  1. It seems people really did tune in for NXT 2.0. If they are able to sustain that, specially younger viewers, I'm happy. 2012-2015 NXT is one of my favorite wrestling shows ever, and if they capture that same energy (the first episode did feel like it), awesome.
  2. I dunno guys, but with Bryan calling Omega a fucking geek who just doesn't have any balls, hiding behind Don Callis, might indicate that this non-title match is in the pocket for Danielson. It might even play a part down the road.
  3. I mean, I don't expect them to do a full MMA match, but what's the point of having Dan Lambert, who has founded one of the best teams in mixed martial arts, if he is not going to use his fighters? If the end goal is to have a spotlight on heel Page/Scorpio, couldn't they just do that without having Lambert as a mouthpiece? I mean, both guys can talk. If they are using Cigano and/or Arlovski, why even have Ego and Sky? It all just seems very messy.
  4. Yeah, it absolutely is more about loosening up and learning how to properly convey whatever character you have. Miz, even with his lame early days, still conveyed who he was with absolute confidence. Nakamura's overhaul happened after he went to Mexico, isn't that right?
  5. I'm just fucking mad that he has Andrei Arlovski and Cigano - actual outsiders - in the ring and yet the ones having a match are.... Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky. Who are signed to AEW. And with Jericho making allusions to Brock Lesnar AND Bill Goldberg, saying he's had "shoot fights" with both and survived, no way this shit ends here.
  6. No, he has tons of upside! I love that he doesn't have to do insane flips because he is doing more basic things in breath-taking fashion. The height he gets on that Missile Dropkick is fucking amazing. He kinda reminds me of ECW/Air Boom Sydal, who was also a super fun young dude to watch.
  7. It's not - I never said it was, too. One of the better moments of the first hour, in fact. Anyway, it is a positive in how they manage to advance storylines even in a meh episode. They give you a reason to watch regardless of quality.
  8. Dynamite was kinda meh, not gonna lie. That first hour was particularly rough with some pretty bad segments, but the show clearly picked up steam after Jade's match. I really did like the finish to Ten Guy vs Darby Allin, tho. Dude is carrying his matches on his back.
  9. How many lines of cocaine was that Malakai (hate that name)/Cody/Rosario Dawson segment?
  10. FTR vs Sydal/Dante was alright, but it was basically just a showcase for Dante. Dude jumps really fucking high! Also, doesn't Christian's promo imply that Cody is basically allowing his others EVPs to just fuck things up?
  11. Frankie "The Elite Hunter" Kazarian feels a bit like Tito Santana hanging with Hogan and Warrior in the 1990 Survivor Series main event. He's good and all but feels completely out of place hanging with the big boys.
  12. Might as well just use Holy Demon Army as their name
  13. Oh, don't mind if I do Didn't he appear with JUNIOR DOS SANTOS in one week and then ETHAN PAGE in the following one? That's a downgrade.
  14. What did I miss? I read that Christian got a slight dig in
  15. Wasn't Rick himself really fucking over on the Varsity Club, tho? Besides, I'd rather have the son of Wayne Bloom over the son of Curt Hennig. Lineage is not everything etc
  16. Worst thing is that dude is actually pretty good, but he REEKS of early days Edge. A bit uglier or better looking depending on the eye of the beholder, but the lanky frame is very similar. Hope he develops an actual character and presence soon, tho.
  17. I'm curious: what exactly you don't like about Big E's presentation, or at least don't see as a main even level act?
  18. Cole's biggest problem is him having people in his ear all the fucking time. When he is not micromanaged (e.g. those Network specials such as the UK tournament or the MYC) he is absolutely on a roll. He shares the same excitement Tony has for pro wrestling, and is doubly happy for not having to deal with bullshit through his headset. Didn't like a lot of his heel run, tho. That sucked.
  19. I remember there was a tag team ladder match, I don't recall the event, where Big E essentially benched the ladder with two people on it. One of the most underrated spots I've seen.
  20. I don't like that Josh Briggs dude. Bull Buchanan's son, Brooks Jensen, looks promising tho.
  21. It was against Balor, bubba. But hey, check it out. It had tons of new faces, very young people making their debuts (Rex Steiner is TWENTY THREE). It felt like a new era, very reminiscent of the best years of NXT aka 2012 and 2013.
  22. I mean, the InDex storyline is the final act of HHH's hold over NXT. It is one of the best thing they've ever done, and it was a wedding angle. Of course it should've gone last. BTW, some people are already feeling out of place, one episode in. It's the wind of change, bubbas!
  23. Very good first impression. Outside of the 4way result, thoroughly enjoyable.
  24. LA Knight won't be your top champ and is a good promo. He's serviceable in the ring, so you could do far worse. He's moving to the main roster.
