  1. WCW Saturday Night 19/01/2019 The show begins with a clip package detailing the history of WCW and the NWA, with special attention paid to Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Dusty Rhodes and Bob Orton. Jim Cornette runs down the card and delivers a passionate sermon on the glory days of professional wrestling and Tony Schiavone follows up with gushing comments on Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Ronda Rousey (calling them "true superstars"). Ladder Match for the WCW Hardcore Championship Sheamus and Claudio dominate the first few minutes of the contest, working as a team to beat down the competition. This works to all but eliminate Eric Young before Moxley evens things out with a chair shot to Sheamus. The commentary team plays up Smith's heritage and Extreme Tiger's underdog status. As the match drags on, Moxley and Smith form a partnership to keep Claudio and Sheamus in check but turn on each other soon after. The finish sees Smith and Tiger warring over the belt. Moxley tips the ladder over, sending Smith crashing to the matt. Tiger dangles above the ring, hanging from the belt, but receives a chair shot to his side and comes crashing down. Jon Moxley wins the WCW Hardcore Championship in 24:39. Women's Three-Way Trios Match Flair, Rousey and Kana emerge as captains of their respective teams but dysfunction upsets each team in turn; Ellering, Savoy and Konami do not seem to fit. Flair's team is eliminated first, to the commentary team's shock, when Tessa Blanchard is pinned by Kana after a "blue mist assist" (per Cornette) from Kagetsu. Flair argues with the referee but to no avail. She attacks Kagetsu before officials lead her away. The finish comes not long after, with Konami submitting to Rousey's armbar. Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler & Nicole Savoy defeat Kana, Konami & Kagetsu and Charlotte Flair, Tessa Blanchard & Nicole Savoy in 21:15. Renee Young conducts a post-match interview with Jon Moxley who talks up the intangible edge he possesses as a wrestler and says he feels especially suited to the hardcore division. WCW Television Championship Match The commentary team continuously big up Rotunda (who is clean shaven and wearing traditional black wrestling trunks), with Cornette in particular gushing over his pedigree, but they're consistently stymied by Tim Storm's performance. Storm seems to overpower, outsmart and out-wrestle Rotunda at every turn. Rotunda resorts to stalling tactics at various points and experiments with abusing the rules at every opportunity, all to no avail. The finish comes once Rotunda decides to leave, threatening to throw away the match. Storm brawls with him up and down the ramp, managing to get him back in the ring just in time. Storm hits a swinging side slam for the win. Tim Storm defeats Windham Rotunda to win the WCW Television Championship in 22:31. A post-match interview with Charlotte Flair reveals that she is furious with the outcome of her match and is demanding the chance to face Kagetsu one on one. Cornette later reveals on commentary that such a match has been authorised for the coming Nitro. Main Event Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio wrestle most of this match on their own until Randy Orton becomes frustrated with his partner's lack of progress. A headlock slows the match to a crawl before Jericho manages to make the hot tag. Jericho initially prevails against Orton with a highlight reel of signature moves but it only nets him a one count and the tide is soon turned against him. Cody takes a cue from Orton and keeps Rey busy. Rey prevails in the short brawl on the outside but not in time to make the save and Jericho submits to an STF. Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes defeat Rey Mysterio, Jr. & Chris Jericho in 27:56. The show closes with on advertisement for 'Clash of the Champions XXXVI' on the twenty-seventh of January.

  6. World Championship Wrestling's Roster & Title Picture - Valid as of 02/02/2019 WCW has endeavoured to ensure that it strikes a balance, wherever possible, between the prestige and heritage of its titles. The company's newly-founded IPWA (International Professional Wrestling Association) championship committee has taken the decision to facilitate the licensure of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Whilst WCW's own splinter title arguably enjoyed higher highs, in the view of the IPWA, it also endured lower lows; notably with the loss of the title by Diamond Dallas Page in a tag team match (which the champion won) to non-wrestler David Arquette and during the championship reign of the television writer Vince Russo. NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Rey Mysterio, Jr. The IPWA further recognises three other NWA titles, the World Women's Championship, the United States Heavyweight Championship and the World Women's Tag Team Championship. It traces the lineage of the NWA US title through to the present day WWE US title and the Womens' tag titles through the defunct WWF Women's tag titles. NWA Women's World Champion: Charlotte Flair NWA United States Heavyweight Champion: Cody Rhodes NWA Women's World Tag Team Champions: Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler The IPWA recognises four WCW titles; the World Tag Team Championships, the Television Championship, the Hardcore Championship and the Cruiserweight Championship. It traces the lineage of the tag titles through the WWE World tag titles (beginning 18/11/2001) to the current WWE/Raw tag titles (beginning 26/04/2010) and the lineage of the cruiserweight title through to the current WWE Cruiserweight title. WCW Tag Team Champions: Sheamus O'Shaunessy (5) & Claudio Castagnoli (6) WCW Televsion Champion: Johnny Mundo WCW Hardcore Champion: Jon Moxley WCW Cruiserweight Champion: Prince Devitt The IPWA has also taken the decision to create a new title, designed to represent the symbolic rebirth of the company. It will be competed for exclusively under old school rules; every match will be one on one, every match will be two out of three falls, moves from the top rope will be grounds for disqualification as will throwing one's opponent over the top rope and its champion will be forced to defend the title at least once every fourteen days. IPWA Southern Heritage Champion: Vacant * Current titleholder does not possess a contract to wrestle for WCW and may be stripped at the discretion of the IPWA. 7. Following the unprecedented 2019 draft, Ted Turner's newly revived wrestling company has announced its event schedule going forward. WCW Monday Nitro will air on the twenty-first of January on TNT and run weekly action-packed events going forward, WCW Saturday Night will air on the nineteenth and a major PPV-style event will run on the last Sunday of each month. These events will air either on TBS under the 'Clash of the Champions' banner (also streaming live on WCW's soon-to-launch subscription service) or as internet exclusive branded supercards. The company will tour Europe in May, culminating in the Slamboree event, but will otherwise focus on reestablishing its ties to the southern United States. WCW's aim is to embrace its multi-faceted past, combining the rugged southern wrasslin' of the eighties with the diverse and exciting presentation of the nineties. The company's darker days have also left an indelible mark and its first action as a legal entity was to establish a championship committee with clear and concise rules to govern its match-making and various title situations. This committee comprises of; Ric Flair, Jim Cornette, Bill Watts, Kevin Sullivan, Jeff Jarrett and Dustin Rhodes.
  8. My schedule will comprise of two weekly shows and one 'major' show each month (be it a television special or subscription exclusive).
  9. I'll have an inaugural show on Saturday, with details for the card released tomorrow.
  10. My Extras: Momo Watanabe Renee Young Starlight Kid Ric Flair Bo Dallas Bill Watts Dustin Rhodes Kevin Sullivan Jeff Jarrett
  11. Round 32 NJPW x 2 IWC x 2 ROH x 2 Round 33 WWE x 2 ROH x 2 IWC x 2 NJPW x 2 WCW x 2 Round 34 WCW x 2 NJPW x 2 IWC x 2 ROH x 2 WWE x 2 End of Draft
  12. WCW selects Konami and Curtis Axel. UWF ECW NJPW IWC ROH
  13. WWE actually has one more pick, since we've entered Round 32 (two picks - four hour time limit). I think.
  14. WCW selects Fred Rosser (Darren Young). WWE WWE WCW UWF ECW NJPW IWC ROH
  15. I'm happy with that idea.
  16. That sounds like a plan.
  17. Does anyone else have any designs on joshi talent?
  18. WCW selects Kagetsu. IWC UWF WWE
  19. As did I. The Revival were my top tag team pick but I went for the Bar (just for the star power) - bad decision, I feel. Then again, if I'd have taken the Revival, you'd have taken Shayna Baszler.
  20. Jim Cornette will be my colour guy and main authority figure. I'll pick someone up for play-by-play and a few random people for matchmaking and contract-signing angles, but that's it.
  21. WCW selects Jim Cornette, and the team of Kalisto and Sin Cara (Hunico), forfeiting its Round 27 pick. NJPW UWF WWE ROH IWC ECW
  22. I haven't followed him in a while. I actually had to double-check he was still active.
  23. WCW selects Extreme Tiger (Tigre Uno). WWE ECW UWF Round 25: ECW IWC ROH WWE UWF NJPW WCW
  24. I do have plans for a small cruiserweight division, which will likely consist of a handful of luchadors.
  25. My roster is a little over half of what I wanted it to be, but there were quite a few picks that I'm really glad I stole (like Shayna Baszler). Things could've been a hell of a lot worse. I don't mind anyone taking a trios pick, especially this late in the draft. I also have no preferences on the name.
