I watched the matches against Inoki, Baba & Abdullah and I liked all of them so much. The Inoki one is the best but they're all worth your time. Definitely interested in looking at more of his stuff. I dunno if he's a candidate yet, but I really like this style of wrestling.

Sabu was someone I dismissed outright in 2016. In the years since I've ended up revisiting a decent amount of matches from his prime and at his best he's a really special performer. He's someone I want to watch more of and think about at some point in the next 5 years. The Terry Funk rivalry is one of the best US rivalries of the 1990s.

My first favorite wrestler and I can still watch and love his matches. Sort of makes him impossible to rate, but its gonna be high.
-
If I had to recommend 3 matches I'd say: vs Chigusa 8/22/85 vs Shinobu Kandori 7/14/88 vs Bull Nakano 4/18/93 I think they're all MOTDC
-
She sort of reminds me of Hashimoto when she's in a regular match not the Matsumoto one.
-
How much footage is out there? Seems like she'd be a strong candidate if there's enough on tape.

Folks should check out the Sangre Chicana vs El Satanico 9/24/83 match. It is a title match with lots of gritty submissions and dramatic facial expressions. That it comes literally a day after the MS-1 match is remarkable. Hahahaha I said this in the last project. lolol. LInk still works.

I believe OJ found out that Chicana once said the Aguayo match was the highlight of his career.
-
I hope somebody pulls the trigger and puts him at #1. He's a perfect pro-wrestler

Wait...WTF? Itsuki Yamazaki I can't believe she wasn't nominated in 2016. I just assumed she had been or she would've been my first nominee. Jumping Bomb Angels are one of the best tag teams of all time and she deserves a nomination based on that alone. Incredible athlete. OJ has called her the spiritual successor to Jaguar Yokota and I can totally see that, but she can show vulnerability like I've never seen from Jaguar. The Dump Matsumoto match from 8/21/86 is one of the singular holy shit babyface performances of all time. Must see match, must watch nominee. She's another one that would be a contender if we were doing a top 50 instead of a top 100. Itsuki Yamazaki was the fucking bomb. Jumping Bomb Angels vs Crush Gals (AJW - 3/20/86) Itsuki Yamazaki vs Dump Matsumoto (AJW - 8/21/86) Itsuki Yamazaki vs Devil Masami (JWP - 8/30/91)

I wish Brock had become a huge Shinobu Kandori fan in like 2002 and just wrestled like her.

Ishikawa does strike me as a stealth #1 contender if you're someone who has really immersed themselves in the style and followed his career. He was one of those guys who wasn't fully formed right away but was GOOD right away, got great and then stayed great forever. What do people think are his peak years?

I added a few matches to the Match Recommendation Google Doc linked here https://forums.prowrestlingonly.com/topic/52874-links/ The 9/86 match against Ron Starr is another must see Invader 1 performance. That was the match that really convinced me I was watching an all time great wrestler and then the Al Perez match was the sweetest icing possible on that cake. I saw your comments about Perro Aguayo in that thread, and when I first watched Invader 1 the folks I thought of were Sangre Chicana and Perro Aguayo. More so Chicana, but that's the family Invader 1 is in.

Man I fucking LOVE the Baba matches. I'm someone who thinks Baba is like a top 20 all time candidate, and the Fritz matches might be my favorite. What other Fritz should I watch

Yukari Ohmori The forgotten star from mid 80s AJW. Really awesome worker who could brawl with Dump Matsumoto and work title matches with Chigusa. Belongs in the same ring with the other all time greats from 80s AJW. Could keep up with the super pace, but also able to slow the pace down and let things sink in. The only person other than Dump who could slow down Lioness. Yukari Ohmori vs Dump Matsumoto 3/20/86 Yukari Ohmori vs Chigusa Nagayo 6/22/86 Yukari Ohmori vs Lioness Asuka 4/15/87

Kobashi is actually a pretty good point of comparison as far as someone who had great physical gifts and legendary work ethic, got it right away, was awesome right away, could do literally everything in the ring and kept working harder than everyone else even after they became a star.

One of the best wrestlers of all time. Good from the very beginning, great until the very end. Exceled at every role be it youngster corrupted by Dump, The Ace, or the Former Legend. Awesome in classic title matches. One of the best brawlers ever. Best working monster ever (Sorry Vader sorry Aja). Had two of the iconic finishers of her era (Top rope Legdrop & Top Rope Somersault Legdrop). Best look in wrestling history aside from only Andre who had a biological advantage (for wrestling not for life). A wrestler I couldn't imagine someone not liking if they watched her. Watch her against Aja, Kyoko, Hokuto, Kandori, Devil, really just watch all of her matches. Who was cooler than Bull Nakano? Nobody.
-
Maybe the under the radar top 10 all time Joshi contender just based on no comments so far. When I think of Devil, I think of one of the great faces in wrestling history. She was so expressive. Doesnt take a backseat to Jaguar or Chigusa or any other wrestler in my mind. The 93 match against Bull Nakano is one of the great performances (from both women) of the decade.
-
Top 10 sounds reasonable to me. Another one of those folks who just got it.
-
OH RIGHT THAT ONE TOO! Hahahaha. Goddamn.

Monster Ripper Deserves a nomination and a re-evaluation. She's an awesome heel and knows how to use her size well. The Jaguar match is a revelation. Good athlete when she was younger and could really bump for someone her size. I'd really like to watch everything out there in her prime. She had World Class opposition and looks more than capable of holding her own. The Jaguar match isn't a carry job but two wrestlers working beautifully together. vs Jackie Sato 3/15/80 vs Jaguar Yokota 1982 vs Devil Masami 11/83 Chain Match
-
I dunno about you all, but I'm still reeling from that gorilla press into a backbreaker.

One thing that always stands out when I watch Jaguar, is she FEELS like the GOAT. Like when I watch a Jaguar match the idea of someone being better than her seems silly. Her case is just so clear you just gotta watch it
