  1. And I love how they put this over with the two sick bumps Scorpio takes on the floor, only to get back in the ring before the count, although I don't think the first was meant to be the crazy ass headrop it ended up being.
  2. Agree with Loss that it's good to see a table spot sold. Luger barely moved for the rest of the segment. And I loved Flair's reaction to The Giant that you see in the replay, and how he's sitting on the guadrail ready to run if Giant comes toward him.
  3. It seems to me that you can really tell how cut up Bret is by people thinking Shawn is best. The Shawn "Markman" comment from 1997 came to mind when watching this.
  4. I haven't watched it in years but I remember loving that Sting/Flair vs. Arn/Pillman match that is mentioned above. Popped huge when Flair punched Sting. Even just including the last few minutes of Sting trying to make the tag and Flair turning on him when he does would be awesome.

  6. They had a match on PPV in 2003 I think, but that was before Cena became the man.
  7. I thought they'd been profitable for a couple of years now.
  8. Wait, CM Punk shaves people bald?
  9. Did the 'Verne tried to pay Sheik to break Hogan's leg' story come from Hogan's book or was it around before that?
  10. I just got back from it and it was about as bad as one would expect. But hey, I got to see Hogan vs. Flair (albeit a long time past their use by dates) so I can die a slightly happier man. Can't complain with paying $50 for a 3rd row seat. Both Hogan and Flair bled with Flair's being a pretty big gusher. Hogan won after hitting Flair with brass knucks that Flair had used earlier. Crowd was bigger than I though it would be. I'm terrible at estimating things like this but I would say at least 7000. And on a pointless note, Umaga looks tiny next to Rikishi. At one point Umaga was standing behind him and he looked like a little kid.
  11. What's the smallest crowd Hogan has wrestled in front of in the last 20 years?
  12. A TV station here in Australia is running ads saying he Hulkamania tour will be broadcast in December. Not sure if it's a full show/shows or highlights.
  13. Does anyone know much about TNA's financials? Where they profitable last year? What do they get from their deal with Spike, or other buisness deals they have?
  14. As far as Australia is concerned they're running in the same markets (really, in Australia there's not too many places you can go to outisde of the capital cities) and running in pretty much the same arenas (as are TNA next year, which will be interesting).
  15. Flair and Onita blowing each other up and flopping around for 12 minutes might be the only freakshow that has enough going for it to get me back to watch wrestling one last time. I'd love to see the economics of this new company here though. If there's cash being thrown around the ticket prices might be high enough to kill their own novelty value. And if the money isn't there the whole thing doesn't make sense. They're selling Q&A session tickets for $750 (AUD, which includes a diamond seat). Cheapest tickets are $62. By comparison, the cheapest WWE tickets are around $30-$40 and their front row (which I assume is what Hulk's diamond seats are) are around $350.
  16. Sting or Cena Necro or Brody Hansen or Dr Death Danielson or Dynamite
  17. Since 2006 - J Hardy vs. Morrison
  18. As far as buisness goes, how does the Bundy programme compare to Hogan's other big fueds?
  19. I'm not too great with my WWF history, but financially, how were they by HBK's first world title win? I think 94/95 was the worst period, but were they out of hot water by the time HBK became the top guy or did he play a large part in it?
  20. Maybe this should go in the Myth thread, but how much truth is there to the "Chris Benoit: Greatest guy in the world until that day" talking point? I see people still bring this up, but then there are the stories like calling a Japanese ref a little bitch for crying or threatening to mangle his hands on the ring posts in WCW, which aren't the worst things you'll ever hear about a wrestler, but hardly something someone with the angelic reputation Benoit had would be doing. What other stories of Benoit's sociopathic behaviour are there?
  21. Australia is the same. On the extremely rare occasion it gets mentioned somewhere there's always the Fight Club comparisons flying around.
  22. Is it possible to get the previous discs?
  23. Looking for help trying to identify what show a certain Midnight Express vs. RnR match is from. The only thing I can remember is the Midnight's get DQed when they knock the ref out of the ring and they leave with all the belts. Any help would be appreciated.
  24. A few questions Can people from overseas (Australia) join? If so, how much extra is it? Can one get copies of the first 2 discs?
