Title Night in Alaska is shaping up! Liking the diverse field for the 8-man tournament. As Wrestlerock is one of biggest annual events for this game/industry, gut tells me the big showdown just may be Bad News vs. Nikita. I'll be in the sky box for that one. But for some reason, Fujinami won't go away as an alternative in my mind. Great spot with United Kingdom, and Taylor biting off more than he can potentially chew by planting seeds before the Warrior even makes his TV debut. Organic TV writes itself. Gagne "reeling" after the results of that Loser Leaves Town Match with George & Strong. I might have to agree with him, as I envisioned that finish happening differently. That's a big turn of events right there. Armstrong officially joins Synergy, and they don't miss a beat. Strength in numbers or a gradual moving-on for Adias? Nothing like some good TV main event chaos right out of the chute. THERE'S Gagne! And he's not alone. But the Guerreros & Strong ain't having it! Needed the Joey Styles "OH MY GOD!!" Could sense the bad blood here. Warrior going on last made sense & worth the wait. Ends the show on a high note with a new star making his imprint on the weekly TV in a love fest with the fans. That's what makes 80's wrestling TV great. Great job keeping Title Night at the forefront of everyone's minds. Part of the art of what we do is the ability to not only deliver great big shows, as best we can, but also to BUILD to them. That's what makes the journey special. Build vs. Payoff is the constant give-and-take, and it's pretty damn cool. Good stuff sir.

Oh my!...

This show really delivered. Stallion winning lent itself to a sense of mystery & intrigue. In the TV Title Match, envisioning Abdullah KO'd by that Machine Lariat makes for quite the visual. Brody beats Hansen for the US gold! I can imagine the wild ride this match must have been, and the visual of where the pinfall took place. Oh my... QUITE the reveal!... Tully! I am chomping at the bit to see the fallout from this and the program that evolves with Ric over the big gold. What an eventful night, with some major payoffs & some twists for new ground to be treaded. What a way to close out 1987!

Landell is determined to be Champion! To dangle his existence in the NWA is a gutsy carrot to dangle at Flar & the audience for that matter. Look at the way the crowd reacted. Landell getting the pinning visual, and in Flair's hometown no less, for the fans is big-time. Quite the chute to come out of after Starrcade. SOLD! Bring on Christmas Chaos! Hansen and Brody go another round also!

Man, we get Rocky vs. Haystacks next week. What a fun visual dynamic that will be! And Dusty vs. Arn... I mean, does it get any better than that? Can't wait to see where this Cup tournament goes!

Super enjoyed Night 1. Great job firing on all cylinders right out of the chute with a tournament for an important Title, and making a hot storyline (Watts) be the catalyst for it. Looks like Benoit is going to be a real player here. Nice job presenting/furthering stories within the tournament matches that run tangent to the tournament itself. Keeps the presentation about more than simply brackets. This will keep the weekly TV lush with different conflicts once the tournament ends. Excited to see the Finals and who walks away with the gold. Plenty of meat to bite into overall. Great first show. Welcome. Have fun with this.

Awesome Night 1! Dying to see the brackets for the quarterfinals!

No need to ever apologize for life kicking your butt. As the poster boy for this, no worries at all. That said... SUPERBLAST! I was most looking forward to Jake/Dibiase and Brody/Murdoch with the big Ladd stipulation going into it. I have to say, the notion of Brody & Murdoch beating the living hell and bodily fluids out of each other, only to turn out to have been in cahoots to snatch the rug out from under Ladd...... that's heavy. Like, big-time heavy. To have that big confirmation after the fact, that Watts was behind the whole thing, and then have it be countered almost immediately that Watts is the one off TV! I mean, that's good TV & a real turnabouts-fair play. Jake & Dibiase was surely instant classic. Given the thick story coming in, you could be assured the payoff would deliver big in the ring. And man, not sure I saw Jake getting beat. But what a dramatic finish, to be sure. Also, the triple dropkick on Hayes by R&R+K was a classic moment that had to have brought the house down. Seeing them walk out after that was VERY 1980's southern wrestling. Saw it as vivid as my hands on my keyboard. What a big night! And now we get the WrestleWar unveil! Nobody loves a tease more than Yours Truly. Well-played, sir. Great, great stuff all around here.

The Crockett Cup! Bring it! What better town that the ATL to have the surprise replacement for Duggan to show... MANNY FERNANDEZ!! Man, he's gonna kick ass & take names now that he's here. AND he's motivated. The Raging Bull might make this his yard. Talk about a stacked roster. From town to town, big night after big night with a variety of great match-ups all along the middle and tops of the cards. Great balance & it all feels very "in the moment". Big Dust puttin' it down about Tully & the Title. "More crooked than a sidewinder" sounds like it came right out of his mouth in the room I'm sitting in. And he promised to win the Title. I'm ready for more.

I LOVE this first show! Everyone loves the format, and so do I. It's a fresh new visual flow to reading events and it does a great job setting you apart, the way all of us are a bit different stylistically. I loved the concept of the 5 matches, with the winners battling it out the same night to determine the first Champion. Idol is going to be quite the lightning rod and that's a great thing for this date and time we're depicting. Have fun writing this. I have a feeling we're going to have great fun watching.

Great loop out house shows! Had to do a double-take when I saw the Outlaws beat the Road Warriors! Wow! Loving the Power Hour broadcasts as they capture much of what I remember from them as a kid on Friday nights.

Also seeing Bret Sawyer on my roster, but I never picked him up. My recent additions were Scott Armstrong and Missing Link. It appears Link is on my roster now, but not Brad. Just a heads-up is all.

This excites me. The card image gives it such a great look and feel already. I'm sure the content will be just as great. Looking forward to it.

Whoa... Just... Whoa. Jaw legit dropped. Seeing the breaking news with the World Title change, I found myself transported to that moment. Man. Wild ride.

I think the magazine piece is great. Really reels things in and ties major goings-on in a nice bow. Great job with it. The Flair/gold situation has so many potential layers to it. The magazine piece encapsulate some pretty rich storytelling there.

Christmas Chaos is the very type of card that the 8 year-old me would have been dying for the following Saturday morning to come along, so that I could tune in to the weekly TV for news on what happened. Was like opening a Christmas present all year when cards of that caliber would come down the pike. What a lineup!

LOVING this string of shows! Starrcade feels like it's going to be Must Watch TV! I'm still reeling a bit from Reed winning the gold! But I like the direction. Butch vs. Tully is going to be a different yet intriguing Starrcade main event. War Games? Yes please. Much less at the biggest show of the year? I'll be front row. You're really smokin' with this. Enjoying the ride.
