.
  21. That's great stuff. Storm is actually my favorite guy in TNA and possibly in all of TNAs existence. He seems like he would've fit in the USWA in the 90s. He's a great brawler too and I agree that he is one of the better bleeders out there. A racially fueled LA Park vs Storm feud ending in a hair vs mask match would be so damn good. Jarrett or someone needs to make that happen just for me thinking of it
  22. I'd have to get people's opinions but I might also add some brutal angles that are semi brawls. Like some Horsemen beatdowns or the Sullivan Kanemura stuff. It could just be considered in the extras. I have most of the footage on my lists so I might start looking for someone to help make them unless I can myself.
  23. Yea Im still scouring some indy stuff. I want to have the widest variety possible.
  24. To me Lance Storm is the worst person to listen to. He's on the Ross Report this week too. I hate the way he utters his sentences and talks down the new guys when he was definitely one of the worst mic guys of his era and his work looked so coreographed. I remember he discussed the Van Dam chair shots and played it off as him being safe.
  25. Holy fuck that was a bloody brawl. Park is one of my favorite brawlers
