Roman and Becky were front and center on all the SD on Fox ad material and the cover stars of the upcoming video game. Roman ain't going anywhere, and he's never going to be de-emphasized long-term for a geek like Seth, whose goodwill probably officially ran out last night (even though, to be fair, none of that was his fault).

I'm not subscribed to the Network or I would've gladly watched it. Asuka may not be my fave, but this is a match I would've looked forward to. The show actually looks strong on paper, but it's all about how it ends. If geek Rollins somehow neuters The Fiend, any other goodwill this show generated will be killed quicker than Rambling Rabbit. -

Asuka eventually getting a singles heel run where all of her matches are squashes that end in mist would get her over with me. -

Hey, @KawadaSmile, at least have the decency to @ me if you're going to make a snarky reference to me in a thread for a show I'm not watching. The Alexa-Nikki team died on the vine, because 1. The Women's Tag Team Titles are worthless pieces of shit no one in WWE cares about, and 2. They stopped bothering to write storylines for Alexa and Nikki, lazily supplanting that with a title reign. Asuka and Sane probably won't fare any better, TBH, and they'll end up losing to Sonya and Mandy at some b-level PPV, and not a single fuck will be given. -

I'd be okay with Big John Studd squashing the fuck out of Brock... ...with Mauro on commentary, of course. (Obviously, this could only take place in a video game or bizarro timeline.) -

A worse take than my joke post about Mauro commentating a Big John Studd DVD that has a snowball's chance in hell of actually getting produced. I do think Corbin has potential though, and could eventually become a late- bloomer Mark Henry-type good worker. Time will tell. People forget how "young" he still is, experience-wise. -

If WWE ever puts out a "Best of Big John Studd" DVD, wouldn't it be super if Mauro could do voiceover commentary for the matches? -

I feel like I'm missing some context here. At first I assumed he was responding to my Mauro posts, but maybe not? Big John Studd? -

My opinion: Mauro is the best commentator working today and this generation's J.R. or Gordon Solie (not in style, which is wildly different across all three of those examples, but in quality). I could scour Twitter, other boards, etc. looking for positive Mauro comments. But like you said, that would be a colossal waste of time. Agreed about popularity not being an indicator of quality, but it really feels like PWO and a couple of other remote corners of the wrestling web go out of their way to be contrarian at times. (Yes, I realize this is rich coming from the anti-Asuka guy.) I have no idea what MMA fans think of him, but isn't he employed by multiple other companies to commentate multiple other sports? Dude must doing something right. I do think Mauro would enhance this Brock-Fake Festus feud considerably because of his sports background - certainly more than Cole and Graves can. Then again, if it's just a thing for the next Bloody Money show, as rumored, it doesn't matter who's commentating it. If that is in fact the case, it makes Kofi's pointless squash loss even more infuriating. Speaking of Avatar, has a movie that popular ever been forgotten as quickly as that one has? It was basically erased from everyone's collective consciousness after about a year, despite breaking box office records and even being nominated for Best Picture. There are a boatload of sequels on the way, but zero buzz or anticipation. It's the weirdest thing. I thought the movie was...okay. Really cool experience in 3D (much like going to a live Raw even in this era is probably still fun for the experience) but pretty pedestrian otherwise. I will never not cringe at "unobtainium" somehow making it into the final script. -

Haha. It's also a play on Cain/Kane (Festus was the Fake Kane, as you know), so it works on multiple levels. -

Not to mention, we got the same blatant bait-and-switch false advertising bullshit with Seth vs. Rey on Raw (match never happened) and I'd argue with Brock vs. Kofi too (that was a fucking joke, and I don't care if Fake Festus debuted afterward because I've never given a single solitary flying fuck about MMA and never will). At least AEW delivers the shit it advertises, or announces changes ahead of time if there's an injury or some other situation. -

If Danny Cage’s wife believes it, that settles it! Seriously though, if you step out of the self-masturbatory (at times) PWO GWE bubble, you’ll find that there are a lot more Mamma Mia-niacs than not. His Twitter profile mentions that, so you’re right. -

This popped up randomly on my Twitter (no joke). I'm not following him and don't know who he is, but I guess because other people I follow are following him, it appeared on my timeline. Agreed 100%, of course. Eventually, FOX is going to want Mauro to give Smackdown even more of a sports feel. -

Would it have killed them to give Kofi a nice little 10-15 minute match? As cool as this Brock-Cain setup is, I honestly don't care about either of them and never will. -
