National Wrestling Alliance Meeting 12/12
LowBlowPodcast replied to LowBlowPodcast's topic in The Archives
From the looks of it we are good to go. Promotions who wish to send a match... please send the match and your desired result to me via pm as I have started to put the show together and we will add it on. -
Ole was actually traded back... I will make the other updates asap.
-
I think I am updated to this point. Boon please double check this and the roster database to double check.
-
You drafted Rocky Dellaserra - which by my research is Gino/Gerry Dellaserra. Hence the reason for the mix-up. http://wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=6861 I guess I can hold off on ol Boris for a couple of weeks... send him with a bow and ribbon... red of course... since he's "Russian"
-
I dunno... you still own the rights to that individual right? For instance, Adrian Adonis is on loan to BTW... but he is still mine even though he's working there... so he still holds that spot. That would be my only argument on saying a spot is a spot regardless of if you are actively using them right now or if they are loaned out. On top of the idea that it would be difficult to try and organize the rosters in that sense.
-
It has... just have roster drops to add there as long as people post those on the database thread.
-
I have put all those individuals who were not drafted into Free Agency. I am going to continue to add to this list as long as people update the database thread and post who they are cutting from their rosters to move to free agency. With free agency... simply keep all picks 24 hours apart so we don't have mass changes... unless people would like that... let me know.

Thanks Gene... I am going to do some official stuff with that in just a moment... Everyone please check the roster database... http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32535-roster-database/ I have updated it as much as I can... simply copy and paste your roster... cut it down to size and reply to the message so I know who is an active wrestler and who is a manager and who you are cutting to free agency. Everyone who was drafted has now officially moved to his or her new roster... enjoy! Thanks everyone!

National Wrestling Alliance Meeting 12/12

1. Mid South - Associate Member 2. I do like the idea of Race as champion, but it was agreed upon for Flair to get the title even though the date came and went. I do think he is the more versatile of the two at this point and a good front runner. I will work with Gene on the booking if he needs help. 3. I like the 10 dates for the home promotion. The freelance booking works for me and especially the idea of a maximum of 7 dates in a territory a month. Now that could be one week which is how it worked out sometimes in the past. 4. I am 100% behind Starrcade and have agreed to do the majority of the legwork work with it. As long as we have Flair vs Race for the title as the main event, with the freelancers booked and Mid South and JCPs new rosters we are going to have a whale of a show. I would like to offer it out to the other full and associate members to send any kind of match and results you'd like to see from your regional promotion. We agreed to hold the event in Greesboro and with Flair vs Race as the main event we have roughly 9 or 10 more matches to be signed so let me know if you'd like to be showcased. This is all of course if the remaining members... Memphis and Florida and possibly Stampede (if he stays in the NWA) agree with the proposal... even with the majority vote going in favor... we'd like all opinions. -
Stampede and MACW, I have updated the front page with your roster numbers. Make sure you keep an eye on that and don't jump over the cap.
-
I would like to call to order a meeting of the National Wrestling Alliance. At this point, we have some full time members and associates. This thread has multiple different purposes... let's run down the agenda... 1. Role call... - Please state your promotion and if you would like to be a full time member or an associate member. 2. NWA World Title -It was agreed upon in the last NWA meeting that Ric Flair would become the next world champion, however, dude to unforeseen circumstances, the date in which Flair was supposed to win the title came and went. Are we still in agreement of Flair becoming the World Champion? Is there anyone else ho would be a contender to dethrone Harley Race at this time? 3. World Title Dates - Does the home promotion of the World Champion get 10 or 15 home dates a month? Do we want to do week spans in promotions or a day to day booking like the freelancers? 4. Starrcade - On December 25th, 1983, Jim Crockett Promotions and Mid South would like to joint promote a Starrcade event. The location of this event can be discussed, but would this be a good opportunity for the title switch agreed upon on agenda item number 2? Please post your answer to the preceding questions and any discussion here. Thank you to all those involved.

Everything is updated. MACW is up for two picks this round then Stampede for two picks this round and then two picks the next round. You guys should have around 10 roster spots left outside of managers, so five rounds left for all intensive purposes.
-
Pat Rose to Memphis. Now MACW gets two picks... then Stampede gets 4 then MACW gets 4 and so on until they drop out of the draft or get to 36
-
MACW is up then AWA then Stampede for 2
-
Everything is updated... as a quick thought... when I did the rounds, I forgot to take into account managers, I did the number as a whole. Memphis and AWA are more than welcome to continue past where I put the finishing round, I will update it as needed if you don't drop before that point.
-
Memphis is up then. I will update the front page in a bit.
-
Guys I apologize, I have to drive for the next five or so hours... I will update the front page as soon as possible. Great pace today, let's keep cruising!
-
I completely agree... I think the only ones on that list that we've put together are Hickerson, Hernandez, and you could make a case for Nikita as being guys who come in and instantly could do something if booked the right way.
-
It is updated.
-
I'd even agree not to use him until May. He is without a doubt one of my all time favorites and it is just a shame he died when he did. I can assure you that from MAy of 1984 to February of 1986, he is going to be one of the top stars in this world of wrestling.
-
AWA is so excited they just jump spots to get POLISH POWER!
-
Mid South is going to finish up the draft with Jose Lothario and officially drops the rest of the rounds. I am going to HIGHLY ENCOURAGE everyone to try and finish this by Sunday! That way we can start using these guys as soon as possible. A rule of thumb to follow, I currently have 28 of the 36 cap. Whomever doesn't get drafted from my roster will come back to me, and then I need to cut down to 36. For the NEW promotions, if there is someone you are hell bent on getting, draft them, but if you are just picking jobbers for jobbers sake, you can do that through free agency once the draft continues.
-
I like that idea Dex... almost align it with the roster cap bumps to give everyone at least 1 free rookie and if they want more they will have to drop. So like April 1st, we would have a draft in which everyone from January through April would be available and then another in July. Now with bias, I am going to not be overly big on this idea as there is no hiding the fact that I will draft Gino Hernandez and instead of being able to use him in May, I know have to wait three more months and he's already on borrowed time which kind of stinks. But if it is best for the group, let's do work.

Rick McGraw to mid south
