  1. Yeah, that's one of the reasons I think NXT will benefit from 2 hours. Finishing with a title change is not bad. In fact, it was a good match with some legit great moments, and the result did serve a purpose. However, if you had that AND managed to include the 2nd hour on TV, I believe more people would be inclined to watch the product the following weeks.
  2. C.S., there are hills worth dying on. Calling Mauro Ranallo an all-timer, the best in the business is not one of them.
  3. You're golden, bubba. Plus your previous post shed a different light on the dude and it's a great insight not just about him, but about mental health & mental health treatment. What was really telling to me is that when you mention his delusions of grandeur, you can even see hints of it spilling into his commentary. At the last Takeover, during the main event, the crowd was chanting "Mamma Mia" and he went out of his way to say "truly this is a moment deserving of my catchphrase" and it just felt so odd. It's almost like he's needing to be catered to, instead of selling the action for the viewer.
  4. NXT going over 1 million is an INCREDIBLE rating. They might be able to sustain that, and I think having a 2 hour show can be very helpful in order to give the viewer a reason to keep on watching, as they'd have more time to develop characters, storylines, and longer matches, as well as shorter ones to showcase talent. Can you give us the link to him being exposed, my dude? Sound like an interesting read.
  5. It is, and it's even worse during Takeovers. The last one, Takeover Toronto, was pretty much one of the worst experiences I've had regarding commentary.
  6. Naito was always more interesting to me in regards of how he plays his character than actually being a wrestler. Sure he can kick ass in the ring like in the matches you've mentioned, but I always got more enjoyment of him heeling it out, having spit contests with his opponent or stalling to take off his suit than what he did in the ring, specially because sometimes he gave us some ugly, lazy shit. I guess that can count too. The fact that he can elicit a good response without needing to do so much tells me he is great, or at the very least a very smart worker.
  7. It seems people are having trouble using the Network. They either didn't see this number of people would enter the site simultaneously or didn't bother to make sure the site wouldn't crash. Either way, pretty bad move.
  8. I think this was a good 1st show. We got a strong women's division, Dream looked GREAT, and the Undisputed Era hold all the belts and are absolute bastards, which makes it easier to follow. Next week they'll have the big boys go at it, too!
  9. I love Roddy but those thigh slaps were awful
  10. I wish I made a tweet half as funny as that, my dude.
  11. Cole marking out to Meiko Satomura >>>> anything Mauro ever did on commentary. This is Toronto, nothing but nuts!!!!!! This is shorter than a Tik Tok video!!!!!! Mamma Mia Yim!!!!!!! Seriously. I think about this tweet everytime. Horrible, horrible. Plus the fact that him and Beth/Nigel barely interact make the NXT commentary team AWFUL.
  12. From what I can recall, since I can't find the video, he made remarks about how Mauro was giving way too much attention to internet popularity and spent way too much time making bad references.
  13. Remember when JBL made a joke (more like a good observation) and people were really "angry"? He was right all along.
  14. One of the best possible opening matches they could've done. Bianca is such a star, an ICON, a queen, a boss, the EST, man!
  15. I'll fight you for saying that Honestly, though: Bianca and Io being the first two wrestlers to appear in the 1st live NXT is dope.
  16. Hunter almost makes Vince look humble.
  17. Hell yeah! (Not that I count but still, I'm curious)
  18. This segment was fantastic Now, we might not only have Daniel Bryan/Roman Reigns vs Erick Rowan/Luke Harper (my god) but also Heavy Machinery vs Rowan/Harper.
  19. I feel bad for Tucker. It's impossible not to get overshadowed by Otis.
  20. King Baron Duke Corbin
  21. Either this or just a convenient way to write off Shane
  22. Fun fact: Kofi has been WWE Champion for more days than Roman and Batista. Guess bad narratives don't really hold up, right?
  23. I mean, they did basically everything they could with Kofi. Cannot say this was a bad run at all, and it was one of the rare occasions where WWE read the room and changed plans. A net positive. But yeah, they absolutely should crown Brock champion when they go to Fox.
