Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XX – 14th of April 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Medusa Miceli versus Babyface Nellie This week, the programme opens with an extended clip from the aftermath of Lisa Moretti’s attack on Selina Majors. The babyface is bleeding profusely and being tended to by a doctor as her stablemates fuss over her. The commentators explain that Lisa Moretti has been banned from the building tonight and will miss her automatic rematch opportunity. The opening television title match, then, puts the new champion Desiree Petersen up against Candi Devine. The two women have a straightforward match, with Candi Devine’s heel tactics making up for Desiree Petersen’s talent advantage. In the end, it is a short and sweet match cementing the newly crowned champion’s position. Desiree Petersen defeats Candi Devine in 11:04 by submission with a Boston crab to retain the WWW Television Championship After a brief interlude promoting the main event as a number one contenders’ match for Debbie Combs’ dual championship, we get to the interviews. Candi Devine offers endless excuses for her loss, whereas Desiree Petersen – who is joined by the rest of her stable – compliments her opponent and promises to put on a great performance every week going forward. When asked about Lisa Moretti, Selina Majors pipes up, much to the shock of her allies, and accepts the challenge to face her in a cage. Her friends try to change her mind but she’s adamant that she be allowed to prove herself. With that, we get to a commercial break and return to a staple of the promotion – the Nasty Girls versus the Star Girls. With neither team as champions, they are replicating their very first showdown and the match plays out as an opportunity for both teams to prove how far they’ve come. To that end, the contest is fast-paced and fluid. All four women know each other inside and out and, as the match progresses, it becomes increasingly obvious that the finish is as likely to be decided by chance as any other factor. In the end, it’s a kick out just after the three that brings the affair to a conclusion. Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux defeat Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West in 14:29 when Linda Dallas pins Rockin’ Robin with her feet on the ropes After a promotional interlude we get to the interviews. The Star Girls are gutted and seemingly on the verge of tears throughout as they try to psyche themselves up for their next opportunity. By contrast, the Nasty Girls are over-the-moon and can barely contain their glee as they make promises to each that they’ll have titles around their waists once again. The second commercial break then takes us to the main event. Medusa Miceli has her allies at ringside but Velvet McIntyre, Misty Blue Simmes and Debbie Combs come down to support Babyface Nellie and cancel out that advantage for the heel. With the occasional bit of fighting by the third parties at ringside but barely any interference, the two women pull out all the stops to secure victory and a shot at Debbie Combs next week. Babyface Nellie puts in a fine performance but, in the end, it’s just not enough to deal with the utterly ruthless Medusa Miceli. Medusa Miceli defeats Babyface Nellie in 13:57 by pinfall after a German suplex With time left for interviews, we see Babyface Nellie promise to train harder than ever to make it in the company and Medusa Miceli issue the chilling warning that she still has one more monster to unleash.

Three great shows! Steel against Steel would make for a great rivalry. Seeing Buddy Rose get one over on Barry Windham was upsetting but hopefully the Brigade will be able to thrash the Crazy Gang somehow! Though, how they'll counter Stan Hansen, I still have no idea!
-
Curt Hennig continuing to thrash Greg Gagne is good to see!
-
Ricky Steamboat has to take the title, he just has to! That'll be such a great main event. This show's done a great hype job for the card, including the tease of Manny Fernandez's mystery partner! It's also always great to see Rocky Johnson doing well.
-
I love the coward routine from Tracy Smothers. Hopefully, Keiichi Yamada will eventually get to face in a fair fight. The Snowbirds versus the Hart Foundation could be a staple, I can't imagine I'd ever get bored of seeing something like that.
-
Good to see wins for Dan Severn and the Brigade. Stan Hansen is absolutely unstoppable!

Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XIX – 7th of April 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Medusa Miceli versus Debbie Combs for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship We kick thigs off with a hot opening, at bell time for the television title match. Lisa Moretti is defending against the final member the newly dubbed Giant Slayers – Desiree Petersen. With her allies at ringside, the challenger is brimming with confidence and immediately goes on the offence. The champion struggles, initially, and becomes increasingly frustrated as the match progresses. The two women pace themselves and focus on grappling towards the end, with each woman going for flash pinfall rather than a big manoeuvre. The finish is contentious as Selina Majors, upset at the treatment her leader is suffering from the increasingly nasty champ, pulls at the hair of Lisa Moretti. A brief distraction is all Desiree Petersen needs. Desiree Petersen defeats Lisa Moretti in 14:59 by pinfall with schoolboy roll-up to win the WWW Television Championship After a very brief interlude we go to the interviews. Lisa Moretti rants and raves about the interference in her match and demands the opportunity to face Selina Majors in a steel cage. The interviewer tries to object but gets shut down by an evil glare. The interview with a bubbly Desiree Petersen and her allies doesn’t even get started, however, as Lisa Moretti dives onto Selina Majors from off-camera and tries to beat her bloody before being pulled away by the faces and a handful of staff members. After a commercial break, we go to the second of three title matches. Velvet McIntyre and the Star Girls look to defend their titles from Peggy Lee Leather, Brittany Brown and Ashly Kennedy. The commentators mention that Medusa Miceli’s stablemates have been banned from the building to prevent interference in this match and in the main event. Without any outside factors to consider, the faces dominate the match, especially Velvet McIntyre who essentially uses the match as a showcase for her move set. Velvet McIntyre & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Peggy Lee Leather & Brittany Brown & Ashly Kennedy in 12:37 when Velvet McIntyre pins Ashly Kennedy after a swinging hurricanrana to retain the WWW Trios Championship After another interlude, heavily promoting Wendi Richter, we go to the interviews. The heels argue among themselves and generally act bitter and resentful, whereas the faces congratulate each other and declare themselves ready to take on all comers. The second commercial break takes us to the main event and its hellish from bell to bell. Debbie Combs wrestles fair and clean but refuses to let up and Medusa Miceli uses every opportunity she has to indulge in cheating and torturing. In the end, when both women are thoroughly exhausted, Debbie Combs has just that little bit more in the tank. Debbie Combs defeats Medusa Miceli in 17:21 by pinfall after a neckbreaker to win the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship The programme goes off air to scenes of celebration with a newly cemented fan favourite Debbie Combs.

I love this UK feud you've got rumbling! It's great to see Vic Steamboat getting an win, even if only by the skin of his teeth.
-
Carlos Colon and Abdullah the Butcher producing a blood bath, great stuff! Terry Funk is too wily by half! Just who is going to be able to knock the champion off his perch?!
-
The AWA is back with a bang! It's great to see Curt Hennig progressing quickly and Ricky Steamboat ending the show with a battle royal win is such a crowd-pleaser! I'm down for seeing him take Terry Funk to the limit and maybe, just maybe, taking home the title!

Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XVIII – 31st of March 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre & Misty Blue Simmes & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West versus Medusa Miceli & Luna Vachon & Rhonda Singh & ??? The programme kicks off with a recap of the events from the supercard before building up to the opening match with a clip package detailing the recent successes of Lisa Moretti. The television champion is set to fend off a challenge from Winona Little Heart. Within minutes, the challenger proves that she’s going to be hard to put down as she puts the champion on the defence with her unexpected ferocity. Lisa Moretti is savvy enough to avoid taking catastrophic damage or being pinned but it’s not until she can escape to the ringside to catch her breath that the momentum begins to turn. An overeager Winona Little Heart chases the champion down and gets slammed down on the hard ground for her trouble. Thereafter, the match proceeds in the champ’s favour and she relishes her new-found advantage, torturing her opponent every step of the way. The face’s stablemates are the very picture of outrage but they’re unwilling to interfere. Gloating to the crowd, Lisa Moretti almost manages to cock the whole thing up when a roll-up nets Winona Little Heart a two-count and she decides to end things. Lisa Moretti defeats Winona Little Heart in 14:37 by pinfall after a powerslam to retain the WWW Television Championship After a brief interlude we get to the interviews. Winona Little Heart is frustrated at her loss, but her friends claim that she succeeded in showing her opponent up, nevertheless. Lisa Moretti, by contrast, seethes with rage as she once again accuses the other women of interfering and rants about the company’s management refusing to listen to her. A commercial break then takes us to some tag team action, as the Nasty Girls take on Penny Mitchell and Candice Pardue. Both teams fight like they’ve got something to prove, and, at times, things even turn downright ugly. To make up for the slight weakness of her teammate, Penny Mitchell is more than willing to bend the rules and neither Linda Dallas nor Kat LeRoux have any problem stooping to the lowest level. In the end, a match that could easily have gone either way ends with the Nasty Girls on top. Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux defeat Penny Mitchell & Candice Pardue in 12:41 when Linda Dallas submitted Candice Pardue with a single leg crab After an interlude replete with sponsors we head to the interviews. Penny Mitchell is icy and reticent to talk but Candice Pardue tries to play down the loss. Meanwhile, the Nasty Girls gush and gloat and scream that they’re ready to take on all comers. A second commercial break then takes us to the main event. The faces are already in the ring, waiting in anticipation of their opponents’ fourth member. The reveal comes and it’s Reggie Bennett – face now painted with a demonic design. The eight-woman tag team match then proceeds, with interference and cheating galore on the heel side, trips to the ringside and brawling through the crowd and a referee barely able to tell who’s legal and who isn’t. A very close pin attempt by Velvet McIntyre on Luna Vachon signals the end of even the barest pretence of civility and the whole affair deteriorates into a mass brawl. Eventually, during a particular nasty scene of Medusa Miceli using the ring ropes to choke Misty Blue Simmes, the bell rings and staff descend on the ring in a swarm. Velvet McIntyre & Misty Blue Simmes & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Medusa Miceli & Luna Vachon & Rhonda Singh & Reggie Bennett in 16:12 by disqualification The programme ends on these chaotic scenes.
-
Keiichi Yamada has shown Tracy Smothers up, hopefully he'll soon manage to capture the belt. No appears to have any answer for Stan Hansen and it's hard to imagine they'll think of one any time soon. His impact on the promotion is cool and believable.
-
What a reveal! Stan Hansen is such an impressive get for Percy Pringle. The Brigade is going to seriously need to get its act together if they have any hope of avenging this loss or competing with the Crazy Gang.

Wonder Women Wrestling MARCH SUPERCARD 1986 Live from: Las Vegas, Nevada This month’s show opens with a clip package recapping the important events of the past few weeks. Particular emphasis is given to the unlikely alliance of Velvet McIntyre and Debbie Combs and their feud with Medusa Miceli’s gang of monsters. The first match of the night will determine which three-woman team will challenge for the trios’ title on the seventh of April. Peggy Lee Leather, Ashly Kennedy and Brittany Brown are taking on Desiree Petersen, Susan Starr and Selina Majors. Winona Little Heart is in her stablemates’ corner for moral support, but she is unable to do much to thwart the endless cheating of their opponents. Worst of all for the faces, is that about halfway through the match Lisa Moretti comes down to ringside to support the other heels and she has no issue with cheating and interfering wherever and whenever she can get away with it. Peggy Lee Leather & Ashly Kennedy & Brittany Brown defeat Desiree Petersen & Susan Starr & Selina Majors in 12:32 when Peggy Lee Leather pins Selina Majors after a chokeslam After a promotional package, replete with sponsored content, merchandise adverts and glamorous pictures of the wrestlers, we head to the first set of interviews. The faces bad-mouth Lisa Moretti and blame her for their loss, but they also make sure to encourage Winona Little Heart ahead of her match later. The heels are beside themselves with glee, promising to snatch the titles from Velvet McIntyre and the Star Girls. Next up, we get the tag team championship match, with a newly invigorated team of Leilani Kai and Judy Martin challenging the irrepressible Star Girls – Rockin’ Robin and Jamie West. The match is well-paced, traditional and entertaining. The challengers have an advantage in smarts, but the champions have more energy. Liz Chase and Despina Montagas are at ringside and step in at crucial moments to screw the faces over in small ways. As the match drags on, Judy Martin shows signs of fading, but her ringside allies distract the champions just long enough for her to get the day and, in the final stretches, Leilani Kai batters Jamie West violently to the hopeless dismay of her partner. Leilani Kai & Judy Martin defeat Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West in 15:40 when Leilani Kai pins Jamie West after a big boot to win the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship After an interlude, we get to the interviews. The former champions say that they deserve a rematch with Liz Chase and Despina Montagas barred from ringside. When this news is passed onto the winners, they feign offence and claim the Star Girls are sore losers who need to earn a rematch. The next match sees Winona Little Heart going up against Reggie Bennett. Winona Little Heart has her allies in her corner for much needed moral support and she heads straight into a giant-killing routine from bell time. Reggie Bennett’s knees and calves are targeted relentlessly and no matter how many savage strikes or big moves she gets in, her opponent keeps getting back up. It takes some doing and earns her more than a few close calls but, in the end, Winona Little Heart is able to seal the deal with a move from the top rope. Winona Little Heart defeats Reggie Bennett in 13:01 by pinfall after a missile dropkick After another brief interlude, we get to the interviews. Reggie Bennett launches into a barely coherent rant and throws a chair against a wall. Winona Little Heart, buoyed by her stablemates, relishes her victory and says she’ll take that momentum and beat Lisa Moretti on the thirty first to teach her a lesson. The next match is for Misty Blue Simmes’ dual championship and she is taking on the ever-dangerous Medusa Miceli. From bell to bell, the match is hard-hitting, fast-paced and violent. Medusa Miceli doesn’t have any help at ringside – as her stablemates have a tough match ahead – but that doesn’t mean that the encounter is clean or fair. The challenger using every trick in the book to give herself an edge. She only ever breaks on four, she goes for eye pokes and hair pulls whenever she can and Misty Blue Simmes is soon worn down and frustrated. Giving almost as good as she gets, the champion makes it abundantly clear that cheating tactics will earn a receipt and soon becomes disinterested in playing fair herself. By the end, however, Medusa Miceli’s early edge proves to be the difference making as Misty Blue Simmes tires and the challenger capitalises. Medusa Miceli defeats Misty Blue Simmes in 17:58 by pinfall after a German suplex to win the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship After a hype package for the main event – Wendi Richter versus Babyface Nellie – we move onto the interviews. Misty Blue Simmes promises that Medusa Miceli won’t be able to rely on dirty tricks when next they meet. The newly crowned champion, with her monsters at her side, brushes off these remarks and asks the company to reward her strong performance. The penultimate match is much anticipated showdown between the teams of Velvet McIntyre and Debbie Combs and Luna Vachon and Rhonda Singh. There is no doubt, throughout the match, that Velvet McIntyre and Debbie Combs are on the same page and both women have a burning hatred in their hearts for their opponents. Luna Vachon is desperate to prove her worth to her stablemates and Rhonda Singh is obsessed with regaining a position of prestige within the company. That all adds up to a violent contest, overflowing with passion. Try as they might, however, the monsters are simply no match for a psyched-up team of avengers. All they can do is delay the inevitable. Velvet McIntyre & Debbie Combs defeat Luna Vachon & Rhonda Singh in 16:13 when Debbie Combs pins Luna Vachon after a neckbreaker A final video package – promoting the company in general and Wendi Richter in particular – takes us through to the interviews and Medusa Miceli turns up to chew the heels out claim that she’s found a new monster to at least give them a greater numbers advantage if they continue to underperform as individuals. The victors are asked if they intent to continue as a tag team. They laugh the question off and shake hands before declaring themselves rivals once more. The entrances for the main event then begin. Babyface Nellie tries her best but it’s impossible for her to disguise her nervousness. Wendi Richter comes down to even more fanfare than usual and she milks the spectacle for all its worth. Once the champion is in the ring, she flashes her opponent a wicked smile to signal her contempt and she draws out the time before the bell to rile the crowd up. The opening stretch has a narrative of its own; Wendi Richter toys with Babyface Nellie and shows her absolutely no respect. Eventually the champ grows tired of the whole affair and decides to put her opponent away. A thunderous powerbomb nets her a … two count! Wendi Richter’s shock and frustration at failing to secure a quick victory is just enough to give Babyface Nellie a chance to strike. The challenger capitalises and launches into a torrent of offence, with left and rights and whips and throws. She clearly allows herself to believe that she could make good on this opportunity and bring home the world title. Her self-belief comes to a screeching halt, however, when Wendi Richter finally gets her head back in the game and Babyface Nellie is shut down. A back-and-forth ensues as they both race desperately towards the finish. The challenger is incapable or dealing with the champions go-to desperation tactic, however. Wendi Richter drags her opponent out of the ring and brutalises Babyface Nellie with a powerbomb on the outside. The champ then gets back into the ring to wait for a count-out decision. Instead, her opponent crawls into the ring at a count of nine and has to be put out of her misery. Wendi Richter defeats Babyface Nellie in 21:44 by pinfall after a powerbomb to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship The show goes off air to scene of jubilant champion.

I'm really glad Curt Hennig got a well-earned victory. The international title for title match was a perfect mid-card spectacle and Giant Haystacks barging his way in lets each man save face. Roy Welch getting is comeuppance was a great feel good moment! It's always good to see Rocky Johnson come out on top. You've captured the wild and supremely dangerous energy of Terry Funk quite well. There's really nothing like a bloody beatdown for Tully Blanchard! What a way to end the show!
-
Brain Pillman versus Bret Hart! That would've been amazing! What does Percy Pringle have up his sleeve? Tag team turmoil is always a great way to end a show!
-
It's great to see the Brigade getting the better of the Midnights, and to see that Percy Pringle is still causing chaos. The Hart Foundation versus the Snowbirds is a match I definitely want to see!

Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XVII – 24th of March 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre versus Misty Blue Simmes for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship With Susan Starr’s allies at ringside, the programme opens at bell time for the traditional television title match. Lisa Moretti puts on a clinic and dominates proceedings for the first half of the match. She cannot keep herself from taunting the other women at ringside, however, and that eventually comes back to bite her. Susan Starr rolls up the distracted champion and comes within a split second of stealing the title. Lisa Moretti is shaken by the near miss and her fighting becomes sloppier and nastier. The babyface fails to take advantage of this, however. Lisa Moretti defeats Susan Starr in 12:47 by pinfall after a powerslam to retain the WWW Television Championship A flashy interlude then takes us through to the interviews. Susan Starr beats herself up for failing to put the champ away, but her friends tell her that what counts is what she learned for next time. An outraged Lisa Moretti accuses the girls at ringside of trying to interfere in her match and demands that no one be allowed at ringside for next week’s title defence. After a commercial break, we get to see some tag team action, with the Nasty Girls – Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux – taking on Desiree Petersen and Winona Little Heart. The two teams are evenly matched and produce and fast-paced and, as things drag on, increasingly intense contest. Quick tags in and out give each pairing of opponents a chance to shine and each team gets a near-fall of their own before the finish. Desiree Petersen & Winona Little Heart defeat Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux in 14:35 when Winona Little Heart pins Kat LeRoux with a victory roll An interlude which, among other things, teases a reveal of Wendi Richter’s opponent at the supercard, plays before the interviews. The heels whine and rant and rave and the word “fluke” is screamed more than once. The babyfaces are humble, by contrast, saying that victory was hard fought and that the match could have gone either way. Selina Majors and Susan Starr rush in to congratulate them. The second commercial break takes us to short segment with Wendi Richter and Pat Patterson. After a bit of ego-boosting from the boss, the world champion announces that her opponent at the supercard will be … Babyface Nellie! After that news we move quickly onto the main event. With two faces in the ring, the match is clean and technical. Each woman has room to breathe and pace herself. It begins increasingly obvious, however, that Velvet McIntyre is having trouble. The theory is raised by the commentators that her rivalry with Medusa Miceli might be causing her to lose focus. Misty Blue Simmes, on the other hand, is perfectly composed and determined to win. That’s what matters in the end. Misty Blue Simmes defeats Velvet McIntyre in 16:39 by pinfall after a diving splash to win the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship The former champion, despite being visibly upset, shakes the victor’s hand and we end on a shot of the two celebrating together.

The Snowbirds are unbeatable, the best of the blondes wasn't good enough! I love to see wins for Ron Simmons! Joel Deaton and Mike Miller sure are running amok, and I can't wait to see someone taking them down a peg.
-
Keiichi Yamada and Hiroshi Hase versus Tracy Smothers and Dan Severn, would be such a great match! A tease of Joel Deaton versus Scott Hall - I think Percy Pringle might have his work cut out for him with that one.
-
I'm greatly looking forward to this. I hope Curt Hennig gives Greg Gagne a good kicking and the main event is an absolute must see. It's definitely the right kind of card to make the promotional switch on because it's absolutely stacked.
-
A great fight between Hiroshi Hase and Dan Severn is easy to imagine. It sounds to me, like there might be a plan brewing to relieve the Beast of his title - Percy Pringle should never be underestimated.

Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XVI – 17th of March 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre & Debbie Combs versus Medusa Miceli & Luna Vachon The programme gets off to a slower start this week, with an extended promotional music video and a recap of recent events within the company. The first match sees Lisa Moretti get her wish, as she takes on the less experienced Selina Majors. Selina Majors newfound friends accompany to the ring and give her some much-needed moral support. The green babyface puts in a decent showing but Lisa Moretti is obviously a cut above her and puts her away with relative ease. Lisa Moretti defeats Selina Majors in 11:27 by pinfall after a powerslam to retain the WWW Television Championship An interlude filled with merchandise adverts takes us through to the interviews. Selina Majors is pretty torn up but her friends gather around her and try to fill her confidence back up with excited chatter. Lisa Moretti thanks Pat Patterson for granting her request and says she wants to keep the ball rolling, mentioning Susan Starr by name as someone she wants to give an opportunity to. A commercial break then brings us to an announcement for the main event of the forthcoming supercard. In recognition for her impressive victory in February, Wendi Richter has been allowed to pick her opponent. After that, we move onto a curious match-up of size versus speed. As Lady Apache takes on Rhonda Singh, the commentators speculate that this contest is intended to wear Rhonda Singh down and make her less likely to interfere with the main event. The match itself flows in a relatively predictable fashion. Lady Apache gets a few big moves in, including an impressive missile dropkick, but Rhonda Singh eventually proves to be just too much to deal with. Rhonda Singh defeats Lady Apache in 13:16 by pinfall after a splash Another interlude then takes us to the interviews. Lady Apache promises to do better next time, beating herself up over an understandable loss. Rhonda Singh rants about deserving a title shot, though she refuses to elaborate. The second commercial break then takes us the main event. The match is brutal and intense from the moment the bell rings. As much as the heels were counting on it, Velvet McIntyre and Debbie Combs don’t suffer from any major miscommunication and both fight like women possessed. Medusa Miceli can handle herself but becomes increasingly reliant on dirty tactics to make up for Luna Vachon’s relative underperformance. Towards the fifteen-minute mark, it becomes clear that Velvet McIntyre and Debbie Combs are on track to win. A crossbody on Luna Vachon is the signal for Rhonda Singh to race to the ring and smash into Velvet McIntyre. Velvet McIntyre & Debbie Combs defeat Medusa Miceli & Luna Vachon in 14:52 by disqualification after interference from Rhonda Singh The bell rings but the action continues with increased ferocity. We go off air to scenes of violent carnage.
-
Pacific has an excellent tag team scene. It's great to see Percy Pringle going to work for his client. Tracy Smothers versus Keiichi Yamada looks like it's going to make for a violent emotion-filled match.
-
I'm looking forward to see what "the Suicide Blondes" can do. Tracy Smothers versus Keichii Yamada is an exciting prospect, as well, and you can never go wrong with Percy Pringle - I imagine he will prove invaluable for Joel Deaton.
