Miro's promos are the absolute BEST. Short, sweet, with often great lines. Plus, they ALWAYS do the job of selling me the match.

Problem with MJF/Pillmann is not just that Junior isn't good to be on that place yet, but there was a serious disconnect between what was presented and how he reacted. MJF calls his mom Methany, he just stares very angrily! MJF is harrassing Julia Hart, and he just behaves like nothing happened. The fact his match barely got any hint of interference just made things look even worse. Pillmann left looking worse than when he entered.

lol Brandi and Cody Rhhhodes are not likeable at all. Just turn them heel.

It'd be hard to care about Pillmann even if they opened the episode. Dude was a certified goober through and through.

I started watching from that buckle bomb onward, basically. I still got some good things out of the match, but man am I bummed I just couldn't watch the first 3/4 of the match.

AEW does one thing very damn well: they make you care about something regardless of the end product, and to me that's the hardest thing to do in wrestling. Also Kenneth has a tendency to get too cute for his own good. Like, he's settin up a dragon suplex and just goes for a spinning heel kick. Why? The was barely any struggle.

The thing is, I don't even think they are going with that Attitude Era edge. We had people saying "fuck" and "assholes" yesterday, and people making remarks on how the Toxic Attraction were "fine" (they are), but that was it. We also had an on-screen kiss which I don't really recall outside of huge angles. It feels that they are having humans behave as humans, which is good.

I don't see them doing that change in approach. At least not with USA and Fox throwing money at them. If that situation changes, then we are talking.
