As someone who started watching 20 minutes ago, I am so much more pissed that the opening trios went at least 5 minutes longer than it needed to
-
That Hangman hot tag brought the match up several levels, and clearly the live crowd agreed
-
Starting my watch, all results have been spoiled but none really were in doubt anyway - Man I don't appreciate Hangman still having to carry Cole's ass though
-
In his post-match interview, he said people had awoken something in him and they might end up regretting it, so I expect him to turn up soon and maybe finally begin his heel turn

Control Your Narrative: when you totally get Fight Club

Why are "matches" and "professional wrestling" in quotes -
Also like, maybe he is just not there lol. If he has not been announced for a match, AEW can very well claim he just wasn't in the building

I have not watched yet, but Punk did not win with an assist from Wardlow, Wardlow simply refused to help MJF. Prior to that, he was giving Wardlow neck-breaking powerbombs to the point Punk wanted to rematch him and not MJF. It is absolutely fine for Punk to not get between these people's business, since they used Punk as a prop in theirs.

WCW's ticket prices were always quite cheap, certainly cheaper than WWF's. For the Dome show, it was also a matter of prestige since Turner executives were going to be attending, and obviously WWF and Austin had recently turned around the war after a long time of losing. I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of the tickets sold in the last few days were discounted. AEW would also have quite cheap tickets, which explains why there have been far more highly attended AEW shows that did not reach the $1 million mark. But recently, I think they have felt confident enough to increase their ticket prices, and attendance hasn't suffered so a good decision. Don't think it comes close to Raw and Smackdown ticket prices, but AEW's brand is nowhere near strong yet to command that.

AEW had its first $1 million gate in history. Not sure if WCW ever managed a $1 million gate, although you obviously have to take inflation into account.

He's also a reporter and journalist, it's his job to inform if he has a confirmed update. Waltman explicitly quoted him to say he was accurate, so he must have got something on the record from a near and dear one.

When I think about it, he was the coolest member of both nWo and Kliq. Just exuded charisma, it dripped from his bones. This will sound very naive, but I hope he is in a better, less painful place now.

RIP to the coolest member of the nWo

WWE TV 03/07 - 03/13 Why is OG Dragon Ball so much better than Dragon Ball Z?

All I really want is for Big E to be healthy. If no surgery necessary, I am literally dancing in joy and in relief. That fucker is a superstar -
I liked Nexus Punk v. Orton too. Another voice for Jericho-Rey and Eddie-Rey. Also Mysterio-Matt Hardy in 2003. Rey is one of the GOATs.

Caught up on your review now and it was worth the wait

Not a fan of Adam Cole continuing to be in the title picture though. I have been dying for them to do Page-Black forever and they just don't do it for whatever reason.

AEW apparently broke the wrestling gate record for the Forum for their L.A debut.

Also you can shit on Jericho and Hager all you want, he was the one who elevated Orange Cassidy, he has made Kingston look like a million bucks, and he is now sharing his spotlight with Garcia. That opening segment was absolutely fantastic and as far as why these people would suddenly align with Jericho - I dunno, maybe Jericho went to them and said hey guys, we've had issues, but my friends suck, fuck my teammates, they chose King over me, I will now screw them over. It's not some convoluted Russo-esque twist, it's clearly been building for weeks.

Managed to catch the Wednesday show and I thought it was a perfectly good post-PPV show that set up a bunch of stories while also having an all-time great promo segment.

This is God's work Charles, thanks so much

imo Punk was not rude enough to Paul Fontaine, who joins a long list of absolutely terrible F4WON contributors with zero actual value
-
what pushes it over the edge is honestly the Sting Darby trios match. This is legitimately, with zero exaggeration, the best run in Sting's entire career. Trumps the Surfer, trumps the Crow, and trumps whatever Joker shit he did in TNA. He and Darby should honestly be tag team champs at this point.

Overall, think this might be the best PPV in AEW history. This is not a compliment, cuz AEW are not a PPV company - they have often felt like an enthu indie TV promotion that did not exactly understand how to put on and structure PPVs. But they have been improving here, especially after Punk and Danielson came on the scene, and they did a fantastic job yesterday, even with some disappointments. Really, if Coach Tony K manages to get his women's booking in order, the momentum might become genuinely unstoppable.
