  1. Regardless, the argument for argument's sake is pointless and unneeded. We can call out people for notations on how someone perceived the typing of a series of events but the fact of the matter is that there is still life here regardless of all the negativity that has clouded this since day one. Do we need rules? Yes. Are we moving towards that? Yes. Everyone has chimed in to tell us how much this suck here... I am willing to step in and try and try to fix things here. If it doesn't work... then it will be finished. It is a lot easier to criticize something instead of digging in and trying to fix it. I will try and put the time and effort in to capitalize on the potential that this has.
  2. I had the territory wars for 7 years and I stopped in May for one reason or another... regardless that's a good run with anywhere from 1 to 10 people writing at a time. Lots if good and bad times but you find a way through. Here, we just have to gain control of the purpose and figure out what is best. We are doing that. Of those three discussions I postrd, the redraft and promotion ones are big and the roster cap / draft order are minor. With these in place though, we have a lot more to build from and more foundational pieces.
  3. But that's what the reality is. Those of us still in are going to go off of what we have as a foundation and build. Sit back and watch it unfold.
  4. That's what we're doing. All will get worked out if parties are interested just takes discussion.
  5. Like I said, I am not big on you dropping as we've done some good work so far and there's more to be done in the future. I do think the game youre looking for will be here soon enough and the door is definitely open in my book.
  6. All the discussion posts are in the game station - word to the wise, you can't use - in your message titles... hence the first post having a dumb title. Let's get talking on there and see what we can do guys.
  7. Discussion #3 – New month drafts One of the concerns I had with the new month drafts was the order and individuals coming in and picking up someone else’ spot they took over for. This is the absolute worst time for me to bring it up but just something to put out there for discussion. WCCW - ASW - ICW - Mid-South - WWC - Stampede - AWA - Southeastern - Southwest - International - Big Time - Memphis - MACW - WWA - Florida - That’s the current list. Could it be possible to bump all those inactive rosters out of the list, moving everyone up who is active. Then as individuals join, they go to the bottom of the round. For instance, it would look like this for January… Mid-South - AWA - Southeastern - Big Time - Memphis - WWA - Florida – NEXT NEW PROMOTION Then if I pick in January, I go to the bottom to the top of the next round, but if an individual joins before we draft, he or she would take the number 9 spot. So the question is in regards to changing the order by which we draft for the monthly fresh faces.
  8. Discussion #2 – Rosters etc. This second discussion is to look at rosters. I know we discussed the idea of keeping inactive promotions full with a roster, and while that has helped a couple of the promotions, we do have some new blood and could look at a different idea. For those individuals involved, could we look at some changed with out rosters… A possible re-draft with exceptions. If a promotion is interested in this process, they would have 10 people (managers and wrestlers) on a keep list. We could pop out to 15 if it is a issue. Promotions DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS. The rest of your roster would be added to the master list of every inactive rosters workers for a 10-15 round draft. We would keep the roster cap in affect. New promotions would start with the promotion of their choice and could we say 3-5 current members and then picking the rest from the draft and then free agency? The Roster cap The roster cap of 34 workers and 3 managers stays into affect. For those individuals that would like to expand, could we look at upping the worker cap by 1 every four months? The first bump wouldn’t happen until April 1st, then August 1st, then December 1st, to have 1984 end with us having a total roster cap of 37 workers and 3 managers? What do you guys think of the possibility of a re-draft for those interested and new promotions? What do we think of the roster cap moving every 4 months?
  9. Discussion # 1 – Inactive promotions - The first thing we need to look at is inactive promotions. Right now for active promotions we have AWA – Rain CWF – Superfan BigTime – Dexstar WWA – Jhawk Memphis – Kevin Southeastern – Boon Mid South – Low Blow We have a couple of bubble promotions World Class – Jesse WWC – El Boricua Mid Atlantic – Beast All Star – Wahoo’s leg We have promotions who have dropped Southwest Stampede ICW International Now those promotions have got rosters held for them right now. We have to make a call on the inactive and bubble promotions unless they speak up. I know Beast has had some reservations, but I am going to let him make his announcement if he goes that route (which I hope he doesn’t). Jesse, El, and Wahoo haven’t posted shows in quite some time, and while we have the frame of mind that they can “catch up” it is just not happening at this point. We have 4 people interested in coming in at this point and I am working with admin on getting them set up. Hopefully that process will be complete for each of those individuals to take over a promotion. The question at hand is what should we do with other bubble promotions. If someone hasn’t been active for an extended period of time (say 60 days as a frame of reference from Dex) is the promotion considered able to stay in? Now I know things happen and real life is tough, so could we look at 90 days of not posting a show? If an individual doesn’t post a show in 90 days, then the promotion is relinquished? What are our thoughts on that movement?
  10. As you guys can see, we've cleaned up the main pages. I have some discussion posts to look at, just putting the finishing touches on them. They will be in the game station.
  11. Thanks to Goc for erasing everyone's rosters in the thread he created... lots of class. Good thing I set up a data sheet with everything on it. Working right now on some clean up, updated coming soon.

  13. Waiting on some confirmation to try and get the new guys in and we should be able to fill some gaps throughout this weekend and get things going fellas.
  14. Looks like we have 2 guys in the hopper right now to join. Those of us still in, please let me know so we can figure out how to plan and move forward with some things due these developments.
  15. Sounds good. Looks like there's a couple of us with life left, we have a couple of ideas in the hopper. Thanks to all those who have contributed and laid a blue print for what we will be building from starting as soon as possible.
  16. It seems as though any kind of discussion on the topic has been tabled. Let's see how the coming weeks go and see what we need to do to keep this thing moving forward. With you and Stan out, other promotions not having posted in a while, we have to figure out a way to keep things consistent for the future of the project. I know I am locked in and will help in any way to keep this project from going down.
  17. Pretty good stuff moving forward here with Big Time. I like the methodical pace you have with your shows which sets them up for an easy read and follow. I am interested to see some of these records come together with some more matches under people's belts. Keep doing work man.
  18. I appreciate the feedback Kev. Seems we are in the dying days of some of the Territories so it is good to see we've got a couple more of us going strong. I will continue to put out the best product I can with Mid South and it is due to some of the key things you have discussed here. Putting forth effort in those angles is super important and making sure they are kept up and enjoyable is more important now than ever.
  19. Mid South Wrestling is coming to you from the Civic Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Fox and its affiliates Fox 8 out of New Orleans, KLRT 16 out of Little Rock, WXXV 25 out of Jackson, KOKH 25 out of Oklahoma City, and KRIV 26 out of Houston. {Mid South Wrestling opens with highlights of all the top stars of Mid South Wrestling. We then cut to the Jim Ross and Bill Watts standing by!} Jim Ross: WELCOME EVERYONE TO MID SOUTH WRESTLING! I am Jim Ross alongside Bill Watts! Fans we have got a huge night of action lined up for you this evening including a Mid South Television Championship contest as Don Muraco defends against Mr. Wrestling II! Bill Watts: Wrestling II is looking to gain some revenge on Muraco and a title that was for all intensive purposes taken from him. Jim Ross: Well tonight he’s got his chance at gold… but we have to ask, will Paul Jones play a factor? Bill Watts: Without a doubt he will, but a bigger question to ask is how Wrestling II’s allegiance to Wahoo McDaniel will play a part…. Jim Ross: Last week we saw Wrestling II and the Fantastics run down against the Untouchables but you gotta know that Dibiase, the One Man Gang, and the Blackjacks are here tonight and they will have some measure of revenge. Bill Watts: One can only wonder when the JYD will be back to help go against their cause… Jim Ross: Time will tell, right now though, we’ve got some big tag team action, it is the team of Misawa and Kawada taking on The German Destroyers…let’s go to the ring! Misawa and Kawada vs The German Destroyers -An interesting contest with four men that just don’t mix well. It goes around 8-minutes with the Germans trying to get some heat but the fans aren’t too big on Misawa and Kawada. They do have some flashy, hardy hitting moves though which excite the fans and get them going a little. In the end the Baron gets double clotheslined out of the ring to the floor and then we see Kawada go low and Misawa go high for the 1…2…..3! Misawa and Kawada look good as Bill and Jim put them over as possible contenders in the future. *COMMERCIAL* -Mid South Wrestling returns with Bill Watts and Jim Ross putting over next week’s episode and the big tag team battle royal. They talk about all the contenders stepping into the ring with the winners going on to face the Wild Samoans for the Tag Team Titles. They discuss some of the teams and say that the Blackjacks appear to be the favorites going in but talk about the Fantastics as possible up and comers. They discuss if their involvement last week could become an issue with the Untouchables as they are in action tonight! The Fantastics vs The Shadows -I don’t know if there is a hotter team in the Mid South area right now than Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers. The crowd is 100% behind them and they come out like a house of fire. The Shadows are decent enough heels who get some heat and fly around for the Fantastics who send them bumping from pillar to post. We see a nice Rocket Launcher for the 1…2….3!! Rogers and Fulton begin to work the crowd as they step out of the ring and wait just a moment… the One Man Gang is shown walking down the aisle! The Fantastics back up a little bit but then from behind him run Mulligan and Lanza! They pounce on the Fantastics, working them over something awful. The Gang joins in and it is a fiasco as Ted DIbiase walks out with the NA title and he is playing the crowd. Ross and Watts are irate as the Blackjacks and the Gang leave the Fantastics lay. Is this is a sign of fortune to come? Dibiase screams that this is what happens to all who oppose the Untouchables. *COMMERCIAL* -Mid South Wrestling returns with Watts and Ross putting over the big double night event in Houston on December 16th and 17th. They put over guys like ThunderBolt Patterson and the Masked Superstar who have had issues over the past couple of weeks. Masked Superstar comes out here and he puts himself over in a big way and discusses how he is going to take ThunderBolt Patterson out of wrestling for good. He says that he never beat him, Harley Race never beat him, and that he is the RIGHTFUL World Heavyweight Champion. Watts and Ross don’t agree but give him his due… ThunderBolt Patterson vs Mad Dog Boyd -A nice contest for ThunderBolt who continually looks good on television here in Mid South. Bill and Jim put him over as a top contender but Superstar says there is no way that he will survive his beating. He opens up a challenge for him in Houston. Watts and Ross say he will no doubt accept and look forward to the match. Here tonight, ThunderBolt nails a huge SPINEBUSTER for the 1…2…3!! ThunderBolt looks out to Superstar and tells him to bring it. Masked Superstar acknowledges him but walks off. This fight is going to happen on another day! *COMMERCIAL* -Mid South Wrestlign returns for our big main event tonight. They put over the big tag team battle royal next week and wonder what will happen on December 16th an 17th in Houston. They put over the words of Superstar Billy Graham last week and wonder who he was talking about. Jim Ross says he has contacted him to be here next week so we will see how that unfolds. They then begin discussing the big television championship match. They play all the angles around the match and wonder just what will happen as we go to the ring for this contest. MID SOUTH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Wrestling II vs Don Muraco © w/ Paul Jones -This is what a main event is all about. Wrestling II has got the crowd behind him all the way and Muraco has got some real heat coming into this one as Paul Jones is getting pelted with debris. The crowd is going nuts for Wrestling II as he starts off white hot with some big time offense. He is hammering away at Muraco who is trying to fight everything off but coming out on the short end of the stick. Paul Jones gets his man outside the ring and tries to calm him down but Wrestling II brings the fight out to him. We get a pretty nasty spot when Muraco side steps and pushes Wrestling II into the guardrail. Watts says the referee is going to call for the bell and a DQ but he changes his mind. He is going to let this match go on! The fans pop as we get a couple more minutes of action with Muraco working some heat and wearing down the neck and the back but Wrestling II bounces back. He is coming with some big rights and lefts and then a huge running high knee that sends Muraco out of the ring to the floor! Muraco and Jones speak and then they start to walk off as the referee gets to 10! He is about to call for the bell but Bill Watts walks over and holds the bell and says no. Muraco has nowhere to rung with this one as he has almost been DQ and Counted Out but the referee is letting this one go! Muraco is being backed into the ring by officials and agents. Here we go with the final act and this one is a hard fought moments. Muraco is looking to finish and he is going for the PILEDRIVER but Wrestling II flips him over his back. Wrestling II hits the ropes but Jones grabs his foot! He turns around to look at him but it is Muraco who hits him with a high knee to the back! Wrestling II goes down and then PAUL JONES NAILS HIM WITH THE TV TITLE! He is out! Muraco rolls up Wrestling II with a hand full of tights for the 1…2….3!! The crowd is irate! Muraco holds on to the belt amidst a ton of controversy. -Watt and Ross put this over and Watts says he is going to do whatever it takes for Wrestling II to get his just due. Watts then announces that along with the big tag team battle royal next week, we will see the North American Title on the line when Wahoo McDaniel takes on Ted Dibiase! The crowd is excited to hear that as Watts and Ross wish everything a Happy Thanksgiving and say that next week they will have some of the first details of the big two night extravaganza in Houston next month!
  20. Drama and discussion can be two different things all dependent upon who is involved and his or her point of view. From the origination of this discussion, Dawho, sorry to see you drop. You've been good to work with. If we are going to keep on the same track, let's keep doin work.
  21. That's fine, I don't want to go national. I have never said that I wanted to, despite you and others saying it for me. I like Mid South and it has become a great project for me to do and I think I do a pretty good job of it. I am fine with its size and natural growth. My only main concern is talent that is just sitting out there that could be utilized in many different promotions. I guess that's an invalid concern.
  22. I am fine with that, I do think in 1984, for those of us continuing, perhaps we look at some things again. Sorry.
  23. Okay. Then we don't have it. We sit with the same rules, never changing? Those who post, post. Those who don't, don't. If that's what will "keep" interested and help people post, then do work. I can't see how it is out of line to ask if there is a discussion and you constantly take it as argumentative like you've done since day one. I apologize for wanting to see this go past 6 months and be productive. Good luck.
  24. So you won't even discuss the idea of looking at 1984 and discussing if things need to change at all? It doesn't mean they have to, it is simply a discussion. The entire wrestling world started to change in 1984, why would it be impossible to discuss future ideas of the project?
  25. You can be snarky about it all you want but what is the point of the last big rule drama go around and a poll on it if we just go over the same shit again in a month? It was forseen by many when it did go down befre, that this would come up again. I am not making a big push for a humongous draft, I have followed by the "rule" to limit how big we can get. my only comment is to look at 1984 and see if those of us who are willing to continue to build this project are willing to let it evolve. "Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." If this is going to be a simple small territory 1983 project then it should finish on December 31st and go out high. If it is going to evolve to 1984, when things in the real world of wrestling changed, then it is close minded for us to stay in our roots and not try to evolve.
