  1. Of course it can still be considered one of the greatest WWF matches, regardless of the dissention. It just depends on the opinions you take seriously and those you dismiss.
  2. This is all new to me. Until the other day, I had never heard of a spambot.
  3. Ah tragic. I was working on a match list for a Bam Bam comp but I think I may put that away in the "revisit next year" file.

  5. And the reality is that it isn't even a real ratings increase. So if the highest they ever scored was a 1.1 and the lowest was a .9 or .7, where is the significant increase. RAW ratings fluctuate wildly by whole ratings points, not percentages of a point. At best, until TNA increases its buyrates consistently (like HTQ says), they are in a holding pattern in a company that is losing money. If the insignificant increase in ratings means a significant increase in PPV buys, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.

  11. The one rule that will be enforced... NO RACISM. If a topic has racism as a topic, it is fine to discuss it. However, if you have a need to fulfill your racist tendencies, do it somewhere else. Our goal is to attract more posters, not alienate potential ones.
  12. One of the projects I have always wanted to work on was a Giant Baba comp. I have never seen a wrestler, save for Bob Backlund, that has polarized wrestling fans so much. So, what do you think of this guy? How much have you seen from him? On a positive note, he has been in some of the best matches I have ever seen. His work with Destroyer, Robinson, Race, Hansen and Jumbo are all excellent. On the other hand, people will look to his weak strikes and awkward demeanor and that prohibits them from taking him seriously. What side of the fence are you on?
  13. Well, in terms of matches, you absolutely have to include the first Wargames so that could be a nice addition to the upgraded matches library. I don't remember seeing it in bad shape. For more matches, I'll have to look through my match lists and decide which ones are necessary. As for the participants, I think JJ will rarely be mentioned at all. If they attack his character, I don't think it would serve a purpose. For Luger, they could always claim that the Horsemen lost their magic because he was so inexperienced, was difficult to work with, etc. You know, the Warrior burial job where all problems with the Horsemen begin and end with Luger being a member. However, this would be complete WWE revisionist bullshit history. The Horsemen died because Arn and Tully defected to the WWF where I am guessing Arn will come in and talk about how great it was to work in the Fed. A

  16. I figure I am about to reach critical mass with what I can pick up from trading in the next few months. That will leave me plenty of time to start my 500 better matches than Owen-Bret I know a ton of those matches would come from Japan and Mexico, that is for sure. As for 6/3/94, I made a post at NMB a couple years back asking about what matches need to be seen prior to watching the match. Tim Cooke made a nice post outlining what would be a good lead-in and I may revisit the idea again then make a comp out of it.

  19. I disagree, John. I think it is good to bring back the classics occasionally to refresh people's memories and to see if people changed their minds over the years. For instance, when I first hit the net, I would probably say that Owen-Bret from WM X was in my top 2 matches of all-time. Now, it wouldn't hit my top 500. Sometimes you need to re-examine what you like and dislike about wrestling even if it means revisiting a topic that has been beat in the ground, esp. if it has modern day implications.

  23. Well, on a selfish note, I was hoping for a Benoit or Finlay singles match. However, there are still some other decent wrestlers that they could have put in all of the singles matches. I'll be optimisic about the Cena and Hardys matches but maybe one or both is screaming out for some gimmick to be attached. I have no hope for the ECW or SD title matches.
  24. I would argue, Dave, that those are all one in the same.
  25. MNM vs. Hardys Bobby Lashley vs. Test (vs. RVD maybe) Batista vs. Kennedy Cena vs. Umaga Rumble This will be my first WWE PPV I shelled out cash for and this is what I get
