  1. Brody was at his best as a babyface I agree with JS but he still wasn't very good. The thing with Dave is I wonder how much of his love for him is the fact that he was one of his early wrestling sources. You gotta remember being tight with Matysik got him inside with Brody and it's not strange for a journalist to put his personal favorites over even when they don't really deserve it.
  2. I'm with Dylan in that this should be renamed The Funker Award. Who is the Best Funker sounds great
  3. Just saw this on Facebook and this is awesome.
  4. Poor Abby.....Brody got all the glory as Abby made him what he was. Without Abby, Brody isn't Brody.
  5. Brody has his moments but a good 95% of his matches were the drizzling shits.
  6. All of them were great to be a part of although I wasn't part of New Japan in the decision process but I'll go with Mid-South mainly because we had so much good footage from OKC & Tulsa that had never really been seen before plus 1986 UWF is one of my favorite years of any promotion ever.
  7. Super Luchas reported today that Antonio Inoki has converted to Islam and has changed his name to Mohammad Hussein.......wow
  8. I also agree on Jarrett in that he was so awesome in Memphis but after that he relied too much on gimmick although I did like him when he came back to WCW in 1999 for a while before he was oversaturated.
  9. Rise of nWo = end of Flair as a high end guy.
  10. Sabu's stubbornness regarding fixing botched spots could trainwreck matches. Also I can't believe I didn't name this guy earlier but Mike Quackenbush has always been high on my list mainly because of how important he thought he was.
  11. There is a blurb in the 2nd WON of the week
  12. Sabu when he is on is great but that wasn't a whole lot and yes he could be one of the most frustrating guys to watch.
  13. Flair grew his hair back out when he went to WWF and some strong matches there and then when he went back to WCW from 93-94 he had some strong matches but the cut in 95 happened and the quality trended down except on rare occasions. His series with Savage probably produced his best matches of that era.
  14. Edge had his moments but overall I really didn't care for him especially related to his push. I liked him better with Christian in that era for sure. How in the hell has Shane Douglas' name not shown up here. His forever seeming ECW title run was rough to watch when doing the ECW set.
  15. I have no problem with the 619 because it's Rey's signature spot these days but when every single tecnico in EMLL was using it for a while there then it became tedious.
  16. The thing about wrestling is some guys get better the older they get as they change their style to adapt to their age where when they were younger they were able to do more athletic moves but when they lose a step they must go with a more psychological style to have a good match. Some guys didn't adapt and kept trying to be young and they can't do much either physically or psychologically.
  17. Jumbo & Tenryu were both great when they were teammates but to me they hit their strides after they broke up and both became basically the same character as they were pissed off guys in the 30's who wanted to beat everyone's ass especially each other. I watched all the AJPW stuff for the set and Jumbo was not nearly as tedious as some of the other guys on that set such as Choshu who I love but his stuff was way too repetitive. Both men were fucking awesome period.
  18. Murdoch is right up there with Terry for me as he can do everything you want in a wrestling match as good as anyone else could. Again rarely if ever saw a match with Murdoch that didn't hook me in. Murdoch as a crazy babyface was awesome and sure he took a lot from Killer Karl Kox but he took that schtick and went 100 with it. Dick is one of the greatest ever no doubt.
  19. Foley's gone on record as a big Ambrose fan....they just didn't run with that program.
  20. Shelton & MVP are both pretty much WWE bound in 2013
  21. This is funny.

    Terry Funk

Terry was one of those rare guys that could do anything you asked him to and would be among the best in the world at everything. Face or heel, crazy or straight laced, technical or brawler, whatever he excelled at all of them. I can't think of any Terry matches that I didn't have any interest in as he could always hook you in.
  23. Ziggler as the new HBK, AJ as the new Sherri, & Big E as the new Diesel has some potential
