IIRC, Bret Hart hated working matches around legwork precisely cuz he thought they'd have to sell the leg, and thus the match would be a lot less exciting for the fans

Last week had a huge main event. Sometimes people take a week off, especially with a PPV nearby. This was an episode to set up angles more than anything, so I can see people tuning out after they saw the Bryan-Mox angle (which gained a massive amount of viewers btw, and while Bryan is Bryan, due respect must be given to Mox, who I feel is underrated around these parts). I wouldn't worry about it at all unless it becomes a multiple-week trend, there have been plenty of such one-offs/two-offs .

Curious as to why Brandi's role getting reduced was apparently the sticking point in the AEW negotiations but Cody seems fine going to WWE without her. Something doesn't fit here

@Loss can we separate the Cody stuff into its own thread? Coffey was right about it warranting its own discussion. Apparently TK didn't opt to use Cody's option too

Yup. He has a rambling style of talking that isn't suited for scripted promos but he is so compelling when he talks that he nails it in a way someone like Cody was completely failing to do recently. That was tremendous, tremendous stuff. THIS is good pro wrestling storytelling

I don't think I would like Mox half as much as I do as a wrestler if he wasn't such an awesome promo

Boomer Murrican fans, is this how it felt experiencing the MNW in real time, times 10? I was a kid in India then, all I knew was that Steve Austin was the man, so I don't have perspective. If so, it's really fun. Can't imagine why some tribalistic fans get so annoyed at the mere idea of a viable alternative/competition existing, it makes things ten times more enjoyable
