  1. For the record, I had Colon at #31 of my ballot.
  2. In 2006: 298. Carlos Colon – 16 points – 2 votes – VHB Floyd #89 Putting it into perspective that's a huge climb for Colon in ten years' time. That said I really wanted Colon to squeak into the top 100, and he almost made it. Once again, Boricua along with Kris Zellner and Dylan Hales did a great job of highlighting his case with their Puerto Rico podcasts and I really got to see what made Colon an all-time great based off some of their recommendations.
  3. DAMN. Colon was SO CLOSE. That's the biggest gut punch to me of this whole exercise as of right now.
  4. Incredible tease. Got to be Rock and Christian. Chris Hero has to be the one adding to his case, according to some. Dwayne has to be "one of the biggest stars in wrestling history" even though I couldn't stand him. Unsure about the other two, but I'll go out on a limb and say Kerry Von Erich and Christian are next.
  5. The sprint match with Bock, too, is pretty much the antithesis for the old idea of what Larry was. Is that the one Larry wins in like 3 minutes with a roll of quarters or the nunchucks?
  6. I'm shocked Larry Z did as well as he did, even though I had him on my ballot. One key piece for me voting for him was his feud with Nick Bockwinkel, in which he was able to outcheat Nick so much that Bock became a babyface.
  7. Nope. It's all about the game! It's all about control and if you can take it.
  8. With the first gif for 120, I almost bought it to be Sean Waltman.
  9. Hunter facing guys I am emotionally invested in makes their triumphs so much sweeter, and their losses that much more bitter. With Tanahashi, I don't give a shit about him or his opponents. However, Toru Yano dragged Tanashashi to a couple entertaining performances last year, which to me says more about Yano than it does Tanahashi.
  10. There goes Perro Sr. Fuck, the lucha guys are getting squashed like they were crusierweights in WCW.
  11. At this point, all I can hope for is for HHH to finish ahead of Okada and Cenahashi (aka Tanahashi), I don't give a damn where that is. And I fucking hated HHH post 2001.
  12. Scorpio made my list, Jae. Some of the guys Grimmas has been unveiling the past few days were guys on my short list that at the end of the day, I just could not find a spot for. Buzz Sawyer and Eddie Gilbert I felt really bad about leaving off my list but as I was working through and going higher and higher up, I couldn't justify putting those guys so high up. My lucha guys are dropping like flies. I hope it's not Buddy Rose, as I have a feeling the ballots he made it on (including my own) probably have him mostly in the Top 25.
  13. We might have loved him for an ability to be really, really irritating and draw heat while being showy, but there's not really any evidence of that in his work. You can't even see the hints (and sometimes, far more hints) that you do in a guy that's obviously past his prime like Mick McManus. Actually, here's a good question. Is there any wrestler that anyone put in their top 50 but that we have footage of as an older man that doesn't at least show more signs of greatness than what we can see from Stevens (including Flair, who despite my critiques, still DOES). The first names that comes to mind that meets your criteria is Nick Bockwinkel. At 50 plus he was having outstanding matches with Hennig.
  14. I'm a little disappointed ShittyLittleBoots didn't end up with Roddy Strong.
  15. Dustin Rhodes. Better than Stan Lane and Steve Keirn?
  16. Yea Scott Steiner is one of the few people whose case is helped by TNA work and he also had a really cool run in Ring Ka King as recent as 2012. One of the coolest things from his Ring Ka King run was when he went into the crowd and everyone ran away from him as if he were Godzilla getting ready to destroy Tokyo.
  17. Trios matches are much less confusing than WWE booking these days.
  18. Might as well run down the wrestlers from my Top 100 list that have already been revealed: 66. Stan Lane (260) 82. Matt Borne (263) 94. Jimmy Golden (401) 95. Meng/Haku (271) 97. Yokozuna (294) 98. New Jack (355) 99. Chicky Starr (553) NIce little variety. I'm a little surprised Stan finished as low as he did: I'm shocked but pleasantly surprised New Jack did as well as he did. I'm sad Sami Callihan finished as high as he did because he does nothing for me at all, but different strokes for different folks.
  19. Or in a weasel suit. May I suggest this weasel suit pic for Heenan?
  20. Grimmas, great pictures for the wrestlers' unveiling post. For Ray Rougeau, I can't tell if it's shock that's he low or that someone would have ranked him at all.
  21. Bienvenido to my new PWO avatar in all his smug, sleazy glory! Never in a million years did I think I'd be the high voter for Chicky Starr, but here we are, and I am going to OWN IT!
  22. What I'm taking away from that tweet is that Honky Tonk Man is a communist.
  23. Well, the Joey Ryan pics were quite sleazy. Kudos for that.
  24. Boricua, the Exile on Badstreet on Invader with you, Kris Zellner and Dylan Hales was what introduced me to Chicky Starr and his awesomeness. Thank you so much. I haven't seen as much Puerto Rico as I would like, but from what I've seen, he's the best heel in Puerto Rico history, which for a list like this, counts for something.
  25. I'm curious as to who the other fine voter was that had Chicky Starr on their ballot... I'm guessing Boricua or Dylan Hales. Edit: Was it you, Parties???
