Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
hammerva replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
We already had Lashley vs Jeff Cobb at Wrestlecon Super show last year and it was less than stellar. Once they announced that it was for the TNA world title most people knew that we were getting half assed Bobby. I don't see him as a guy who wants to prove himself as a wrestler like a Galloway or Swagger or Cody. He wants to make the most money -
How about a really good Starbucks gift card and then finish up on Smokey Mountain and Mid South first. But yes Georgia and maybe the old WWE developmentals like OVW and FCW are the ones I would love to see

Titus WorldWide beating Shemaus/Cesearo is major league head scratching. But I will allow if it means Dana Brooke in that low low low cut business suit awkwardly dancing like a walking FCC violation
-
it is on the Network right now. Starting around September 81 and ending October 22nd. So we are missing the real good buildup to Starcade. From the looks of it, the end part of 1983 is WorldWide. Granted the timeline of the studio show is always confusing to me

Yeah I think assuming that the Triple H and Taker matches were done to put over the Lesnar match this year is a bit of a stretch. Dave agrees that Naito should have won but if the idea is to create Okada like a legendary New Japan wrestler in the grounds of Muta or Inoki, then I guess winning makes sense. In the current WWE world a legend is considered by the number of times he held the belt not the reign. Okada winning the IWGP title 10 times probably would look bad in their eyes.

So far jericho vs Omega is booked exactly as it should be. A fight. Jericho can't hang with Omega in the ring and nobody really wants to see Omega drop down levels to get to 2017 Jericho. I can see Omega doing a hate filled brawl. he had no problems with weapons early in his "Cleaner" gimmick. Jericho has no problem bringing hate either. As long as it stays that way we are good. I can't see how Okada winning would be the right move. Naito is at the top of the mountain in terms of crowd support and skill. Waiting again another 6 months to year doesn't seem right Always looking forward to the Rumble match. Usually good for some surprises.

if you were talking about ECW I think you mean Paul Varlens not Mark Coleman. Unless that was the original plan and Coleman fell through. And Missy would be Triple H

Jesus are they really thinking about Asuka vs Ronda Rousey for WM or is that just Dave wishing really hard. I mean from a mainstream POV it is great but the idea that the first loss is going to be someone in their 1st match is just terrible. Nobody really thinks that Rousey is jobbing do they?
-
Well apparently someone told Dave about Youtube because all of his radio stuff was gone. That was inevitable
-
Definitely Jinder's best match in the WWE and not because Styles carried him either.
-
Seriously there is no way to tell who was the heel in that one. Shane screwed Zayn with a screw job 2 count and then Bryan screwed Orton with a past count. And like I said, I would hate for Bryan first match back be against someone who has no idea where his punches and kicks are going. Did you see AJ Styles face after WM last year
-
I was sure that Shane accidentally poked Bryan in the eye there but it wouldn't surprise me if that is part of the finish
-
This 2 refs in the ring at the same time is a horrible idea
-
I guess I can see Styles vs Jinder as the main event although now I am even more worried about a title change. Although it seems like this tag match is more main event than the title match
-
Haven't not watched Smackdown since they debuted, that ring gear and entrance music is just terrible. But they are really awesome at beating the crap out of people
-
Between 3 hours of dealing with Saxton and the Steelers game about an hour ago, Corey Graves might punch someone tonight Okay I am confused does this look like two separate matches going on at the same time?
-
I think it is impossible to freshen up Ziggler at this point. Damn good match though So wait both refs are going to be in the ring at the same time? So I guess now we can see a double pin?
-
I doubt that Trump has any specific part in this. But they will market this using his distractions about player protests and kneeling during the anthem as selling points. Which is rather ironic given one of selling points of the original XFL was that players had the freedom to be original. So instead of 'He Hate Me' on your jersey you might see 'MAGA'
-
I guess it depends on who you consider "the top" besides Vince himself.
-
Remember in the 1st week of the XFL where one player got a concussion and another separated his shoulder (I think) doing that 10 yard dash to the football gimmick. Yeah that isn't going to go over well. Also I would assume the role of Opie & Anthony being the pre and post game "experts" would be played by the douches at Barstool.
-
The only thing that works for him is that unlike the original XFL the NFL is in rough shape from a PR standpoint. All of the arguments that Vince was using to justify a new league wasn't really the majority opinion of the NFL. It could be now. Also while the WWE product during the original period was this sexual, violent, "crash TV" style that really didn't work in the rest of society. And as we have seen, the non WWE fans are much willing to accept trashy garbage in 2017 a lot easier than 2001. The backlash will also be much worse. Imagine in 2017 hiring strippers as cheerleaders and telling them that fraternizing with the players is recommended.
-
If does lead to him wrestling I really hope this isn't leading toward Bryan vs Shane at Wrestlemania. I would like his first match back not be against someone who has no clue where his punches and kicks are going. At least you knew with Shemaus that you were going to get hit hard and when. So apparently the WWE and the Facebook are going to work together and create a "Mixed Match Challenge" which is a tournament featuring mixed tag team tournament with winning getting $100,000 for the team charity of choose. Don't think they have announced any teams. Interesting concept
-
A little worried about where this is going with Daniel Bryan. We know Owens and Zayn are winning and I would be shocked if Bryan isn't the one making the 3 count. If so then you know they will go somewhere with Bryan and Shane.

Man I don't know what his previous relationships were but man it must have been rough because he has always had the "you know women can be crazy' attitude many many times And if all of these texts were edited to make him look bad, how come this VicVemonBytes douche on Twitter that seem to start most of the slut shaming hasn't been screaming about it. if anyone would want to get pissed about his character it would be him
