I'm positive both Headbangers and the Spirit Squad are paid by appearance. I would enjoy SS to get a full-time deal, though, as Kenny is only 30 and is looking incredible.

I'm not sure if I would go that far to say "10" chants can be the next "Yes", but Tye is a solid midcarder, as a wrestler and as a gimmick.

It has Roadblock around a week before Christmas. I would pick Cena to win the Rumble, actually. Gotta set up for that #16 at WM33.

[2016-11-20-WWE-Survivor Series] Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar
KawadaSmile replied to GOTNW's topic in November 2016
It was actually the 2nd best match of the show for me, despite not really liking it being a squash. I was hoping something like Goldberg vs Norton were two bulky dudes beat the shit out of each other for 4 minutes until Goldberg gets the spear + jackhammer. I have to say though, that with the story going to the match and the in-ring performances - facial expressions, overall build - they did a very nice job. For what it was, it was executed very nicely and I commend them for it. Also it does have the benefit of sparking curiosity of what is going to come out of it.- 14 replies

So, after last night's odd Survivor Series, there were moments that progressed some stories and raised some questions: How is JeriKO going to survive after Owens pretty much destroyed Jericho's most valuable possession, the list? Is Zayn going to get a rematch after being screwed out of his championship win? Would that mean he's going to jump ship for good? After losing to Goldberg in less than 90 seconds, what will Brock and Heyman do? Who attacked Nikki? Is Shane alive? Did Orton finally gain Harper's trust? WHOSE SIDE IS HE ON? Bayley vs Charlotte is also the main RAW women's feud now, so how will that play out? As much as the show felt weird and downright bad to a lot of people, I think it did one thing right: instigated us to talk about it by giving us those points above - of course it could be argued that PPV should be the epilogue of storylines and not just another chapter, or even that many points might not be addressed at all this week, but I am actually very curious this time.

I was actually thinking about the same thing. I recall WM32 being called one of the worst of all time by some, when in fact it was much more strange than it was bad. This Survivor Series also falls in the same category. Besides 70% of that main SS match, I can't really say there were BAD matches. Weird, oddly-booked matches, but not bad. I mean, there were good showings for some newcomers like American Alpha, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax, Strowman also is slowly getting more and more reactions. Also, is Kevin Owens one of the worst champions ever?
-
Gotta keep that optimism going strong, brother. I mean, wasn't he originally supposed to lose to Reigns at WM31?
-
So does that mean that any chance of putting some active talent over strong by beating Brock is gone now? I mean, his main characteristic, that he was this unbeatable monster is pretty much gone now that he lost to a guy who hasn't wrestled in 12 years, in under two minutes.

2nd best match in the show. My lord.
-
There were some interesting moments in this match, but my God. Nearly 70 minutes long. Orton is being immensely good in his role, and for once the Wyatts looked close to being as strong as they once were back in 2013/14. Strowman being a huge monster, Reigns/AJ segments and the finish were positives, but that's all I can say.

I think Rollins might have worse punches than Shane. That is unbelievable

Coming to the ring wearing that awful looking shirt is one thing, but still having it on is another. It's not like he has anything to hide, and almost every one of his team mates took their shirts off
-
I am seeing this last Survivor Series match going very long. Probably Undertaker interfering like Sting in the 2014 main event.
-
Gotta give the match ** 1/2. AA using Steiners' Doomsday Bulldog and having some few moments with Cesaro/Sheamus, and the finishing stretch made it a passable match.
-
Okay, Cesaro/Sheamus vs American Alpha is a match that NEEDS to happen down the line.
-
Good match, maybe they are going to turn Zayn/Miz into a longer program? Possibly adding Ziggler to the mix?
-
Alexa and Nia looked very good in this match, and to a lesser degree, so did Naomi. There were some spots that unfortunately fell apart, but overall it was fine. Hope the crowd remains hot for the remainder of the show.
-
Nattie replacing Nikki is a huge downgrade, but at least having a canadian wrestler helps with the actually quite hot crowd.
-
I think Asuka had the better match today, and while I liked her bout against Emma, some things like the foreign object spots didn't quite click. While I get what they tried to do in Bayley vs Nia, I am a bit conflicted about Bayley kicking out of various finishers and winning with a move she basically never did before. The main event at London was something I thought was just bad. Balor is just... not very good most of the times. While I can't say Joe/Nak II was good, it felt like it had more going for it.
-
I think that "honor" goes to Takeover London.

Overall a very good show with the MOTY. Sadly, the main event failed to live up to the hype - although in this case the hype was also pretty "eh" to begin with. It felt like they were going through the motions, specially Nakamura.
