One of the biggest mysteries in WWF history is finally about to be solved. For months, the World Wrestling Federation has been searching for answers following the shocking attack on Jake "The Snake" Roberts. What began as a brutal assault has completely changed the landscape of the WWF. The attack left Roberts with severe injuries and doctors fearing he may never fully recover his eyesight. Since that night, rumors have run wild throughout the locker room as wrestlers, managers, and fans alike have tried to uncover the identity of the man responsible. Now, after conducting a lengthy investigation and reviewing every lead available, WWF President Jack Tunney believes he finally has the answer. At Saturday Night's Main Event, Tunney will make a special appearance on The Barbershop with Brutus Beefcake to reveal the identity of the individual responsible for the attack on Jake Roberts once and for all. Tunney has remained tight-lipped regarding the details, only stating that the evidence is conclusive and that the truth can no longer remain hidden. The announcement is expected to send shockwaves throughout the WWF, especially considering the growing speculation surrounding several prominent names over the past few months. With careers, reputations, and possibly even championships hanging in the balance, nobody knows exactly what to expect when Tunney finally reveals the truth. After months of questions, accusations, and uncertainty, the wait is finally over. At Saturday Night's Main Event, the man who attacked Jake Roberts will be revealed.

The WWF Tag Team Championship picture has been turned upside down over the past month. After spending months living in the shadow of Jimmy Hart's First Family, Slick finally got the breakthrough he had been searching for when Power and Glory defeated The Nasty Boys on the June 1st edition of Monday Night Raw to capture the WWF Tag Team Championships. The victory marked the biggest moment in the careers of Hercules and Paul Roma, while also giving Slick something he had wanted for a long time: championship gold. Since winning the titles, the champions have spent every week reminding the WWF that they are the new kings of the tag team division, boasting that they accomplished what no other team could by ending the reign of The Nasty Boys. However, the celebration didn't sit well with everyone. Over the last couple months, The Warlord has found himself locked in a bitter war with Slick's Army. After severing ties with Slick earlier in the year, Warlord quickly became a target for his former manager and his collection of hired guns. The numbers game repeatedly worked against Warlord until an unlikely ally emerged in the form of Junkyard Dog. Seeing Slick's Army constantly stacking the deck against his opponents, JYD stepped in and declared that he wanted to "take a bite outta Slick." What started as a simple act of loyalty quickly developed into a dangerous partnership as Warlord and Junkyard Dog began fighting side by side against Power and Glory, Dan Spivey, and the rest of Slick's forces. The rivalry reached a new level when the challengers began picking up victories on Raw. Despite Power and Glory's constant bragging, they struggled to put away the powerful duo of Warlord and Junkyard Dog. Several matches and confrontations ended in wild brawls that spilled all over the arena, forcing officials to intervene before things got completely out of control. Slick repeatedly claimed that Warlord was jealous of the success he found after leaving him behind, while Junkyard Dog fired back by accusing Slick of hiding behind his men whenever a fight broke out. With tensions continuing to rise, Jack Tunney finally made the match official for Saturday Night's Main Event. Now the WWF Tag Team Championships will be on the line as Power and Glory attempt to prove that their title victory was no fluke against one of the most physically imposing teams in the entire company. For the champions, this is an opportunity to cement their place at the top of the division. For Warlord and Junkyard Dog, it is a chance to humble Slick once and for all while bringing championship gold into their camp. With bad blood, personal history, and the WWF Tag Team Championships all at stake, this showdown has all the ingredients to become one of the biggest matches of the summer.

The road to Saturday Night's Main Event has become increasingly chaotic as the WWF Championship picture continues to spiral out of control. It all began at King of the Ring, when Terry Funk returned to the WWF as the Special Guest Ring Enforcer for Tito Santana's title defense against Jerry "The King" Lawler. Throughout the match, Funk repeatedly prevented Lawler and The Genius from stealing the championship through underhanded tactics, ultimately helping ensure that Tito Santana left with the WWF Championship still around his waist. Since that night, Lawler has become obsessed with Terry Funk, blaming the unpredictable Texan for costing him the biggest opportunity of his career. Week after week, Lawler has verbally attacked Funk, interrupted interviews, mocked his recent change in attitude, and promised revenge on the man he claims robbed him of the WWF Championship. As tensions continued to rise, Jack Tunney shocked the WWF by announcing that Terry Funk had earned a championship opportunity of his own. While both men have maintained a level of mutual respect, the situation has become increasingly complicated. Tito Santana appreciates what Funk did at King of the Ring, but he also understands that Funk is now standing between him and another successful title defense. Meanwhile, Funk insists that he has no choice but to chase the championship because opportunities like this do not come along every day. Adding even more fuel to the fire is Ric Flair. Ever since his victory at King of the Ring, Flair has made it clear that the WWF Championship remains his ultimate goal. Over the last month, Flair has repeatedly inserted himself into the championship conversation, taking shots at both Santana and Funk while reminding everyone that he believes neither man belongs in the same conversation as the Nature Boy. Flair will now have a front row seat as the Special Guest Commentator, but few believe he is simply showing up to call the action. Many suspect Flair is scouting his future opponent, and some wonder if the Nature Boy can resist involving himself if things begin to go sideways. Then there is Jerry Lawler. The King has made it clear that he has no intention of quietly disappearing from the championship picture. Despite losing at King of the Ring, Lawler continues to insist that the WWF Championship should belong to him and has repeatedly vowed to make both Tito Santana and Terry Funk pay for humiliating him. With Lawler's history of interference and Flair's constant presence around the championship scene, Jack Tunney felt he had no choice but to bring in outside help. That help comes in the form of The Terminator, who has been appointed Special Guest Enforcer for the match. His job is simple: keep Ric Flair, Jerry Lawler, The Genius, and anyone else from turning the WWF Championship match into another circus. Whether even The Terminator can maintain order remains to be seen. What started as a respectful championship challenge has quickly evolved into one of the most unpredictable main events in recent WWF history. Tito Santana must defend the title against a dangerous challenger in Terry Funk. Ric Flair will be watching every move from the commentary desk. Jerry Lawler is lurking somewhere in the background looking for revenge. And standing in the middle of the chaos is The Terminator, charged with keeping the peace. One way or another, the WWF Championship picture is guaranteed to look very different by the time Saturday Night's Main Event comes to an end.

What's the rule on the use of celebrities? We are coming up on the release of Terminator 2 in this timeline, and I wanted to use Arnold as a special appearance for an upcoming show. Can I use him? Or do I have to announce his signing, or is it just free rein for their use?

Okay, so I fell a little bit behind, but let's get all this caught up. Monday Night Raw 05/18/1991 The Titan defeated Dan Spivey with Slick to retain the WWF Television Championship The Ronin and Z-Man with Gary Hart won a six-man tag match Dynamite Kid defeated Tom Brandi Andre the Giant destroyed four men. He still wants answers Mean Gene does a King of the Ring report (Promos from competitors of the tournament.) The Warlord and Junkyard Dog challenge Power and Glory to a match at SNME in June Tito Santana defeated The Genius In a surprising moment. Jake "The Snake" Roberts shows up via satellite for a promo. The camera opens in a dark room with only a single lamp glowing beside a chair. Jake Roberts sits motionless, wearing dark sunglasses, his eyes still heavily damaged from the attack. Damien rests quietly across his shoulders as Jake slowly tilts his head toward the camera.] Jake Roberts: You know...people spend their whole lives afraid of the dark. Funny thing is...I spent my whole life living in it. He slowly rubs his fingers together. Jake Roberts: I made a career outta fear. I poisoned minds. I twisted people up inside. I made enemies because that’s what Jake the Snake does. I told myself it was all part of the game. Mind games. Psychological warfare. Survival. But then one night...somebody took my eyes away from me. Jake lowers his head. Jake Roberts: And when all you've got left is darkness...you start hearing things clearer than you ever did before. I heard doctors whispering about whether I’d ever see again. I heard fans praying for me. I heard people I hurt over the years saying maybe I finally got what was coming to me. Maybe they’re right. Maybe I brought too much chaos into the WWF. Maybe I pushed too many people too far. Maybe I became so obsessed with fear...that eventually fear came looking for me. Jake tightens his grip on Damien. Jake Roberts: But let me tell you something about being blind. When you lose your sight...you stop seeing distractions. You stop seeing fame. Money. Gold. You stop seeing the lies people hide behind. Now I see people for exactly what they are. And whoever did this to me...you made one mistake. He slowly removes the sunglasses just enough to reveal his damaged eyes underneath before lowering them again. Jake Roberts: You left me alive. I don’t need eyes to find you. Trust Me! The screen slowly fades to black.

Who attacked Jake "The Snake' Roberts The First Clue In the weeks following the shocking attack on Jake Roberts, new information has finally surfaced regarding the mysterious masked man who blinded Roberts during his attempted confrontation with Ric Flair. As fans remember, Roberts was ambushed midway down the aisle by a masked attacker who struck him repeatedly before spraying an unknown substance directly into his eyes. Roberts collapsed immediately, screaming in pain while officials rushed to the ringside. WWF President Jack Tunney later confirmed that Roberts suffered severe damage to his vision and may never fully recover. Now, thanks to investigative work done by Mean Gene Okerlund for WWF Magazine, the first major clue in the case has been uncovered. According to sources within the arena staff, Okerlund was granted access to the backstage loading dock area shortly after the attack and noticed something overlooked during the initial chaos. Near a side exit door leading toward the parking lot, Gene reportedly discovered a strange black residue smeared along the wall beside a metal handrail. WWF officials later examined the substance and determined it appeared to be industrial boot polish mixed with dirt and oil. While that alone may not seem significant, arena security also confirmed that muddy footprints were found leading away from the building shortly after the attack. Several employees claimed the prints appeared unusually heavy, almost as if whoever left them was wearing thick work boots rather than standard wrestling footwear. Perhaps the most interesting detail is that one footprint reportedly showed a slight drag pattern near the heel of the left boot. WWF officials have not publicly identified any suspects, although several names continue circulating privately within the locker room. Ric Flair has denied any involvement, while Jimmy Hart dismissed the entire investigation as “wild speculation.” Still, the discovery has intensified the mystery surrounding the attack, and according to Okerlund, the WWF may be closer than ever to identifying the masked man responsible for taking Jake Roberts out of action.

05/11/1991 Manhattan Center – New York City The show opens with a serious tone, as footage of the mysterious attack on Jake “The Snake” Roberts from the previous week is replayed. The camera cuts live to the ring where WWF President Jack Tunney stands alone with a microphone as the crowd murmurs. Gorilla Monsoon: “We understand Jack Tunney has an important announcement regarding Jake Roberts and the King of the Ring.” Don Callis: “This entire situation has shaken up the tournament.” Jack Tunney: “Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, I must begin tonight with troubling news concerning Jake Roberts. Following the attack last week, Jake Roberts suffered severe injuries to his eyes after being sprayed with an unknown substance by an unidentified individual.” [Tunney pauses.] Jack Tunney: “Doctors have informed the World Wrestling Federation that Jake Roberts may never regain his vision. Jake Roberts may have made enemies during his career. He may have crossed lines. But nobody deserves what happened to him. Because of these injuries, Jake Roberts has officially been removed from the King of the Ring tournament. After careful consideration, I have selected the man who will replace him in the tournament…” [Short pause.] Jack Tunney: “Nailz.” Don Callis: “That changes the entire tournament, Gorilla.” Before Tunney can continue, Jerry “The King” Lawler’s music hits. Lawler storms out with The Genius beside him, already laughing as they walk to the ring. Jerry Lawler: “Oh, this is great! This is absolutely great!” [Lawler steps into the ring, shaking his head.] Jerry Lawler: “Jack Tunney, every week you come out here acting important, making announcements nobody cares about, but you still haven’t handled the one thing that matters!” [He points toward himself.] Jerry Lawler: “The WWF Championship! Tito Santana is hurt, Tito Santana is weak, and at King of the Ring I’m taking that title anyway, so why don’t you just hand it over right now and save everybody the trouble?!” The Genius: “A brilliant suggestion from a brilliant King!” Suddenly, the crowd erupts Tito Santana charges to the ring. Tito tackles Lawler instantly and starts unloading with right hands as the crowd explodes. The Genius tries pulling Tito off, but Tito shoves him away and keeps after Lawler. The fight spills into the corner before Lawler and The Genius finally get the advantage, double-teaming Tito and stomping him down. Gorilla Monsoon: “Come on! This is two on one!” Lawler grabs the WWF Championship and holds it up mockingly before WWE: Road To Texas (Terry Funk) By Jim Johnston + Custom Cover And D/Link The Manhattan Center ERUPTS. Terry Funk Storms to the ring, swinging wildly, throwing punches at Lawler and The Genius, backing both men out of the ring immediately. Lawler stumbles up the aisle screaming, while Funk stands in the ring, breathing heavily. The crowd roars as Tito slowly rises, clutching the championship. Tito and Funk lock eyes in a tense staredown, the WrestleMania history between them hanging in the air. Finally, Tito nods once and slowly backs away with the championship over his shoulder. Funk asks for a microphone. Terry Funk: “WHOA WHOA WHOA, WAIT JUST A SECOND!” [Funk is pacing now, wild eyes, hair a mess already, gripping the microphone tight.] Terry Funk: “You people know me! You KNOW Terry Funk! I’ve been crazy! I’ve been violent! I’ve fought all over the world and half the time I didn’t even know WHY I was fightin’! And that’s the truth. I stepped away from this business for a little while because I had to look at myself… really LOOK at myself…” [Funk points toward an imaginary mirror.] Terry Funk: “And I looked in that mirror and saw a man that was angry… mean… outta control…AND I DIDN’T LIKE HIM! I didn’t like the man starin’ back at me and that scared me more than any match I’ve ever been in!” [Funk starts pacing again.] Terry Funk: “Then Jack Tunney called me up… and he asked me if Terry Funk would come back to the World Wrestling Federation…” [He points to himself.] Terry Funk: “Not to wrestle… not to fight… but to keep ORDER!” [Funk starts laughing wildly.] Terry Funk: “Can you believe that?! Terry Funk… keepin’ order?! But I told Jack Tunney yes sir, I’ll do it! Because at King of the Ring, I’m gonna be the special guest ring enforcer! And Jerry Lawler… you listen to me, you greasy little weasel…” [Funk points up the aisle furiously.] Terry Funk: “You try any funny business… any cheap shots… any of that Memphis garbage…” [Funk slaps his own chest.] Terry Funk: “And I swear on my life, I will beat you up all over that arena! This thing is gonna be called right down the middle because Terry Funk finally wants to do somethin’ RIGHT for once in his life!” [Funk’s eyes go wide as he leans over the ropes.] Terry Funk: “And if you don’t like it, Burger King…” [Wild grin.] Terry Funk: “…TOUGH!” The Titan retains his TV Title against Bryan Clarke. After the match Dan Spivey attacks Titan! This leads to a match next week between The Titan and Dan Spivey Bob Backlund cuts a promo about leading Nailz to winning The King of the Ring The Ronin and The Z-Man get back in the winning column by beating up The Bushwhackers and Billy Jack Haynes A match between The Russian Pitbulls and Killer Bees gets interrupted by a pissed off ANDRE THE GIANT! He charges into the ring beats up all four men and DEMANDS ANSWERS! WHO ATTACKED JAKE!!!!! Officials are finally able to get Andre to the back but not without Andre screaming for ANSWERS!!! Ric Flair cuts a promo about not knowing anything about Jake Roberts being attacked, but says he doesn't feel sorry because Jake played with fire and got burnt The Taylor Made Man stays in the winning column when he pays off Disco Inferno to lay down and take the loss. Power and Glory and The Warlord/JYD go to a No Contest as they just brawl throughout the whole match. Tatanka/Dynamite Kid each cut a promo about winning The King of the Ring Jimmy Snuka is able to win the Battle Royal and will challenge Earthquake for the IC Championship. OOC: Hey guys, I’ve come down with a pretty bad case of the flu, and my kids are sick too. On top of that, it’s finals week at my university, so I’ve got a lot going on right now. I’m going to keep this week’s Raw a bit lighter and just post quick results, but trust me, there are still some big things happening. 05/04/1991 Manhattan Center – New York City The Titan picked up another strong win, defeating Manny Fernandez to retain the WWF Television Championship. He’s starting to look more and more comfortable as champion, and right now nobody has been able to slow him down. Dan Spivey showed up at the end and made a motion for the title. These two are on a collision course. Nailz, with Bob Backlund in his corner, continued to build momentum with another victory. Backlund’s influence is clearly changing Nailz, but there’s still that edge there that makes him dangerous every time he steps in the ring. Tatanka and Dynamite Kid teamed up for an impressive win over The Ronin with Gary Hart. It was a big result, especially with The King of the Ring coming up, and it definitely shifts some attention toward both Tatanka and Dynamite Kid. The Taylor Made Man kept things very calculated, paying off Bryan Clarke to take a countout loss. It wasn’t flashy, but it told you everything you need to know about him. He’s not here to fight fair, he’s here to win by any means necessary. Outside of the matches, things continue to heat up between Slick’s Army and the group of Warlord, Junkyard Dog, and Akeem. This situation is far from over and feels like it’s only getting bigger each week. Jerry “The King” Lawler once again went after WWF Champion Tito Santana, continuing to run him down and claim he deserves the title after what he did to him. That brought out WWF President Jack Tunney, who was clearly fed up. Tunney announced that at King of the Ring, there will be a special guest ring enforcer for the match. Lawler laughed it off, but Tunney made it clear he won’t be laughing next week when the name is revealed. It was also announced that next week there will be a Battle Royal, with the winner earning a shot at Earthquake’s Intercontinental Championship at King of the Ring, which should make for a huge episode. The show ended with a wild and unexpected moment. Ric Flair came out and demanded Jake Roberts face him, but as Jake made his way to the ring, everything changed. A man dressed completely in black appeared out of nowhere and sprayed something directly into Jake’s face. Jake dropped immediately, writhing in pain, while Andre rushed out to help him, and officials tried to get control of the situation. Ric Flair stayed in the ring watching the whole thing unfold, and for once, he looked just as confused as everyone else. The attacker disappeared just as quickly as he showed up, leaving behind a lot of questions and a situation that just got a whole lot more dangerous. Raw closes with Jake on the entrance ramp, Andre screaming "HELP!" Ric Flair instantly having Jack Tunney in his face screaming "WHAT DID YOU DO!" Flair is pleading ignorance. Raw closes with the biggest question of all. WHO ATTACKED Jake "The Snake" Roberts

Nepotism hire. Who cares happens everyday in every company across the planet. She isn’t the first and she for sure won’t be the last. Not even worth getting upset about. Now if she comes out in MAGA gear and preaches about not vaccinating then we can complain until then it’s whatever. As for the supernatural characters. That story has already been debunked as BS from Dave and others. Black, Wyatt’s were released because they did everything WWE felt they were going to do and their age was a factor as well. Which makes sense. All are pretty older talents and are probably making higher scale contracts. The biggest winner though is Apollo Crews. How he lasted till 2026 on the main roster and making main roster money. Good for him.
-
Imagine being a foreigner living in America for the first time in 2026. That might be the worst thing to happen to someone. I don’t blame anyone for going to nxt first then. It’s a complete culture shock and let’s be honest unless you’re someone that’s got a legacy or name already built. You are not getting on top on the main roster anyways. We know main roster money is different but still. I would rather go to nxt as well and live in Florida where the weather is amazing then travel this horrible country on my own dime in 2026.
-
I just want to see what this Will Kroos dude does in nxt. Cause the chant the fans do for him is pretty funny and the dude does some impressive moves for a dude his size he’s big, he’s bad, he will body slam your dad. That’s probably one my favorite chants I’ve heard in a while.

There is growing backstage talk about Don Callis after an injury suffered at a recent house show. According to multiple sources, the injury occurred during a match against former WWF Superstar The Ultimate Warrior, where Callis reportedly took an awkward bump that resulted in a back issue. While details are still limited, it’s being said that the injury is not considered career-threatening, but enough to sideline him from in-ring competition for the time being. At the same time, the WWF has quietly been searching for a younger voice to complement Gorilla Monsoon on commentary for the long term. There had been internal discussions about reaching out to other promotions to find someone who could grow into that role over the next few years. However, those plans appear to have changed very quickly. Word is that Vince McMahon personally heard Callis during a commentary tryout session and was immediately impressed. Sources say Vince “fell in love” with Callis’ delivery and presence, to the point where there is now little interest in rushing him back into the ring. Instead, the current belief is that Callis could be groomed as a regular voice on television moving forward. As for Callis himself, the situation is said to be mixed. On one hand, there is a feeling that he still has something to offer inside the ring, but on the other, the opportunity to be on television weekly in a high-profile role is something he understands is difficult to pass up. For now, it appears he is embracing the opportunity. Callis is expected to be part of the debut era of Monday Night Raw, working alongside Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes as part of the broadcast team, signaling a potential long-term shift in his role within the company. OOC: Hopefully, you guys don’t mind me going in this direction. That’s honestly part of the fun with this kind of booking, taking guys and letting their careers play out a little differently. I wanted to explain the thinking behind it. I was watching some early 90s WWF and really enjoyed the Johnny Polo character, which we all know eventually leads to Raven. While I was figuring out my commentary team, it just clicked. Why not use Don Callis in a similar role? He isn't going to be Johnny Polo or The Jackyl, but I will find something for him.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. I’ve had some personal issues come up that delayed the return episode of Monday Night Raw, but I’ll have it up very soon.
