  1. Thanks Elliot. I have to write scripts and stuff
  2. Thanks Steven I also created a little thing with the series I'm doing on my YouTube Channel
  3. @Grimmas is there a good starting point for classic Joshi?
  4. Just got the new laptop and invested in a year of Premiere Pro and Audition so I'm down for making content. I also figured out how to randomize in google docs if anyone wants that info
  5. I've gotta say this discussion has really been inspiring me to get back to work. I've got a big tax return so I'm getting a big tax return so I'm getting a laptop and gonna feel inspired to do some GWE video content when the launch happens
  6. Yeah I'm not trying to spend time on stuff I hate or anything. If I hate something or dislike it then I don't watch that particular match again. I don't hold one match against a wrestler. One guy doing Generator that I went through a roller coaster with is Baba for instance. I enjoyed some of his matches against more dynamic opponents like Destroyer or Fritz and disliked some others but never gave up on him. I think Baba is a unique wrestler. Will he make my 100? Possibly but I have to do more evaluation. I'm excited to watch the french stuff like legit looking forward to seeking that out.
  7. Danny and Matt review the Following Matches: Terry Funk vs Atsushi Onita (Exploding Barbed Wire - FMW - 5/5/1993) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPbn8Hsrv1g&t=1292s Giant Baba vs Fritz Von Erich (JWA - 12/3/1966) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzADuUaxIjw Sandman vs. Sabu (ECW - 1/10/1998) https://vimeo.com/17627530 Aja Kong vs Yumika Hotta (WWWA World Championship - AJW - 1/24/1994) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HD_29guJcWU https://app.redcircle.com/shows/0ddb4659-ba78-4bf0-846a-4cb2ebd9d0a5/ep/e373b6dd-7c36-4519-858e-71f36534bc32
  8. Yeah, I really like this. I wasn't going to comment but I really like the approach here. I was just putting pressure on myself and taking this way too seriously to begin with. I think it ultimately should be fun and not a chore. I think everyone's list is uniquely theirs. I for instance connect to the the modern New Japan style more than some because that's the stuff that helped me stay a fan of wrestling. So I may have Kazuchika Okada on my #1 contender short list. I like other styles of wrestling and appreciate it but some are going to get more of a favorable look than others because I just like it more and that's ok. But through my podcast, Great Match Generator I can appreciate say a Giant Baba vs Fritz Von Erich match from 1966 (which is an actual JWA match I watch and it ruled) and take a look at Baba deeper or Fritz deeper. IT's all about taste and preference. I also think I should take breaks because I feel that would be good for my mental health because of my shift in focus to classic wrestling. Anyways here's this Giant Baba vs Fritz match https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzADuUaxIjw
  9. I'm sorry I have anxiety about this and didn't know how to express it. I apologize
  10. I very much appreciate Tanner's perspective on this. I view it a little differently because I'm more active on say Twitter and Discord than PWO but I'm laying the ground work now by re-evaluating my list and seeing where they're trending with everyone in 2016 and with my own head. I'm just excited that I'm actually having the chance to take this a little more seriously than I did in 2016
  11. Alright I will, I'm open to anything. I've gotta see the MSG stuff for myself. I think it maybe my age. I was 19 when I made this list and 24 now so I'm going to be as open as possible
  12. Thank you, I really appreciate it. That's what I'm trying to do here and it's cool that it's garnering some respect. I'm challenging myself to view things in a different way or with a different lens.
  13. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zaTACdQexzfteLJ1KILAfDy57DuSoEhGuTOUXwUOvaw/edit?usp=sharing I decided to do a document on my list just to write a paragraph on why I voted on each individual in 2016 and where I evaluate them. Take a look when you get a chance
  14. Discord does archive everything and makes everything searchable but it would make it a lot harder than say a forum to have individual threads for each nominated wrestler
  15. I'm willing to do the work, it's just overwhelming to go to 10,000 places to just discuss and watch these matches. I wanted to be a more active participator in this project. I'm actively watching footage and talking about the footage I watched.
  16. I know the disconnects within the discussion could be frustrating but I was intrigued in voting who I thought were great. I want as many people in the discussion as possible too and it's hard when someone especially at the age I was at the time 19-20, being as curious as I was told that your point is wrong or your opinion is wrong. I just want this to be fun. People take this GWE shit waaaaaaayyyyyyy too seriously because we're in the grand scheme of it just the smallest of subset of fans who are willing to evaluate this. For us to be arguing and having personal beefs is insane
  17. https://redcircle.com/shows/0ddb4659-ba78-4bf0-846a-4cb2ebd9d0a5/episodes/d3d497d0-0171-4bdd-b941-8a4e98f29b3b Danny, Greg, and Matt review Terry Funk vs Barry Windham (WWC - 9/19/1986) Genichiro Tenryu & Masao Orihara vs. Great Kabuki & Koki Kitahara (WAR - 7/14/1992) FTR vs Adam Page and Kenny Omega (AEW - 9/5/2020) El Satanico vs Super Astro (EMLL - 10/26/1984)
  18. And I think discord's a good place because people are on there for other things too and can easily check when discussions go back far enough. I use discord for my music discussions and for wrestling discussion and I prefer it to the forum because I'm on discord a lot more than I'm on this forum. It's nothing personal it's just I use discord in a more social way
  19. I was one of the random people that actually voted in the project without knowing the whole scope of the project back in 2016 because I became intrigued by the project in its last stages because I didn't find PWO til say 2015. And then realized oh shit I shouldn't have voted in this too many people put too much investment into this where my vote was throwing off actual tallys. But but my concern is if someone wants to get into a project that is a fan that is intrigued by this like I was are we just going to cock block them. Because people get older people become smarter and people watch more footage and stuff like that and people have the tendency to discover more maybe there's a new fan who wants to come on here and discuss. I'm trying to advocate for that fan because I was that fan back in 2016
  20. Plus we're thinking 5 years down the line and who knows what forum culture will look like in 5 years
  21. I don't think that would be a problem with this base because we have years of knowledge and we would put a stop to that. I think it would be a lot easier to communicate and do live watches and things like that.
  22. A discord server because I think that's the new way of communicating and I would be more inclined to be involved if we embrace the new way of communicating. I don't think it could be the primary but maybe as a secondary thing
