Another sad example of the toxic WWE culture: Sami Zayn on assimilating to WWE culture: I still didn't have that realization, that heartbreaking moment where you realize, 'Oh, you can't just be yourself' because you have to put on this facade and if anything, that's a testament to how amazing my life was. I only learned that lesson at 28! Most people learned that lesson when they're six! More here: https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2020/09/sami-zayn-recalls-wwe-star-talking-to-him-about-being-675344/

I'm confused...

Because he probably hadn't.

Then you think all white dudes with mustaches and beards look alike.

It happens, but when combined with WWE's real life issues, it's a bad idea and look all around. Part of the problem is that they keep people in NXT forever, so guys like Murphy are seen as "young." This angle would not be nearly as problematic in AEW, where they have actual young guys. Marko Stunt texting Aliyah? Fine, because there's only a small age gap there.

In this case, your accusation is accurate - I quoted you from Bubba's post. Your longer take makes a ton more sense and I mostly agree. So, to quote the great philosopher Ron Killings, my bad. With that said, cousins do physically fight and scrap a lot - it's not hard to imagine that being taken to the next level by an insecure man who feels the pressure mounting of having to be the "tribal chief" of the family and put food on everyone's table - especially during a pandemic and especially after recovering from leukemia. Plus, as I and others have been mentioned, the "tribal chief" designation is very real in Samoan culture - and it is obviously leading to The Rock coming back since he's legitimately the High Chief of the family now.

There is plenty to complain about in WWE, but people complaining about Roman vs. Jey/Usos, the Tribal Chief stuff, "bad acting," "soap opera shit," etc. are complaining just to complain and will never be happy IMO. In that case, stop watching the product (which is certainly a valid option no one would begrudge you for, because it's often bad) - because you've clearly been soured to the point where nothing is enjoyable anymore. This is the most baffling take: That dismisses a large chunk of wrestling history - Bret vs. Owen, etc. Come on!
-
Not sure how anyone is classifying Reigns vs. Jey/Usos as "soap opera shit." I think it's a fairy realistic storyline, told very well for a change, with a great backstory that makes their issues understandable and relatable. The Tribal Chief stuff is also legit and is actually going somewhere, since I'm pretty sure Rock is now considered the "High Chief" of the family IRL. Also, to whoever made the comparison, Sami Zayn looks nothing like Dustin Diamond.

Eating all that succotash for five years made this moment sweeter.
-
THAT WAS FANTASTIC!
-
Don't be too sure of that. All of the interference tonight probably sets up Hell in a Cell.
-
That Ambulance Match ended up being a lot of fun. The matches have been very smart and creative tonight.
-
If Drew loses after all this interference, he's a geek.
-
I went to get soup and missed that entire match.
-
Best ladder match in years?
-
I've never been happier to be wrong!!!
-
The commentary is so blatantly giving away that Jeff Hardy is winning.
-
He's had exactly one good match in WWE, and that was his NXT debut against Sami Zayn. He's been disappointing ever since. So, either Zayn is the best wrestler in the company - even better than AJ Styles (and I'd agree to that, but AJ is no slouch) - or Nak has been on cruise control the whole time.

I had that match on and didn't watch a single second of it. "Good rasslin'" means nothing to me in a vacuum when I'm given no reason to care, no one is over or means anything, and the result is a foregone conclusion anyway. Granted, the result is also a foregone conclusion with the Reigns-Jey Uso match, but the difference is, I've been given plenty of reasons to care - and I do. Nakamura is past his prime, but imagine wasting and marginalizing Cesaro for as long as WWE has
