Officially signed for the Stampede Wrestling TV taping in Calgary on 7/15, it's a Battle of the Young Guns as two second generation athletes will go head-to-head in Curt Hennig and Matt Borne! Both men debuted in 1980 and have spent time together in other promotions, but this will be the first time they meet one-on-one in Stampede Wrestling and the winner will receive a shot at Bret Hart's North American Heavyweight Championship on 7/21 in Vancouver! The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose) have signed to compete against the team of Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid in a special series of matches on Stampede Wrestling television. At the taping on Friday, July 8, the teams will face off in two separate singles matches. Davey Boy Smith takes on Randy Rose, while Dynamite Kid faces Dennis Condrey. The following week, on Friday, July 15, they will finally meet in a 2-on-2 tag team match to determine who is the best young tag team in wrestling!

I'd really like to use the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. It is held by Tiger Mask, who is injured and set to retire. Does anyone object? The rumors are flying about Wrestling Sensation Hulk Hogan's upcoming appearance for Stampede Wrestling's August supercard on 8/25 in Vancouver. Those close to the Hart family are quite certain a challenge will be answered by...Abdullah the Butcher?!

Friday night, July 1, will see the debut of a brand new tag team in professional wrestling, as countrymen band together when Davey Boy Smith teams with Dynamite Kid! These two British bulls are likely to set Canada - and the entire wrestling world - on fire. In their first challenge, Davey and Dynamite will face a visiting team from Montreal, The CanAm Express, Phil Lafon and Jim Brunzell!

I don't see it as panicking to secure a talent who's name is synonymous with the promotion. Dynamite is worth more in Calgary and Hennig still has to prove his worth.

The Hart Family and NWA Stampede Wrestling are pleased to announce a new trade agreement with Championship Wrestling from Florida, which will bring The Dynamite Kid back to Calgary! The Dynamite Kid will continue to work a select number of dates in Florida, and CWF will obtain the services of the young prodigy, Curt Hennig! Hennig will continue to appear in Calgary for select appearances.

Stu agrees that Bret is not ready for a World title push at this stage, and appreciates everything Vince is doing to prepare him for the big stage. There are a few names being thrown around the Hart household as potential NWA Champion candidates, and Ric Flair's name is at the top of the list.

Stu Hart has placed a call to various members of the NWA Board of Directors, appealing for Harley Race to defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in Vancouver on Thursday August 25th. Also on the call, Stu mentioned the possibility of bringing the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship exclusively to Calgary. At the moment, Stampede Wrestling is not in possession of any NWA titles and the Junior Heavyweight Championship is currently vacant thanks to Dynamite Kid crippling the current champion, Tiger Mask, in Japan. New Japan Pro Wrestling is planning on running a tournament in early 1984 to crown a new champion, and Stu would like to have the tournament in Calgary instead.
