WWE TV 01/28 - 02/03 Brazil is covered in mud and blood
Grimmas replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Has a three way match ever been a major draw or a huge match in history? Straight up matches are always more important. A Charlotte-Ronda-Becky match is just not as big as a Ronda-Becky match. -

Dean Ambrose and The Ascension are completely different things. TNA signed up people there were underneath comedy acts and pushed them as main eventers. Signing a main eventer and pushing them as a main eventer is what you want to do. -

The WWE is out of their mind if they add Charlotte to the main event. I won't believe that Metlzer is right here until I see it, because it would be one of their stupidest moves in history. They really just need to have Becky win, Charlotte beat Asuka, and Sasha/Bayley win the tag titles and end the show with the four horsewoman celebrating with all the gold. You can do your Ronda/Baszler Horsewoman vs these Horsewoman as the program afterwards. If they aren't thinking that, they should be. As for Dean, that would be kind of a big deal for AEW, wouldn't it? Dean hasn't been great in the WWE for awhile, but Dean was freaking great in FCW and Indies as a promo and character, so I wonder how much of it was the writers and not him. I also wonder if this affects Rene Young in anyway? -
The Ex in Toronto each year basically is made by having some insane food thing each year. A few year's back it was a humburger but without a bun it was doughnuts.
-
I could see Kairi Sane, Undisputed Era, Kacy (American Ninja, can't remember last name), Toni Storm, Pete Dunne, and David Arquette. Well, predictions that have no basis in reality atleast.
-
They should put Sean Mooney in.
-
Maybe next year they should add a NXT Rumble match to this TakeOver?
-
Thanks folks, going to stay on twitter. Stay classy.

If someone says, I don't think Ohno's attire flatters him or looks good that is fine. Saying I hate seeing his fat thighs is another. I can't believe I have to explain this to people.
-
Then you don't know what fat shaming is.
-
"This'll sound really bad but I kinda hate seeing Ohno's fat thighs " Yeah it's happening here.
-
Can we stop with the stupid fat shaming people? Hero is one of the greatest wrestlers ever and so far this match has fucking delivered.

Man, Thatcher, Rusev, & Gulak is such a dream team for me!

Thanks all for your feedback. Hopefully you like where things head from those angles. The first episode of Festival de Lucha has arrived. Shown live on television in English and Spanish, with subtitles and a different announce team for each broadcast. IWC Festival de Lucha January 24, 2019 in Los Angeles, CA The Globe Theatre JoJo welcomes us to Festival de Lucha here live in the Globe Theatre, as IWC will be each week going forward! Freddie Prince Jr. has sent in the names that were randomly drawn to compete in crown the very first IWC Lightning Champion. Anyone who has won their last match can enter themselves into this draw. The first name drawn was Deonna Purazzo, of Los Maestros.. The second name drawn Bandido, who came to the ring limping after the attack from The Briscoe Brothers at First Strike. 1. Match to crown the first IWC Lightning Champion: [Técnico] Bandido vs [Rudo] Deonna Purazzo The high flyer Bandido is grounded due to the injury from First Strike and Purazzo, who is the leader of Los Maestros, going to work on it. Remember each Lightning Title match has a ten minute time limit. Every hope spot of Bandido is interrupted by Purazzo. At the eight minute mark, Bandido makes his comes back and goes up to the top rope to finish Purazzo off, only for the rest of Los Maestros to come to ringside to distract Bandido and the referee, while The Briscoe Brothers run out and nail Bandido in the leg with a steel chair. Purazzo slaps on a leg submission to pick up the win and the title. The Briscoe Brothers high tail to the back as Los Maestros celebrate with the title as we go to commercial. Winner: Deonna Purazzo @ 8:51 to win the IWC Lightning Title. Back from commercial UltraMantis Black is trying to get to the bottom of what The Briscoe Brothers are doing with their constant attacks on Bandido and them joining the protest at First Strike. The Briscoe Brothers are sick of illegals coming into America and taking jobs from great Americans. They are interrupted as UltraMantis got a text from Freddie Prince Jr. informing us that The Briscoe Brothers are banned from The Globe Theatre for the next 30 days. Briscoes are pissed and that thief Bandido will pay for this. We get a video package hyping up the tournament to crown the IWC Champion including the brackets. Mike Quackenbush and Leonard F. Chikarson talk about what has happened already tonight. Purazzo is the Lightning Champion and although she is deserving, she did not fairly win that title. She will have to defend that title next week! They are happy The Briscoes are banned from The Globe Theatre due to their actions. They then run down the tournament and each make predictions, Quack believes LA Park is the favourite, while Chikarson feels Rush is Mascara Dorada will win. 2. IWC Title Tournament First Round Match: [Técnico] Dragon Lee vs [Rudo] ACH Here we have two of the best wrestlers in the world, not only at high flying, but all around as well going at it. A fair contest where each were very close to winning, however Dragon Lee was just too much for ACH to handle as he picks up the win to advance. Winner: Dragon Lee @ 15:54. A taped promo from Darkness Crabtree is shown, saying he will be hear next week. He appears to be an extremely old man in a mask. Next UltraMantis Black congratulates Sasha Banks for dumping that loser Bayley and going on her own. Banks says The Boss is back and the IWC Title will be her's. 3. IWC Title Tournament First Round Match: [Técnico] Mayu Iwatani vs [Rudo] Sasha Banks Fans throw streamers for Iwatani who does a spin and collects them all and then trips going to the corner to get them removed. Banks looks on in disgust. Sasha goes to hug Mayu to taunt Bayley, but Mayu slaps her. The shit is on and we get an intense contest that goes back and forth. A Banks Statement finishes Mayu off. Winner: Sasha Banks @ 17:04. We get hype for next week where we will get three IWC Title Tournament matches including: Mercedes Martinez vs Rey Fénix, Daniel Makabe vs Atlantis, and Jordynne Grace vs Kairi Hojo.

Yeah, those are fine. Going forward we will set up the waiver wire though.

I couldn't tell you, but Sombra in CMLL was fucking great. Check out his mask matches at the Anniversary Shows for some of the best stuff ever. You might want to try thecubsfan on youtube. Everything is posted there as separate matches going back years, instead of full shows. It might be easier to navigate.

IWC First Strike January 19, 2019 in Long Beach, CA Long Beach Arena Shown live on The Lucha Libre Network and Youtube. A video package airs going through the history of lucha libre and then shows highlights of IWC talent showing the future of lucha libre. As the video package ends we focus on JoJo in the ring, the host of the International Wrestling Council. She welcomes everybody to the future of lucha libre! It all begins with this "First Strike". We then get introductions for our opening contest, which features the young guns of IWC. 1. Atómicos Show Case Match [Técnicos] Volador Jr. y Mayu Iwtani y DemonXBunny (Allie y Rosemary) vs [Rudos] ACH y Princess KimberLee y Jordynne Grace y Templario We are joined by our announce team of "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush and Leonard F. Chikarson to call the action tonight. Quackenbush explains the rules of IWC, which differ from traditional lucha libre. First what stays is the lucha tag format, i.e. a wrestler can make a tag by leaving the ring. What differs is that the matches will be one single fall and there will be no "Captains" rule. Tonight's matches are not only important, because it's the debut show for IWC, but there is title implications. On the first episode of "Festival de Lucha" on January 23rd the inaugural IWC Lightning Champion will be crowned. The Lightning Title will be defended each week on television in a match with a ten minute time limit. The challenger will be drawn at random from anybody who has won their last match (within the last 30 days) who declares they want the challenge. For the first champion, two of the people who have won tonight will be drawn at random for that chance. On top of that the 32-person IWC Title Tournament will begin on the 23rd as well. Most of these competetors are in the tournament and are looking to gain momentum. This contest is a spotfest to showcase some younger talent to the world. Volador Jr., ACH, & Templario dazzle with their high flying. Mayu Iwatani is the charmaing underdog babyface who puts up a good fight. Jordynne Grace shows off her power moves. Princess Kimber Lee is acrobatic but vicious. Allie is the charming Bunny and has her odd dynamic with the Demon Rosemary. Volador Jr. hits an impressive top rope Frankensteiner on Templario for the victory. Winners: Volador Jr. y Mayu Iwtani y DemonXBunny @ 9:02. We head backstage where "Journalist" UltraMantis Black is Los Ingobernables (Rush, CIMA, & Mia Yim). Black qustions Rush on his new team, since he lost all of his former Ingobernables and questions if it's smart to have talent from Mexio, the USA, and Japan on one unit. Rush answers in Spanish (which are subtitled) saying this is the best unit he has ever had behind him. Mia Yim says that LA Park has been a thorne in Rush's side for too long and it ends tonight! Back to JoJo to introduce us to our next match. 2. Trios Action [Técnicos] The Colony (Silver Ant y Fire Ant y Green Ant) vs [Rudos] Nueve Generacion Dinamitas (Sansón y El Cuatrero y Forastero) Quackenbush is very excited for this match, as it is luchadors in their element in trios action! Chikarson asks him if he can be unbiased, since he trained The Colony? Quackenbush says he will do his best. The Colony is a team of ants, which Nueve Generacion Dinamitas are the sons and nephews of one of the most famous luchador of all-time in Cien Caras and his famous team. All competitors are great all around athletes and this was an excellent match with the rudos cheating to gain advantage and get the eventual win when Sansón hit the Poder Dinamita (a torture rack power bomb) for the win on the youngest member of The Colony Green Ant. Winners: Nueve Generacion Dinamitas @ 10:04 We are thrown to the back where UltraMantis Black has a report for us. There is some kind of disturbance outside the arena, some kind of protest. UltraMantis will get to the bottom of this and report back. JoJo invites us back to the action for a battle between some amazing high flyers and a team that claims to be the masters of the mat Los Maestros. 3. Air vs Ground: [Técnicos] Stuka Jr. y Soberano Jr. y Flamita vs [Rudos] Los Maestros (Deonna Purazzo y Rey Hechicero y Virus) Los Maestros ground the high flying trio for the majority of the contest wtih matwork and submissions. Late in the contest Stuka Jr. slid out of the ring off an irish whip and Soberano hit a springboard dropkick on Virus out of nowhere to finally get the high flyers into their element. We get a trio of dives by the high flyers, but once we got back in the ring Hechicero hits El Conjuro (spinning hammerlock into backbreaker) on Flamita for the win. Winners: Los Maestros @ 13:38. We head to old school Royal Rumble style short promos by each competitor in the Inernational Incident Elimination Match. Each wants to win the match to show their country is the best. 4. International Incident Elimination Match: [Técnico] Mike Bailey (Canada) vs [Técnico] Toni Storm (New Zealnd) vs [Técnico] Kairi Hojo (Japan) vs [Rudo] Mercedes Martinez (USA) vs [Técnico] Dragon Lee (Mexico) This contest starts with two people in the ring and changes with tags (whether traditonal or lucha). People are elimination by pinfall, submission, and DQ. The match is up tempo with everybody going for elimiations as quickly as they can. Martinez, being the only rudo, ended up being ganged up on after she had tried to eliminate Mike Bailey by pulling his tigths. Mike Bailey and Toni Storm hit a Hart Attack on Mercedes to eliminate her first. Immediately after Storm hit the Storm Zero to pin Bailey. The match comes down to Kairi Hojo, Dragon Lee, and Toni Storm. Lots of action with everybody gaining an advantage. The final moments saw Kairi Hojo hitting her flying elbow drop off the top on Storm to eliminate her. Dragon Lee and Hojo squared off and after a nearfall by Hojo after an inside cradle, Dragon hit the Dragon Driver to pin her and gain the victory for Mexico. Winner: Dragon Lee @ 16:26. We get word that UltraMantis Black is outside and has a report for us. The disturbance outside is a protest with a bunch of white guys in red hats holding up signs saying "Build the Wall". They are protesting all of these "illegals" working here in the USA. Two of the leaders of the protest seem to be Jay and Mark Briscoe. 5. Lucha Dream Match: [Técnico] Máscara Dorada vs [Rudo] Bárbaro Cavernario Two charismatic tremendous workers here go out to put on a classic. Cavernario takes advantage after hittng The Worm and a flying splash from the top to the floor. However Cavernario could not put him away leading to Dorada making a comeback. Back and forth it went until Cavernario misses a huge lariat and Dorada hit the Dorada Screwdriver for the win. Winner: Máscara Dorada @ 22:37. A commercial for "Festival de Lucha" debuting on the 23rd of Janaury is aired. 6. Tag Team Dream Match: [Técnicos] The Lucha Brothers (Pentagón Jr. y Rey Fénix) vs [Técnicos] The Boss 'n' Hug Connection (Sasha Banks y Bayley) Two of the best tag teams in the world both técnicos square off here. Quackenbush and Chikarson are very excited to see this contest. Everybody shakes hands before the match. We get an epic tag match with both teams hiting dives and taking times in charge. We get to a point where Bayley is isolated by The Lucha Brothers and are in control for a long while. Sasha gets begging for Bayley to make a tag or to roll to the floor, but she just can't. The Lucha Brothers go for a Doomsday Device, but Bayley rolls Pentagón Jr. into a Victory Roll for the win gaining the shocking win. Winners: The Boss 'n' Hug Connection @ 18:39. After the match Sasha seems displeased, feeling Bayley stole the spotlight. After some talking they hug it out. As Bayley goes to leave the ring, Banks hits her from behind with a cross block and then stomps on her leg a bunch of times before leaving the ring to boos. We bo to the announce booth where Mike Quackenbush and Leonard F. Chikarsoon are shocked by what happened. They can not believe "The Boss" here. UltraMantis Black joins the booth and applauds Banks for dropping the dead weight and proving she can do it on her own. The three go over the long history of Rush and LA Park and there many year feud and hatred. The main event is now set. 7. The Grudge: [Técnicos] LA Park y El Hijo del LA Park y Bandido vs [Rudos] Los Ingobernables (Rush y CIMA y Mia Yim) Head referee Bryce Remsburg lets the rules be relaxed here as Rush and LA Park immediately take it to the floor and brawl through out the arena. El Hijo del LA Park and Mia Yim square off and also take it to the floor. Those four brawl, throw chairs and garbage cans at each other. It's vicious. All the while CIMA and Bandido put on a beautiful high flying contest inside of the ring. As CIMA is running the ropes LA Park nails him with a chair and Bandido rolls him up to pick up the victory. Winners: LA Park y El Hijo del LA Park y Bandido @ 15:10. Everybody keeps brawling to the back as The Briscoe Brothers apear out of nowhere and attack Bandido leaving him laid out as the show ends.

You folks are just more creative then me, I want more control. I find I can build the stories better if I work backwards.
-
So this fucking ruled. The more I see of Martin the more I believe she is a time traveler. Power bomb, crowd brawling, and two table spots in 1985? Come on! Although Martin controlled most of this and was so fucking awesome just annihilating Petersen, Petersen did show amazing selling and garner great sympathy. I gave it a 7.0.
-
Obviously if you treat workers fairly you can't survive as a business.
-
I actually started my tournament with the final I wanted and then worked my way backwards. No random, all planned.
-
Wow, if a union would bankrupt a business, that means that business is fucking horrible to it's employees.

Thanks Rovert, some interesting stuff. She went into some of that stuff on Lillian Garcia's podcast as well. It seems like around the heel turn she has finally coped with all that stuff and is super confident. -
WWE TV 01/14 - 01/20 Bolsonarism is taking us to the Middle Ages
Grimmas replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
I really wonder what unique views would be. Judging by twitter/reddit, there is a lot of repeat viewing of that video, sadly.
