Press Conference 29th June 1986 - Portland Armory - Don Owen walks into shot and stands at the podium in front of a ring bearing the Portland Wrestling logo. Don Owen – Ladies and gentlemen of the gathered media I would first of all like to welcome you to the stunning Portland Armory for this very special press conference. I am here today as Owner of Don Owen Sports and as I can now officially announce the owner of Portland Wrestling. As you may have heard over the past couple of days I have acquired the talent from the now defunct Big Time Wrestling. However that is not to say they will all work for Portland Wrestling as i am accepting offers of trades should other promotions wish to partake. With all that said I have a few announcements to make. First of all I would like to announce that starting Saturday July 7th 1986 Portland Wrestling will return at 8pm local Portland time. Live from this beautiful Portland Armory. I would also like to officially announce that on Friday August 3rd 1986 Portland Wrestling will put on a huge SuperShow called Summer Gold. On that night we will crown the Pacific Northwest Tag Team Champions and the Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Champion via a 20 Man Gauntlet for the Gold. I would like to take this opportunity to issue an open challenge to any promotion out there to send their stars and see if they have what it takes to go toe to toe with the very best that Portland Wresting has to offer. Ive recently took an interest in New Japan Pro Wrestling and I thought a good place to start was with Wrestle Kingdom 4 from Jan 2010 however finding footage from NJPW following that event online is like pulling teeth can anyone please help me.-

I am thinking of doing a regular match review thread on here would like ideas for matches to review that people will read so please feel free to send me matches. The only requirement is that it must be on either youtube or dailymotion.

so many great things to look for ive seen bits of savage vs jake but need to find it all. the main thing I was looking for was non World title feuds/matches theres so many IC title feuds/matches that stand out its surprising. What stuff outside WWF/E ould u all recommend?

the jake/savage stuff is great but wot time frame is the windham/pillman feud from?

I've been thinking alot recently about the greatest feuds/Matches that are rarely looked at due to them not including a title or been a main event and wonder what everyone elses thoughts on this is?

I'll search around online and see what I can find for all these suggestions. I saw a fun short series between HBK and Jim Duggan from Raw mid-93. I really enjoyed the attempts by HBK to avoid it.

cool i'll have a look at it. IYH 2 match is a fun under rated match. I'd love to see hear peoples thoughts on pre 87 and post 01 matches aswell. Ive also watched the Rock vs Triple H ladder match from SummerSlam 98 today and I really liked it

I prefer the SummerSlam 95 Ladder Match to the Wrestlemania 10 match

I missed off the Maina 3 match cause its an sure fire pick for a great match. as for pre Mania 3 I havent seen all that much so im open to suggestions. I have seen the 3 disc IC set that WWE put out a few years since apart from that ive seen very little stuff.
