Triple H: "Look at you, Dusty. Once the ‘American Dream,’ now just another suit. You can hype this show all you want, but tonight isn’t about WCW—it’s about power, and we both know the nWo holds all of it." Dusty stands, stepping toward Triple H, eyes locked. Dusty Rhodes: "You might think you got power with the nWo, boy, but power can slip through your fingers real quick. You go out there and do your thing with Dustin, but don’t forget—this is still my house. And I’ve seen men like you come and go." Triple H: "We’ll see about that. Tonight, when I leave Dustin in the dust, you’ll know who’s running things around here." Triple H smirks and turns to leave. Dusty watches him go, a fire in his eyes. WCW Tag Team Title Match The Steiner Brothers© vs KroniK The atmosphere in the arena is tense as The Steiner Brothers, the reigning WCW Tag Team Champions, make their way to the ring, ready to defend their titles against the powerhouse team of KroniK—Brian Adams and Bryan Clarke. Both teams are known for their incredible strength, and the crowd is buzzing, anticipating a hard-hitting, physical battle. From the opening bell, it’s clear this match is going to be a brutal slugfest. Rick Steiner starts against Bryan Clarke, and the two immediately engage in a test of strength. Winners and Still WCW Tag Team Champions: The Steiner Brothers The unexpected happens as the Steiners celebrate their hard-fought victory, hoisting the titles high to the crowd's cheers. The arena lights flicker, and unsettling carnival music fills the air. Out of nowhere, Doink the Clown makes his shocking WCW debut, emerging from the entrance ramp with a sinister smile painted across his face. The Steiners, confused by Doink’s appearance, turn their attention toward the entrance. The distraction proves costly, as Mortis and Hugh Morris, who have been lurking in the shadows, suddenly storm the ring and attack from behind. Mortis and Hugh Morris ambush both Scott and Rick, delivering vicious strikes to the already-exhausted champions. Doink, watching from the ramp, laughs maniacally as Mortis and Hugh Morris lay out the Steiner Brothers with a brutal assault, leaving them battered in the middle of the ring. The crowd is left stunned, wondering what this bizarre alliance could mean for the future of WCW’s tag team division.} The camera opens to the Hart Foundation—Bret Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart, and Test—standing in front of a WCW backdrop. All four men are dressed for business, carrying themselves with quiet intensity. The crowd roars at the sight of the group on the big screen, firmly behind these WCW fan favorites. Bret Hart steps to the front, holding a microphone, the determined expression on his face setting the tone. Bret Hart: "Tonight at Halloween Havoc, it’s about pride, it’s about legacy, and it’s about doing what we came here to do: fight for what’s right and remind everyone what real wrestling looks like. Me and the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, are stepping into the ring against two men who’ve made it their mission to hold WCW hostage—Ric Flair and Arn Anderson. Two guys who’ve spent more time trying to keep their legacy intact than earning it the right way." Bret adjusts his leather jacket as Davey Boy, standing beside him, nods in agreement, arms crossed in defiance. Bret Hart: "Ric Flair—you’ve tried everything to stop me. You couldn’t stand the thought of someone coming in and proving that you’re not the man you think you are. You see, Flair, we didn’t come to WCW to play politics or stroke egos—we came here to show that the Hart Foundation is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. And tonight, Davey and I are going to finish what you started." Davey Boy steps forward, a scowl etched across his face. Davey Boy Smith: "Arn Anderson, you’re comin’ out of retirement just to try and prove that you’ve still got it. But let me tell you something—when you step in that ring with me, you’re gonna wish you stayed out of it. You and Flair are relics of the past, and tonight, we’re gonna show you that the future belongs to the Hart Foundation." Owen Hart, visibly pumped for his match, steps to the mic next, his energy brimming. Owen Hart: "And I’ve got a little business of my own to take care of. Curt Hennig and Jeff Jarrett? You two better be ready, ‘cause I’m not just coming for the win—I’m coming for that US Title! The Hart Foundation’s walking out of here with gold tonight, and if you two nWo and Horsemen clowns think you’re gonna stop me, you’ve got another thing coming!" Test, the powerhouse of the group, claps a hand on Owen’s shoulder, hyping him up further as the team’s energy builds. Bret Hart steps back in, calm and collected, but his voice carries a sharper edge. Bret Hart: "Flair, once I’m done with you tonight—and believe me, I will be done with you—I’ve got my sights set on something bigger. You see, I didn’t come to WCW just to wrestle. I came here to be the World Heavyweight Champion. So Hogan, DDP, whoever walks out of tonight’s main event with that title... know this: once I finish with Ric Flair and his Four Horsemen, I’m coming for the WCW World Title. And when I get my shot, it’s not a matter of if—I will become the champion." Bret lowers the microphone as the camera zooms in on his determined expression, the intensity radiating from him and his team. Bret Hart: "The Hart Foundation isn’t just here to play the game. We’re here to win." Singles Match Dustin Rhodes vs Triple H The crowd is electric as Dustin Rhodes makes his way to the ring, his eyes focused, his mind set on teaching Triple H a lesson for betraying WCW and aligning with the nWo. The fans rally behind Dustin, eager to see him take down one of the newest and most dangerous members of the faction. Moments later, the arena fills with boos as Triple H makes his entrance, his smug demeanor oozing arrogance. Clad in leather and flanked by the aura of nWo corruption, Triple H knows he’s walking into hostile territory, but he thrives on it. The bell rings, and both men circle each other, the tension palpable. They lock up, and it’s immediately clear this is going to be a physical, intense contest. Dustin shoves Triple H back into the corner, showing that he’s not intimidated. Triple H smirks, brushing off the show of strength, and the two men go at it again. He targets Dustin’s arm, slamming it against the turnbuckle and locking in an armbar to weaken his opponent. The match grinds into a methodical pace as Triple H, with precision, continues to wear Dustin down with submission holds and suplexes, keeping the veteran grounded. With the crowd roaring, Dustin builds momentum, hitting Triple H with a flurry of jabs, followed by his signature Bionic Elbow, sending the nWo member staggering into the ropes. Dustin sets Triple H up for a piledriver, but Triple H reverses it into a back-body drop. Both men are now exhausted, but Dustin stays one step ahead, nailing a running lariat and signaling for the Curtain Call. Just as Dustin sets Triple H up, Jake “The Snake” Roberts acting as the nWo’s strategist—appears on the apron, yelling at the referee. The crowd erupts in boos as the official turns his attention to Roberts, allowing Triple H to escape the Curtain Call with a low blow, unseen by the referee. With Dustin writhing in pain, the tide turns sharply. Triple H shakes off the damage and lifts Dustin, setting him up. Triple H stands tall in the center of the ring, arms raised in victory, sending a clear message to WCW: The nWo’s grip on the company is tightening, and not even the heart of a warrior like Dustin Rhodes can stop it. Roberts, still grinning, walks up the ramp with Triple H, knowing their mission for the night has been accomplished. The camera cuts backstage to the victorious Four Horsemen, each man exuding confidence. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Jeff Jarrett, Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko stand together, the energy electric after Benoit’s earlier win over Disco Inferno for the WCW TV Title. Benoit holds the newly won title over his shoulder, his cold eyes glaring into the camera as the group stands united. Ric Flair: "Whoooo! Halloween Havoc is the night where the Horsemen prove—yet again—that we run this business! And look right here! The new WCW TV Champion, the man they call the Crippler, Chris Benoit! No jokes, no gimmicks—just the best wrestler in the world showing exactly why the TV Title belongs with the Horsemen!" Chris Benoit: "Disco Inferno thought he could dance his way past me, but I made sure he didn’t walk out with anything but regret. I told you I wasn’t here to play around. Now, I’ve got this TV Title, and believe me when I say it—this is just the beginning. Anyone who steps in that ring with me is getting broken." Benoit stares into the camera with a stone-cold expression, clutching the TV Title tight. Jeff Jarrett steps forward, adjusting his championship belt over his shoulder with a cocky smirk. Jeff Jarrett: "And now it’s my turn. Owen Hart, Curt Hennig—you boys are stepping into the wrong ring tonight. This US Title isn’t goin’ anywhere. I don’t care if you’re riding with the nWo or the Hart Foundation, you’re both in for a rough night because the Horsemen? We don’t lose. We thrive under pressure." Dean Malenko, calm and methodical, chimes in next. Dean Malenko: "Tonight’s not just another night—it’s a reminder. A reminder to everyone in that locker room that the Horsemen don’t just survive. We dominate." Arn Anderson, with a quiet but intimidating tone, speaks up. Arn Anderson: "Bret Hart, Davey Boy Smith—you brought this fight on yourselves. And tonight, when Flair and I step into that ring, we’re gonna finish what you started. The Horsemen don’t forget, and we sure as hell don’t forgive." Ric Flair takes center stage, his signature grin widening as he works the camera. Ric Flair: "Bret Hart—you’re a great wrestler, but you picked the wrong fight. Tonight, me and Double-A are gonna remind you and Davey Boy exactly why the Four Horsemen run this place! And when the dust settles, Bret, you can take your loss like a man. Because once we’re done with you, you better be ready to step aside. This is Horsemen territory, pal—always has been, always will be! Whoooo!" Flair pauses, smirking before dropping his final line. Ric Flair: "And if you think you’re headin’ for the World Title after tonight, Bret? Think again. That title belongs with the Horsemen." The Horsemen flash their signature four-finger pose, the confidence radiating off each man. Malenko showcases his ground-game mastery, working over Jericho's arm and neutralizing his speed advantage. Jericho, known for his flashy offense, counters with a springboard dropkick, knocking Malenko to the outside. Jericho gloats, yelling, “I’m the best in the world!” The crowd boos as Jericho showboats, but his arrogance soon backfires. As he tries a springboard plancha, Malenko sidesteps, and Jericho crashes to the mat hard. The “Man of 1,000 Holds” capitalizes, pulling Jericho into the ring and locking him in a series of submission holds, targeting the back and legs to wear him down. Jericho manages to escape a cloverleaf attempt and rallies with an enzuigiri, followed by a near-fall after a lionsault. Frustrated that he can’t put Malenko away, Jericho starts to get sloppy, berating the referee and trash-talking the fans. Malenko sees his opening and counters a back suplex attempt into a double underhook powerbomb. The crowd roars as Malenko quickly transitions into the Texas Cloverleaf, wrenching Jericho’s lower back. Jericho struggles toward the ropes, but Malenko drags him back to the center of the ring, applying even more pressure. After an agonizing few moments, Jericho has no choice but to tap out! Winner: Dean Malenko by Submission As the crowd cheers for Malenko’s hard-fought victory, Jericho rolls out of the ring, clutching his back and throwing a fit. He kicks the steel steps, yelling at the referee, “That was a fast count! I didn’t tap! This whole thing is rigged!” He grabs a steel chair, slams it against the barricade, and paces around the ringside area, throwing his arms up in frustration. “This is bull! I’m the Lionheart! I’m the future of this business!” Jericho screams as the fans boo him mercilessly. Jericho then snatches a camera from a ringside photographer and yells directly into the lens, “You’re all gonna regret this! I’m better than Malenko, better than all these idiots! You’ll see!” Before the referees can stop him, Jericho flips over the timekeeper’s table in a fit of rage. Malenko watches calmly from the ring, shaking his head, as Jericho storms backstage, throwing anything in his path, swearing revenge on Malenko and WCW. The camera cuts to the backstage area where the nWo—Hollywood Hogan, Randy Savage, Curt Hennig, Mike Awesome, Triple H, and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan—stand together, exuding arrogance and power. Hogan, with the WCW World Title draped over his shoulder, leads the charge. The group is all smiles, feeding off their victories and fully confident that tonight belongs to them. Hollywood Hogan: "Well, well, well... here we are, brothers! Halloween Havoc is nWo territory, and once again, Hollywood Hogan is standing here on top, holdin’ the WCW World Title where it belongs! DDP, you might’ve clawed your way to a shot at the gold, but tonight, brother, you’re just another name on my hit list. When I walk into that ring, I walk out the champ—like always. And if you think Luger can save you? Ha! Both of you can hit the showers when I’m done!" Hogan strokes his mustache with a grin as Randy Savage steps in, eyes wide with intensity. Randy Savage: "Ooooh yeah! DDP, last month you got lucky, brother. But tonight? Hogan’s takin’ care of business, and I’ll be there every step of the way! Luger, don’t even think about stickin’ your nose in—'cause tonight, we’re gonna bury the both of ya! Dig it?!" Curt Hennig, adjusting his leather nWo vest, leans forward with a cocky grin. Curt Hennig: "And let’s not forget about the US Title. Owen Hart, Jeff Jarrett—you two think you’ve got what it takes to run with the nWo? Jarrett, you talk about being a Horseman, but you don’t belong in the same ring as me. And Owen Hart? Better stick to playing second fiddle to big brother Bret, because after tonight, I’m walking out with that title, and neither of you can stop me." Triple H steps forward, grinning smugly, clearly pleased with his earlier victory. Triple H: "Dustin Rhodes? Consider that business handled. I told you that legacy means nothing to me, and now? I proved it. You fought, you gave it your best—but in the end, I planted you right in the middle of that ring with the Pedigree, just like I said I would. The Rhodes name is done... and I’m only just getting started." Mike Awesome cracks his knuckles, ready to unleash more destruction, while Jake “The Snake” Roberts smirks, ever the puppet master behind the nWo’s plans. He steps to the front to close things out. Jake “The Snake” Roberts: "Ladies and gentlemen, you’re looking at the future of professional wrestling. The nWo holds the power, the titles, and the company in the palm of our hands! And by the end of the night, the rest of these so-called WCW heroes will know exactly what happens when you try to stand up to us—you get crushed!" Hogan, with the World Title raised high, gives a cocky grin as the rest of the group flashes the nWo hand signal. Hollywood Hogan: "So DDP, Bret, Sting—whoever thinks they’re next in line? You better think again, brother. 'Cause tonight, the nWo is just... too sweet!" The group laughs and mugs for the camera as the promo fades to black, leaving no doubt that the nWo is riding high and ready to dominate the rest of the night at Halloween Havoc. Hennig smirks, sizing up his competition, while Owen Hart stands determined, eager to take home gold for the Hart Foundation. The three men circle the ring, tension thick in the air. Owen charges first, taking Jarrett down with a headlock takedown. Hennig immediately kicks Owen off, trying to assert himself. The early moments are a showcase of skill, with all three competitors exchanging holds, counters, and near-falls, each man trying to outsmart the others. For a brief moment, Jarrett and Hennig form an uneasy alliance, double-teaming Owen. They stomp him down in the corner, delivering brutal punches and chops as the crowd boos. The two work together, taking Owen out of the ring and turning their attention to each other. The alliance quickly dissolves, with Hennig catching Jarrett with a rolling neck snap. Hennig goes for the cover—one, two—but Jarrett kicks out. Back in the ring, Owen Hart fights his way back into the match, hitting Jarrett with a spinning heel kick and following it up with a backbreaker on Hennig. The crowd rallies behind Owen as he builds momentum, dropping both opponents with crisp dropkicks. He sends Hennig flying with a snap suplex and nails Jarrett with a crossbody from the top rope, earning a close two-count. Hennig turns the tide with a well-timed low knee to Owen’s midsection, followed by a picture-perfect snapmare and dropkick to Jarrett. Luger stands beside him, arms crossed, his expression calm but with an edge—something brewing just beneath the surface. Diamond Dallas Page: "Tonight, it’s time, baby! It’s the biggest night of my career, the biggest match of my life. I’ve clawed my way to the top, took down Savage, and now I finally get what I earned—a shot at Hollywood Hogan and that World Heavyweight Championship. This ain’t just about me, though—this is about WCW, this is about every guy in that locker room who’s had to watch the nWo run wild. Tonight, we take it back." DDP slaps Luger on the shoulder, trying to hype him up. Luger offers a small grin, but it’s restrained, his eyes flickering with something more—resentment, maybe jealousy. Lex Luger: "Yeah... you earned it, DDP. No question. But let’s not forget—when Hogan’s been running roughshod, I was one of the first to stand up to him. I’ve been fighting the nWo since day one, night after night, taking the hits. And if anyone deserves to be in that match tonight, it’s me. But... here we are." DDP notices the shift in Luger’s tone, tilting his head slightly, but stays upbeat, trying to keep things cool. Diamond Dallas Page: "Hey man, I get it. I know what you’ve been through, and I know how much you want that shot. But this isn’t about us, it’s about takin’ Hogan down. And tonight, with you in my corner, we’ve got him exactly where we want him. We do this together—Hogan falls, and WCW wins." Luger nods, but the tension lingers. He glances toward the camera, then back at DDP, his jaw tightening just slightly as if weighing his words carefully. Lex Luger: "You’re right. Tonight, it’s about Hogan... but make no mistake, DDP—when this is over, when we get that belt off Hogan, I’m coming for what I deserve. I’ve been chasing that title for a long time, and I won’t be standing in anyone’s corner for long. Not even yours." The moment is thick with tension now. DDP’s smile fades just a little, the reality of Luger’s words sinking in. For a second, they lock eyes—two allies, two competitors, both with their ambitions. Diamond Dallas Page: "I hear ya, man. But let’s take it one step at a time. First, we finish Hogan tonight. And after that? I’ll be ready for whoever’s next." They exchange a firm but tense handshake. Luger holds onto DDP’s hand a little longer than necessary, staring him down before finally letting go and walking off-camera. DDP watches him leave, a small flicker of concern crossing his face before he shakes it off, cracking his neck and focusing back on the task at hand. The camera fades out, leaving the sense that while the mission tonight is clear, the storm brewing between these two is far from over. Grudge Match Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith vs Ric Flair and Arn Anderson The air is thick with animosity as two of wrestling’s greatest dynasties clash in this heated tag team match. The Four Horsemen—Ric Flair and Arn Anderson—have been relentless in trying to derail Bret Hart’s WCW career, igniting a bitter feud with the Hart Foundation. Bret Hart and his brother-in-law, Davey Boy Smith, are determined to bring an end to The Horsemen’s reign of terror. Tonight, it's not just about winning—it's about pride, legacy, and retribution. As the bell rings, the crowd is on their feet, anticipating the carnage. Arn Anderson starts the match for the Horsemen, while Bret Hart stands across the ring, a stone-cold expression on his face. The two veterans circle each other before locking up, trading holds with precision. Anderson uses every dirty trick in the book—hair-pulling, cheap shots in the clinch, and eye rakes—to throw Bret off his game. Bret fires back with crisp technical wrestling, grounding Anderson with a hammerlock and delivering a series of stiff European uppercuts. After a slick takedown, Bret tags in Davey Boy Smith, who bursts into the ring like a freight train, leveling Anderson with a powerful shoulder block. The Horsemen take control through underhanded tactics when Ric Flair enters the fray. Flair pokes Davey Boy in the eye and lights him up with blistering chops in the corner, the sound echoing through the arena as the crowd chants, “Woo!” But Davey, fueled by pure rage, powers out, sending Flair flying with a massive military press slam. After several minutes of high-octane action, the Horsemen manage to isolate Davey Boy, cutting the ring in half. Anderson works over Davey's left leg, softening him up for the dreaded Figure-Four Leglock. Flair tags in and does just that, slapping on the hold in the middle of the ring. Davey writhes in agony but refuses to quit. The crowd rallies behind him, and with a burst of strength, Davey reverses the Figure-Four, sending Flair scrambling to tag Anderson. Just as Anderson charges, Davey lunges and makes the hot tag to Bret Hart! The crowd erupts as Bret enters, fists flying. He unloads on Anderson and Flair with sharp right hands, clotheslines, and a beautiful Russian leg sweep. Flair rolls to the outside, leaving Anderson alone to fend off a furious Bret. Hart goes on the attack, driving Anderson into the corner and smashing his sternum with a running clothesline. With the match nearing its boiling point, Davey Boy recovers and drags Flair back into the ring. As Anderson struggles to regain his footing, Flair finds himself cornered by Davey, who grabs him by the throat. Bret senses the end and locks Arn Anderson into the Sharpshooter in the center of the ring! Anderson howls in pain, his hand hovering over the mat. Flair desperately tries to break free from Davey’s grip, but the British Bulldog pins Flair’s arms behind his back, forcing him to watch helplessly. "Come on, Ric! Help me!" Anderson cries out in agony, his hand shaking violently as he fights the inevitable. Flair struggles with all his might but can't break free from Davey's iron grasp. The crowd is roaring as Bret wrenches back even harder, the intensity visible on his face. With nowhere to go, his pride shattered, and Flair powerless to intervene, Arn Anderson taps out to the Sharpshooter. Winners: Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith by Submission As the bell rings, Bret refuses to release the hold, glaring directly at Flair, making a statement. Davey finally lets go of Flair, shoving him to the mat like a discarded puppet. Anderson lies on the canvas, clutching his back in agony as Bret finally releases the Sharpshooter, standing tall over him. Flair scrambles to his fallen comrade’s side, cradling Anderson, his face twisted in disbelief and rage. He stares up at Bret and Davey with seething hatred, realizing that his attempt to humiliate the Hart Foundation has backfired spectacularly. Bret and Davey stand triumphant in the ring, with Bret staring coldly at Flair and gesturing to his waist, signaling that the World Title is next. Flair, beaten and humiliated, shouts from the floor, “This isn’t over!” But for tonight, it is. The crowd explodes in cheers as Bret and Davey leave the ring, having not just won the match but taken a piece of The Horsemen’s pride with them. The image of Anderson tapping out and Flair helplessly watching will linger long after Halloween Havoc ends. The lights dim inside the MGM Grand Arena as the crowd buzzes with excitement, knowing that the biggest match of the night is moments away. The iconic voice of Michael Buffer echoes through the arena, amplifying the tension and anticipation. Michael Buffer: "Ladies and gentlemen... it is now time for the main event of the evening!" The crowd roars as Buffer pauses, letting the energy build before continuing, his voice full of gravitas. Michael Buffer: "This contest, set for one fall, is for the WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World! Are you ready?!" The crowd responds with a deafening cheer, and Buffer smirks, knowing exactly how to work the audience. Michael Buffer: "Las Vegas, Nevada... ARE YOU READY?!" The fans erupt in thunderous cheers as Buffer raises his microphone dramatically. Michael Buffer: "Then... for the thousands in attendance... and the millions watching around the world... LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!" The crowd explodes as Buffer continues, his voice filled with intensity and precision. Michael Buffer: "Introducing first... the challenger! Accompanied to the ring by 'The Total Package' Lex Luger, he hails from the Jersey Shore, standing 6’5” and weighing in at 248 pounds… a man who has fought his way from the bottom to the top—DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE!" The arena shakes as “Smells Like Teen Spirit” hits, and DDP makes his way down the ramp, full of energy and determination, throwing up the diamond symbol as the crowd chants his name as Luger is right behind him cheering DDP on. Michael Buffer: "And now, introducing the champion... accompanied by ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, and “The Worm” Dennis Rodman representing the New World Order… standing 6’7” and weighing in at 302 pounds, he is the reigning, defending WCW World Heavyweight Champion... the one... the only... HOLLYWOOD HOGAN!" Boos fill the arena as “Voodoo Child” blasts through the speakers. Hollywood Hogan makes his slow, arrogant walk to the ring, draped in black and white, with the WCW World Title slung over his shoulder. He mocks the crowd, playing to the boos with a sly grin, knowing that the title is still firmly in the nWo’s grasp. As both competitors stand in the ring, eyes locked in a stare-down, the intensity radiates. Buffer steps forward for his final declaration, heightening the stakes. Michael Buffer: "Tonight, one man leaves as the World Champion... the other leaves with nothing. May the best man win!" With that, Buffer steps out of the ring as the referee hoists the WCW World Title high in the air, signaling the start of the most important match of the night. WCW World Title Match Hollywood Hogan© with Randy Savage vs Diamond Dallas Page with Lex Luger The crowd is buzzing as the bell rings, signaling the start of the highly anticipated main event. Hollywood Hogan, draped in arrogance, takes his time, circling Diamond Dallas Page, who stands laser-focused, knowing that this is the opportunity of a lifetime. Hogan points at DDP mockingly, but DDP brushes off the taunts, ready for a fight. DDP charges first, forcing Hogan into the corner with a flurry of punches. Hogan scrambles to the outside, frustrated with DDP’s intensity. The crowd roars as DDP motions for Hogan to get back in the ring. When Hogan finally re-enters, he takes control with dirty tactics—a rake to the eyes and a handful of hair—to slow DDP’s momentum. The first few minutes are evenly contested. DDP catches Hogan with a series of shoulder tackles and arm drags, keeping the champion off balance. Hogan, however, uses his veteran instincts, working DDP into the corner and landing heavy right hands. The early exchanges set the tone for the night—a battle of wits, endurance, and heart. Hogan and DDP brawl to the outside, and just as Hogan gains control, Randy Savage sneaks around the ring and tries to interfere. Luger spots it and cuts Savage off, tossing him into the barricade, drawing cheers from the crowd. Luger’s presence evens the odds, and with Savage neutralized, DDP throws Hogan back into the ring and lands a top-rope clothesline for a two-count. Hogan slows the pace, using underhanded tricks to regain control. He chokes DDP against the ropes and delivers a series of elbow drops, drawing boos from the crowd. Every time DDP tries to mount a comeback, Hogan shuts him down with vicious strikes and holds, frustrating both DDP and the fans. Hogan drops the leg for the first time, going for a pin—One… Two… but DDP kicks out! Hogan slams the mat in frustration, sensing that DDP won’t go down easily. As Hogan taunts the crowd, DDP seizes the moment. He ducks a clothesline and lands a spinning discus punch, knocking Hogan to the mat. The crowd explodes as DDP finally gains the upper hand, delivering clotheslines and a Pancake Piledriver for another near-fall. DDP signals for the Diamond Cutter, and the crowd is on their feet. Hogan, sensing the end is near, backs into the corner, begging off. But DDP pulls him to his feet and delivers a snap suplex, followed by a running bulldog. Hogan staggers to his feet, and DDP catches him with a Samoan Drop! 1…..2….Hogan kicks out at the last second! The end seems inevitable as DDP catches Hogan staggering toward him. With the crowd in a frenzy, DDP hits the Diamond Cutter in the middle of the ring! The crowd erupts as DDP goes for the cover—One… Two…—but just before the referee’s hand hits the mat for three, Lex Luger pulls the referee out of the ring! The crowd gasps in disbelief as the referee is yanked to the floor. DDP sits up, stunned, realizing what just happened. He looks toward Luger, confused, as the fans boo loudly. Luger climbs back into the ring, and DDP stands, asking his friend what’s going on. Without hesitation, Luger blasts DDP with a clothesline! The crowd erupts in boos as DDP crumples to the mat. Luger smirks as he picks up DDP and locks on The Torture Rack! Luger has just knocked out DDP with the Rack! The fans are going CRAZY! They are throwing trash as Luger senses DDP is laid out! Luger drops DDP in the middle of the ring and wakes up Hogan who is now all smiles. He does the “Too Sweet” to Luger! Hogan is up to his feet and LEGDROP OF DOOM! Hogan puts the boot on the chest of DDP’s lifeless body as the referee, groggy from being dragged out, slides back into the ring to count the pin! 1…..2….3!!!! Winner and Still WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Hollywood Hogan The boos are deafening as Luger helps Hogan to his feet, raising his arm in victory. Randy Savage slides back into the ring, laughing, and the three men embrace as the nWo music blares through the arena. Hogan grabs the microphone, grinning ear to ear. Hollywood Hogan: "Welcome to the family, Lex Luger, brother!" Luger, now draped in black and white “nWo” shirt, stands tall with Hogan and Savage, sneering down at the fallen DDP. DDP stirs slightly, realizing the betrayal, but Savage stomps him back to the mat with vicious kicks. The nWo stands triumphant as the fans shower them with boos, throwing trash into the ring in disgust. The camera zooms in on the smug faces of Hogan, Savage, and Luger, who all flash the nWo hand signal over DDP’s body. The crowd chants, "You sold out! You sold out!" as the scene grows increasingly chaotic. The last image of Halloween Havoc 1997 is that of the nWo standing tall, with Hogan holding the WCW World Title high above his head, Luger officially a member of the faction, and DDP lying motionless in the ring. The screen fades to black as the nWo music plays, signaling that the war for WCW is far from over. OOC: Replace Nash with Awesome, Hall with Luger and Syxx with Triple H!
  2. WWF will drop Droz WWF will sign Ernest "The Cat" Miller Somebody call his momma!
  3. Yeah you can I will update your roster.
  4. Noted and Updated! If any more trades happen let me know. If you guys want we can do the draft November 1st.
  5. That's Fixed So usually we have to wait till November since you already used your Untouchable Trade-in, but since it's just us and it's two mid-carders that are not major players. I will go ahead and make the changes for you. I will give you Val Venis and dropped Van Hammer as well.
  6. Larry Z will be released from WCW. To fill that void, WCW will move Heenan back to commentary from his managerial spot. Also I added those free agents to the Free Agency.
  7. I am sure some people will like it but it's also easy to see how and why others will hate it. The announcers also did a horrible job at getting that angle over. Ross basically by saying "where have they been" about talent coming down the ramp to save Bryan. Then Excalibur just basically on the verge of tears with Tony spouting off his whole "Worst thing I have ever seen in the history of this sport" hyperbole. Well, that sure didn't help it either. That three-man booth with Excalibur, Ross and Tony is ROUGH to listen to. They basically just ignore Ross the whole time and everything feels off. The match that we saw deserved a better ending than that. Maybe when Bryan comes back and fights The BCC and Moxley it might change the way I feel about this right now, but I guess I will wait and see what story AEW tells from this and if it all pays off in the end but for me it just felt off tonight. If I am in the minority on that I will take it, but that ending in my opinion was absolutely horribly executed. It's like they say. You can have a great PPV but how you end it is all people will talk about. Even though Murtos was completely awesome tonight and deserved to win his match with Hologram and Takeshita FINALLY won a title in AEW. They had some positives, but it sucks that last angle left me with such a sour taste. I guess it just all boils down to that I just don't have any desire to see Darby/Mox which is now the obvious build from that angle, because I didn't like their Grand Slam match and I highly doubt their next one would be better and I also don't care for OC/Mox either which will probably be their side quest before they do the Mox/Darby. Unless they find better dancing partners for Mox. I just don't give a damn about his title reign.
  8. What a horrible fucking ending to a PPV. This is WrestleCrap!
  9. WCW will sign Doink the Clown (Matt Borne)
  10. WCW Presents: Halloween Havoc 10/19/1997 Las Vegas, Nevada (MGM Grand Arena) WCW World Title Match Hollywood Hogan© with Randy Savage vs Diamond Dallas Page with Lex Luger Storyline: For years, Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) has been fighting to prove himself as one of WCW’s top stars. Despite facing constant roadblocks and being overlooked, DDP’s hard work and resilience have finally paid off. At the previous PPV, DDP shocked the world by defeating Randy Savage, a cornerstone of the nWo, in a brutal and hard-fought match. This victory was a pivotal moment in DDP’s career, as it earned him the long-awaited opportunity to challenge Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Title at Halloween Havoc. However, DDP knows that challenging Hogan means more than just a title match—he’s up against the entire nWo. Hogan has been using every dirty trick in the book to retain the championship, and with Randy Savage in his corner, DDP is facing overwhelming odds. Enter Lex Luger. Despite his own ambitions to challenge Hogan for the World Title, Luger sees the bigger picture. Luger knows that the nWo’s grip on WCW must be broken, and DDP stands as the best chance to dethrone Hogan. Reluctantly, Luger agrees to align with DDP, but tension simmers between the two. Luger believes he should be the one in the main event against Hogan, but for now, he's willing to stand by DDP’s side to help WCW regain control. This uneasy alliance adds a layer of complexity to the match, as Luger must put his personal aspirations aside for the greater good—at least for now. Meanwhile, Sting has been lurking in the shadows, the ultimate wild card in the war between WCW and the nWo. Having been absent from the ring for months, Sting watches over the battle for WCW from the rafters, biding his time to make his return. His presence looms large over the match, as no one knows when he might strike or who he will target. While DDP and Luger prepare for the battle of their lives against Hogan and Savage, everyone in the arena knows that Sting could appear at any moment, either to aid WCW or to pursue his own agenda. As Halloween Havoc 1997 approaches, the stakes have never been higher. For DDP, this is his moment to finally break into the main event scene and take down the nWo’s leader. With Luger’s help, DDP has a chance to pull off the unthinkable and bring the WCW World Title back home. But with the nWo’s devious tactics, Luger’s lingering jealousy, and the ever-present threat of Sting, nothing is certain in this high-stakes encounter. Grudge Match Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith vs Ric Flair and Arn Anderson Storyline: After his dramatic arrival in WCW and his alignment with the Hart Foundation, Bret Hart made it clear that his ultimate goal was to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion and finally restore honor and wrestling excellence to the company. However, as Bret Hart began his climb toward the top, he quickly found himself entangled in a bitter feud with none other than Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen. The Four Horsemen, led by Flair, see Bret’s arrival as a direct threat to their legacy. Flair has always prided himself on being the ultimate symbol of wrestling excellence in WCW, and the idea of Bret Hart surpassing him and taking the WCW World Title is something Flair cannot stand. Despite Bret’s intentions to focus on Hollywood Hogan and the nWo, Flair and his Horsemen—Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, and Jeff Jarrett—make it their mission to derail Bret’s journey to the top. The Horsemen, now fully embracing their roles as heels, launch a campaign against the Hart Foundation, attacking Bret, Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart, and Test whenever the opportunity arises. Flair cuts scathing promos, accusing Bret of trying to "rewrite history" and take the spotlight that Flair believes still belongs to him. Flair’s jealousy and fear of being replaced as the face of wrestling excellence fuel this rivalry, with Flair declaring that WCW will always be Horsemen territory. As Bret’s quest for the WCW World Title becomes increasingly complicated by the Horsemen’s constant interference, he grows frustrated but remains determined. Bret, ever the honorable fighter, refuses to back down from Flair’s provocations, knowing that beating Flair and the Horsemen is the only way to truly clear his path to the World Title. Bret wants to prove that he is the new standard-bearer of technical wrestling, but Flair and his allies keep forcing the issue, turning what was once Bret’s title chase into a personal grudge. For Flair, it’s more than just about the WCW World Title—it’s about maintaining his status as the greatest of all time. He views Bret as an outsider trying to steal his legacy, and that drives Flair’s desire to humiliate Bret and the Hart Foundation. The Horsemen take every opportunity to interfere in Bret’s matches, preventing him from getting clean victories or advancing in the rankings toward a title shot against Hogan. With Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart, and Test by his side, Bret rallies the Hart Foundation to push back against the Horsemen’s dirty tactics. The two factions engage in brutal brawls, leading to a heated confrontation at Halloween Havoc 1997, where Bret and Davey Boy face off against Ric Flair and Arn Anderson (who temporarily comes out of retirement to support his old friend). This feud isn’t just about titles—it’s about legacy and who truly represents the pinnacle of professional wrestling. The Hart Foundation, as faces, are fighting not only for Bret’s quest to become World Champion but also for the honor of wrestling itself. Meanwhile, the Four Horsemen, as heels, seek to maintain their control over WCW, refusing to let Bret or his family stake their claim. While this feud unfolds, Hollywood Hogan and the nWo are watching closely. They see the escalating war between the Hart Foundation and the Horsemen as an opportunity to divide WCW further, knowing that if Bret and Flair are focused on each other, it keeps the spotlight off the nWo’s domination of the World Title scene. Sting, lurking in the background, could be the wildcard who intervenes in this brewing war or lets it play out to weaken both factions. As Bret Hart battles against the Four Horsemen, his journey toward the WCW World Title becomes more challenging, but the war between these two legendary factions raises the stakes for everyone involved. Will Bret overcome Flair and the Horsemen’s interference to get back on track for a title shot against Hogan, or will Flair’s ego continue to stand in his way? WCW US Title Match Jeff Jarrett© vs Curt Hennig vs Owen Hart Storyline: The WCW United States Championship has become one of the most prestigious titles in WCW, with three of the company’s top stars battling for it: Jeff Jarrett, the reigning champion representing the Four Horsemen; Curt Hennig, the ruthless veteran aligned with the nWo; and Owen Hart, fighting for the honor of the Hart Foundation. This triple-threat match is more than just about the title—it’s a high-stakes battle between three powerful factions, with each wrestler determined to prove that their group is the dominant force in WCW. Jeff Jarrett, the current WCW US Champion, has embraced his role as the cocky, arrogant representative of the Four Horsemen. Under the guidance of Ric Flair, Jarrett has taken on the mantle of "the chosen one" within the Horsemen, using underhanded tactics and sheer opportunism to maintain his grip on the title. Jarrett sees himself as the future of the Horsemen and WCW, and he’s determined to bring even more prestige to his name by defeating two of the best in the business. Jarrett’s confidence borders on arrogance, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to walk out of Halloween Havoc 1997 with his title intact. Curt Hennig, representing the nWo, brings his technical expertise and ruthless nature to the match. Since joining the nWo, Hennig has positioned himself as a top player, not just in the faction but in WCW as a whole. For Hennig, winning the US Title means bringing more power to the nWo and keeping the belt under their control. Hennig’s mastery of wrestling psychology and his experience make him one of the most dangerous competitors in WCW. His alignment with the nWo has only made him more cutthroat, and he sees this match as an opportunity to cement his place as the dominant force in the company. Hennig’s relationship with the nWo gives him an edge, as the faction is known for using outside interference and underhanded tactics to ensure victory. But Hennig also believes he doesn’t need help—his technical prowess, perfected over years of in-ring experience, makes him a dangerous foe for anyone who stands in his way. Owen Hart, representing the Hart Foundation, is entering this match with something to prove. Owen has always felt the pressure of living up to the Hart family legacy, but he’s determined to make his own mark in WCW. His brother Bret Hart may be leading the Hart Foundation in their feud with the Four Horsemen, but Owen’s pursuit of the WCW US Title is deeply personal. Winning this championship would allow Owen to step out of Bret’s shadow and solidify his place as one of the top stars in WCW. Unlike Hennig and Jarrett, Owen fights with honor and integrity, but he’s no stranger to using his technical brilliance and speed to outsmart his opponents. He knows both Jarrett and Hennig are willing to use underhanded tactics, but Owen believes his wrestling ability can overcome their dirty tricks. Owen has dedicated himself to taking down Hennig and Jarrett, not just for the Hart Foundation, but to prove that wrestling excellence still matters in a landscape dominated by factions and betrayals. This match is a battleground for faction pride. With Jarrett representing the Four Horsemen, Hennig carrying the flag for the nWo, and Owen Hart fighting for the Hart Foundation, the stakes go beyond the US Title itself. Each faction has been jostling for control in WCW, and this match will determine which group holds one of the most coveted titles in the company. The outcome will have ripple effects throughout WCW, as the winning faction will gain further momentum in the war for WCW’s soul. Singles Match Dustin Rhodes vs Triple H Storyline: At War Games, the wrestling world was shaken when Triple H turned on his allies, the Four Horsemen, and aligned himself with the nWo. In the closing moments of the match, Triple H, once seen as a rising star within the Horsemen, shockingly attacked Ric Flair, leaving the Horsemen outnumbered and allowing the nWo to secure the victory. Triple H’s defection marked a major power shift, as the nWo gained a new, younger, and calculating member to replace the void left by the departing Outsiders. After his betrayal, Triple H explained that aligning with the Horsemen was never his true goal—he saw them as outdated and clinging to a legacy that no longer had a place in modern wrestling. Triple H, always a strategist, saw the nWo as the future and believed that joining forces with Hollywood Hogan and the nWo’s reign would elevate his career to new heights. He declared that the nWo represented true dominance, and he would no longer be held back by Flair's ego or the Horsemen’s need to relive their glory days. While Triple H’s betrayal of the Horsemen grabbed headlines, it also put him in the crosshairs of Dustin Rhodes. Dustin, a proud WCW loyalist who has always fought to protect the company from the nWo’s takeover, saw Triple H’s actions as a personal affront. Dustin, who prides himself on family legacy and honor, could not stand to watch Triple H turn his back on WCW, and their paths soon collided. Dustin, disgusted by Triple H’s willingness to betray his allies for power, has vowed to make him pay for aligning with the nWo. Their feud is not just about personal differences—it’s about the very soul of WCW. Dustin, representing the traditional values of loyalty and fighting for what’s right, stands in direct opposition to Triple H’s selfish ambition and thirst for control. The feud between Dustin Rhodes and Triple H is a battle of ideals as much as it is a physical contest. Dustin believes in the spirit of WCW and the importance of family, while Triple H has embraced the nWo’s "survival of the fittest" mentality. Their matches have been brutal, with neither man willing to back down. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who manages several nWo members, including Mike Awesome, has also become involved, further fueling the intensity between Triple H and Rhodes by helping the nWo gain the upper hand in some of their encounters. Their rivalry is set to come to a head at Halloween Havoc 1997, where the two will face off in a high-stakes grudge match. For Dustin, this is about defending the honor of WCW and exposing Triple H for the traitor he is. For Triple H, it’s about proving that aligning with the nWo was the right move, and that he can overpower anyone who stands in his way. As their feud continues, the WCW audience is deeply invested in the outcome, with Dustin emerging as one of WCW’s most passionate defenders against the nWo’s domination. Meanwhile, Triple H, now fully embracing his role as a villain, is determined to crush Rhodes and further cement his place as one of the nWo’s key players. WCW TV Title Match Disco Inferno© vs Chris Jericho Storyline: Disco Inferno has surprisingly become a fan favorite over the past few months, despite his flashy, dance-centric persona. The fans have rallied behind his resilience and underdog spirit as he continues to defy expectations and retain his WCW TV Title. Disco's carefree and entertaining style has made him a beloved champion, and he’s embraced the fans’ support, evolving from a comedic act to a respected competitor. On the other hand, Chris Jericho has grown increasingly frustrated with the attention Disco has been receiving. Jericho, now fully embracing his heel persona, believes that he deserves the spotlight and the TV Title. He views Disco as a joke and feels the fans are backing the wrong man. Jericho has been mocking Disco's dancing and his connection with the crowd, portraying himself as a superior athlete and technician. Jericho’s arrogance has made him one of the most despised wrestlers in WCW, as he continuously belittles Disco and the fans. As a result, the crowd is firmly behind Disco Inferno, cheering him on as he prepares to defend his title against Jericho’s ruthless ambition. This match will be a battle of Disco’s heart and determination versus Jericho’s technical skill and dirty tactics. WCW Tag Team Title Match The Steiner Brothers© vs Wrath and Mortis with Jake "The Snake" Roberts Storyline: The Steiner Brothers have been dominant champions, using their blend of technical wrestling and sheer power to reign atop the WCW Tag Team Division. However, a new threat has emerged in the form of the dark and dangerous team of Wrath and Mortis, who are now under the guidance of the cunning and manipulative Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Roberts, known for his psychological warfare and mind games, has taken Wrath and Mortis under his wing, molding them into a deadly force. With Jake's influence, the team has been on a path of destruction, systematically dismantling their opponents while Roberts weaves his manipulative tactics from ringside. Jake's cold, calculated promos have left the Steiner Brothers on edge, as they know he’s always thinking three steps ahead. The Steiners know they are up against more than just a physically imposing team in Wrath and Mortis—they are also battling the sinister mind of Jake Roberts. This match will be a war between the brute strength and technical expertise of the Steiners versus the unorthodox, brutal style of Wrath and Mortis, all while Jake Roberts looks to tip the scales in favor of his dark protégés. The Steiners will have to fight not only to retain their titles but also to survive the mental and physical assault from their challengers and their twisted manager. WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Title vs Mask Eddie Guerrero© vs Rey Mysterio Jr. Storyline: The rivalry between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio Jr. has reached a boiling point, with Eddie, the reigning WCW Cruiserweight Champion, constantly disrespecting Rey and questioning his heart. In a desperate bid to prove his worth and regain honor, Rey Mysterio agrees to put his mask on the line in a Title vs. Mask Match. For Rey, his mask is more than just part of his persona—it’s a symbol of his heritage and pride. Losing it would be a devastating blow. Eddie, known for his technical mastery and ruthless tactics, sees this as the ultimate opportunity to humiliate Rey and solidify his dominance in the cruiserweight division. The stakes couldn't be higher as these two legendary high-flyers clash in what promises to be a fast-paced, emotionally charged match. Tag Team Match The Legion of Doom vs Edge and Christian Storyline: The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) is one of the most legendary tag teams in professional wrestling history, and they’ve made it clear they’re not ready to be pushed aside by the younger generation. Edge and Christian, two rising stars in WCW, have set their sights on making a name for themselves by taking down the veterans. Edge and Christian see this match as their opportunity to prove that they belong at the top of the tag team division, while the Legion of Doom is determined to teach the rookies a lesson in toughness and experience. The clash between the old guard and the new generation will test both teams' mettle and could set the course for the future of the tag division. This is the backstory for HH, but these are the other stories going around WCW. Goldberg’s Winning Streak Storyline: As 1997 progressed, WCW fans began to take notice of a dominant new force in the company: Bill Goldberg. Originally debuting with little fanfare, Goldberg quickly began racking up victories in devastating fashion, defeating opponents in mere minutes with his explosive combination of power, speed, and aggression. His signature moves, like the Spear and Jackhammer, quickly became fan favorites, and his relentless, no-nonsense style resonated with the WCW audience. By mid-1997, Goldberg’s undefeated streak became one of the most talked-about elements in WCW. Match after match, Goldberg plowed through established stars and rookies alike, building an aura of invincibility. WCW management and Commissioner Dusty Rhodes began promoting Goldberg’s undefeated record, officially recognizing the streak, which only added to his growing mystique. While factions like the nWo, the Hart Foundation, and the Four Horsemen waged war over control of WCW, Goldberg quietly but steadily rose through the ranks, refusing to get involved in politics or alliances. His only goal was victory, and he was unstoppable. Goldberg’s streak soon became a source of tension among WCW’s top stars, with wrestlers from all corners of the company wanting to be the one to end his undefeated run. As the streak grew, so did the challenges. Goldberg began defeating bigger names, including mid-card stars like Hugh Morris and Billy Kidman, and even taking out powerhouses like Mike Enos and Scott Norton. With every victory, Goldberg’s momentum grew. By the time Halloween Havoc 1997 rolled around, Goldberg had amassed an impressive record, firmly establishing himself as the next big thing in WCW. Although not involved in the faction warfare that was tearing WCW apart, Goldberg’s streak made him a looming threat for the future. Wrestlers in every faction, including the nWo and the Horsemen, were beginning to realize that Goldberg could soon set his sights on the biggest prizes in WCW. Goldberg’s rise was inevitable, and fans began chanting his name as they awaited his eventual challenge for the WCW World Title. His path of destruction showed no signs of slowing down, and his undefeated streak became one of the most exciting stories in professional wrestling. Roddy Piper’s Crisis Storyline: For the past year, Roddy Piper has been one of the most vocal and determined opponents of the nWo. He fought tooth and nail against Hollywood Hogan and his army of chaos, refusing to back down from the challenge of taking the fight to the nWo. But despite his best efforts, Piper has found himself outnumbered, outmaneuvered, and unable to truly dent the nWo’s grip on WCW. The brutal battles with Hogan, Randy Savage, and the nWo’s enforcers have taken a physical toll on the "Hot Rod." As Halloween Havoc 1997 approaches, Piper begins to show signs of doubt. His legendary toughness and defiance seem to be cracking under the weight of WCW’s ongoing war with the nWo. Week after week, Piper cuts increasingly somber promos, reflecting on his long career and his many battles. While he has always been the one to fight uphill battles, Piper starts to wonder aloud if he can still be the man WCW needs to fight against the nWo. The Rise of WCW's Cruiserweight Division: Winning Fans Worldwide Storyline: Throughout 1997, WCW’s Cruiserweight Division has become one of the most thrilling attractions, captivating audiences with fast-paced, high-flying action. Featuring a diverse range of talent, the division has developed a global following, standing out for its innovation and athleticism. While the heavyweight battles and faction warfare dominate the upper card, the Cruiserweights have become must-see performers, stealing the show and redefining what wrestling can be. At the forefront of this rise are stars like Rey Mysterio Jr., Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, and Hayabusa. Each of these wrestlers brings a unique style, blending lucha libre, technical wrestling, and aerial assaults that leave audiences in awe. Their combination of agility, speed, and daring maneuvers has made the Cruiserweight Division one of WCW’s biggest assets. Rey Mysterio Jr. continues to be the face of the division, his unparalleled high-flying style and resilience captivating fans worldwide. His intense rivalry with Eddie Guerrero over the Cruiserweight Title has set a new standard for in-ring storytelling, with their matches being recognized as some of the best in wrestling. Guerrero, embracing his technical prowess and underhanded tactics, has kept his hold on the title through sheer cunning, making every match feel like a battle of wills and skill. Joining the division are the Hardy Boys, Jeff and Matt, whose innovative offense has added even more excitement to the already electric Cruiserweight scene. Jeff Hardy’s risk-taking style and daredevil leaps have quickly made him a fan favorite, while Matt Hardy's resilience and craftiness have earned him respect among the WCW audience. Together, they bring a tag team dynamic to the division, while also showcasing their individual talents in singles competition. Hayabusa, with his fusion of martial arts, high-flying, and hardcore wrestling, adds an international flair to the division. His matches, filled with innovative offense and breathtaking dives, have brought a sense of unpredictability, making him one of the most exciting stars to watch in WCW. The Cruiserweight Division’s blend of international talent and styles has made it a global sensation. Fans from all over the world are tuning in to see the division’s stars push the limits of what’s possible in the ring. Rey Mysterio, Hayabusa, and the Hardys represent a new generation of wrestlers who emphasize athleticism and innovation, appealing to fans who crave fast-paced, high-risk action. WCW’s decision to give the Cruiserweights a prominent platform has paid off, with these athletes often stealing the show. Whether opening the night or being the thrilling middle card highlight, the Cruiserweights are now seen as one of the most important parts of WCW’s programming, drawing in a broader and younger audience. At the heart of the division is Eddie Guerrero, who has redefined what it means to be a champion in WCW. His technical mastery and ability to adapt to any opponent have made him the Cruiserweight division’s top star. Guerrero’s ongoing feud with Rey Mysterio Jr. has been nothing short of legendary, culminating in their Title vs. Mask match at Halloween Havoc 1997, with Rey’s pride and heritage on the line. With challengers like Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, and Hayabusa waiting in the wings, Guerrero’s reign is constantly under threat, making every Cruiserweight Title match a must-watch spectacle. 11. What an awesome first episode of Monday Night Raw. It had everything to expect from WWF in 1997 just chaos and solid storyline developments. I am excited to see where these angles go. The Rock with Harlem Heat is an awesome pairing especially for a newer age version of the Nation. Kane/Taker will be awesome to see what twists that you take that story. The Outsiders showing up is HUGE and going to be awesome to see. Ending with Austin is very smart to do. Then finally HBK/Mankind in 1997 is going to rock as well. WWF firing on all cylinders.
  12. Awesome to see you back Dragon. I liked doing this closing of the chapter. I always hated having loose ends on something I was working on. I am glad that you got to close this chapter. LastStop thank you for being a part of the game and being gracious enough to let Dragon take. The door is always open if you want to play a different fed or anything.
  13. World Championship Wresting News and Notes for October Nash and Hall Leave WCW, Open Door for Hart Foundation’s Rise In a major shake-up, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall have shocked WCW by opting not to extend their contracts, turning down guaranteed money in the process. The duo, who were instrumental in the rise of the New World Order and WCW's dominance over the past year, are reportedly seeking new opportunities outside of the company. Their departure has left a significant void in the roster but has also paved the way for Bret Hart and the Hart Foundation to step into the spotlight. Bret, Owen Hart, and Davey Boy Smith’s recent arrival in WCW is now being seen as a direct response to Nash and Hall's exit, with the Hart Foundation positioned as top-tier talents to help stabilize the company. While the loss of Nash and Hall is a blow, WCW officials believe the Hart Foundation will bring a fresh dynamic and credibility to the product as locker room leaders and in-ring performers. The backstage sentiment is that Nash and Hall’s departure could signal a broader shift in WCW, with the company moving away from relying on high-priced veterans and focusing more on pushing its younger stars alongside proven names like the Hart Foundation. Hogan's Contract Situation in Limbo Hulk Hogan's WCW contract is reportedly set to expire after Starrcade, and there is significant buzz within the company about his interest in testing free agency. While Hogan may be open to fielding offers, both Ted Turner and Eric Bischoff are determined to keep him under the WCW banner. With Hogan still being one of the top draws in the business, losing him could be a major blow. Negotiations are ongoing, but nothing is certain at this point. Dusty and Dustin Rhodes Resolve Longstanding Heat The longstanding tension between Dusty Rhodes and his son Dustin appears to have come to an end. Sources say that both men recently sat down for a heart-to-heart, and the issues that had been plaguing their relationship have been ironed out. With Dusty currently serving as WCW Commissioner, this reconciliation could lead to more opportunities for Dustin in the future. Jim Neidhart Released After Failed Drug Test In a shocking development, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart has been released from WCW after failing a drug test. Neidhart's departure has left a spot in the Hart Foundation faction, which has quickly been filled by the up-and-comer Test. Test, already showing great promise, is expected to be a key player alongside Bret Hart, Owen Hart, and Davey Boy Smith as the group continues its dominant run in WCW. WCW to Focus on Youth Movement WCW appears ready to turn its focus to a younger crop of talent in the coming months. Expect major pushes for rising stars like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio Jr., Chris Jericho, and Bill Goldberg. With these names already gaining significant traction, WCW is looking to inject fresh energy into its programming, and these talents could be at the forefront of the company's plans heading into 1998. Battlebowl Returning to Replace World War 3 WCW has decided to bring back the Battlebowl concept for its November pay-per-view, replacing the costly World War 3 event. The decision to scrap the three-ring format for World War 3 was reportedly made due to financial considerations. Battlebowl will feature a unique format where tag teams are randomly paired, leading to a battle royal where the winner not only receives the prestigious Battlebowl ring but also a guaranteed WCW World Title shot at Starrcade. Bret Hart Back to 100%, Hart Foundation as Locker Room Leaders After a few weeks on the sidelines with a broken hand, Bret Hart has fully healed and is ready to return to action. Alongside Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith, Bret has become a respected locker room leader in WCW. The trio is seen as a stabilizing force backstage, guiding both the younger talent and the more established names. Expect the Hart Foundation to play an even more prominent role on-screen as WCW moves forward. WCW Forms Working Agreement with Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling WCW has officially entered into a working agreement with Jim Cornette’s Smoky Mountain Wrestling, a partnership designed to help develop younger talent who need more seasoning before stepping onto the big stage. This deal will allow WCW to send up-and-coming wrestlers to Smoky Mountain Wrestling for further experience, with the goal of sharpening their skills in front of smaller, but dedicated audiences. The arrangement is seen as a win-win for both promotions. Smoky Mountain will benefit from WCW’s roster depth, while WCW can ensure that its future stars receive valuable ring time and mentorship under Cornette’s seasoned eye. With WCW increasingly looking toward the future and its youth movement, this agreement is expected to play a crucial role in developing its next generation of stars. Triple H Emerging as a Creative Prodigy, Backed by Dusty and Flair – A Shocking Development In a surprising twist, Triple H is being hailed as a creative prodigy within WCW, despite only being seen as a mid-card talent and an expendable member of the Kliq during his time in WWF. For someone still considered young in the business and not yet a top-tier star, Triple H's influence on the creative process has raised eyebrows backstage. His insights on match structure and storytelling have earned him the respect of veteran minds like Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair, who are huge supporters of his vision. This development is particularly shocking given the fact that it's 1997, and Triple H has yet to break out of the mid-card scene in WCW. Many still remember him as a lesser-known member of the Kliq, but his creative acumen is making waves. With Rhodes and Flair backing him heavily, it’s possible that Triple H’s growing influence could lead to more significant roles for him both on-screen and behind the curtain. His trajectory is one to watch closely in the coming months. Halloween Havoc 1997: A Complete Sellout, Set to Be a Huge Show for WCW WCW’s upcoming Halloween Havoc pay-per-view is officially a complete sellout, and all signs point to it being one of the biggest shows in the company’s history. With a stacked card featuring top-tier matches like Hollywood Hogan vs. Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW World Title, Bret Hart leading the Hart Foundation against The Four Horsemen, and Eddie Guerrero defending the Cruiserweight Title against Rey Mysterio Jr., Halloween Havoc is poised to be a massive success. The buzz surrounding the event has reached a fever pitch, and WCW is pulling out all the stops to deliver a blockbuster show. Eric Bischoff Steps Out of the Spotlight, Focuses on Growing WCW Behind the Scenes In a notable shift, Eric Bischoff has no plans to continue appearing on camera as an on-screen talent. Bischoff, who played a pivotal role in the rise of WCW, is now focused solely on working backstage to secure major deals and help grow the company’s footprint. Sources say the decision to add Dusty Rhodes as the on-screen Commissioner was to free up Bischoff’s time, allowing him to concentrate on larger strategic efforts for WCW’s future. With Bischoff fully committed to expanding WCW’s business operations and Rhodes stepping in to run the show on camera, this move signifies WCW’s intent to ensure continued success both in the ring and in the boardroom.
