  1. If round two has begun, then WCW takes Lex Luger.
  2. Does round two begin immediately?
  3. WCW takes Bret Hart.
  4. Fine by me, as well.
  5. Ray Lloyd was on the UWFi roster at this point, wasn't he? Either way, he should be on the list.
  6. I've protected him.
  7. That looks good to me, though others more knowledgeable may disagree. When do we get started? Edit: I doubt anyone cares either way, but what was 'Thunder' (Jeff Farmer's partner in '94) doing at this time? His profile on Cage Match says he goes six years without wrestling after '94.
  8. I now have two booking plans taking me into 1996: Ideal plan; booking on the assumption that I get everyone I want in the draft (obviously still keeping it, somewhat, realistic and in line with a plausible draft strategy). I'm very excited about this one and have a lot of cool things lined up. Skeleton-crew plan; booking on the assumption that the draft goes poorly for me and I end up with a bunch of scrubs. I've got a plan to book around my four protected workers for as long as I need to, in order to think up a new strategy to build whoever else I might have on my roster.
  9. I think you should extend the cap to seven, because a cursory glance at WWF's roster month by month in '96 has them occasionally exceeding the limit. Even more so if you include Glenn Jacobs. Nothing is stopping future foreign talent. Just initial focus on home talent. If in one year WCW is half Mexican that is fine... Is what I am thinking. If people want it upped, fine though I thought it was a hard cap. If it's just for the initial draft, then that's perfectly fine by me.
  10. I think you should extend the cap to seven, because a cursory glance at WWF's roster month by month in '96 has them regularly exceeding the limit. Even more so if you include Glenn Jacobs.
  11. Is this realistic? It would prohibit AJPW from trying to recreate their real-life roster.
  12. I can't wait to get this show on the road? How is everyone else approaching the draft; making up a plan and entering with a specific goal in mind or playing it by ear and making up a plan after the fact?
  13. I'd like a free agent rule, let them go wherever they're needed. This time period in the USA ('94-'97) was basically Alundra/Madusa against flown-in joshi, tags and singles. I'm, actually, happy with it either way (they enter upon real-life calendar return, or a month prior, or they're eligible from the start but unusable, if injured, until then).
  14. If he's anything like me, he might have made his protections with a plan in mind rather than just going for the four best workers or top stars. I hear Bret has a passport and is looking for revenge against Tiger Mask 2. I hear he's looking for a payout from Billionaire Ted.
  15. If he's anything like me, he might have made his protections with a plan in mind rather than just going for the four best workers or top stars. Edit: For example, I've made my protections for an emergency scenario. Basically, if I end up with only my protections and a bunch of scrubs, can I still book a few months of solid television?
  16. The draft is going to be very interesting and, for me at least, potentially very painful. Also, interesting to note that the WWF and I have both left our world champions unprotected.
  17. This channel recently popped up. It's only a matter of time before it gets taken down, though, so get the stuff you want/need quick. It's mostly mid-2000s Joshi but it's also posted a few full-length ARSION shows.
  18. Was he there at this time? Edit: He was in ECW in November, so I assume the answer is no.
  19. WCW saves Ric Flair, Sting, Brian Pillman and the Giant.
  20. I'd prefer to be able to save four, instead of three, but, then again, of course I would.
  21. I only have one misgiving about the stealing system: What if a guy is taken off television to sell an injury or as part of an angle? If they're exempt, which I think they should be, it might create a loophole where a player could just have an announcer mention off-hand that various people have been nursing an injury on the last show of whatever month. Perhaps, in that case, there could an exemption system capped at one talent per month. Edit: Should I assume loaned talent are exempt from the stealing mechanic? So, if I sent Hulk Hogan to New Japan for a month, he wouldn't count as being "off" my television, would he? Also, is the pre-draft protection rule of three workers overriding the previous tiered rule?
  22. Great! I've already got outlines down for potential booking and draft strategies. As it stands, without making any protection picks, am I right to think that my roster already contains Turner plus all announcers/commentators and referees?
  23. Several questions: Are you forcing protections on anyone? For example, I was considering playing dangerously and leaving Hogan until the draft, is that acceptable? You've said that the start date is the first of September, does this mean Lex Luger could be included in the WWF's protection picks? Are there any rules in regards to realism? As in, are we booking for ourselves or do we have to follow preexisting strategies/plans held by the companies going into September? Will company relationships be carried over? For example, as WCW, would I be free to trade/loan talent to and from New Japan? Will the calendar match reality? For example, when Raw/Nitro ran unopposed, will we be booking as if it didn't or will one player sit out that week?
  24. Yes, it's not a big deal either way but there are a few things having Turner could be good for.
  25. This is a great start-date (maximum potential for deviation). I'm pumped up! Also, if I read you correctly, Eric Bischoff is locked in for me? Or Ted Turner? Come to think of it, for the purposes of the game, will I be in control of just WCW or TBS itself?
